Shadow of the Colossus HD Remake

Is anyone else as incredibly excited as I am about this remake? I mean, yea it's pretty much the same game, but the frame rate issues that once kept it from being perfect are now going to be a thing of the past! Here's my problem, I don't actually own a PS3. This leads me to my question. Is it worth buying a whole new system? What other games would make buying a PS3 worthwhile?

I've pondered the very same question you are asking. I never played ICO, but I do own and have beaten Shadow of the Colossus, which was an amazing game. Is it worth buying the console for it? Probably not. Many blockbuster hit games are on both PS3 and Xbox 360 and to some extent the PC/Mac as well. There are a few PS3 exclusives like Little Big Planet, Resistance, God of War, and Demon Souls, but you need to ask yourself if those exclusives outweigh the price to buy the PS3. If the Final Fantasy series had been a Playstation exclusive, then I would have already bought the PS3.

i didn't know they were doing an hd remake of sotc! why havn't i heard of this?! now i wish i had a ps3, unless they do one for the xbox 360... i cant wait to see videos of "let's plays" for it just to see the hd

Was thinking of buying one of the backwards compatible PS3s mainly to play this game, now it seems I don't need to worry about getting a specific model!

this game is amazing but wow did i forget how hard it was 2 can't wait for the last guardian
