making amv's

hi guys i find myself wanting to make an amv but i have absolutely no idea how XD.

was chasing some info on,

programs to use,

how to add audio to snippets of animes,

basically the whole lot XD

any help is much appreciated,

Most people start out with Windows Movie Maker(already on your computer if it's a PC) to start out with, however it is very limited on what you can do compared to other programs but it's a nice stepping stone to prepare you for the more complicated programs. I used it for years and tried to master Windows Movie Maker till I realized I was overdue for something better. I now use Sony Vegas 7.0 but the Photoshop movie editor I don't know what it's really called, Is what I want to try instead. I learned everything I know about AMV Making by myself, ever since I had one high school class of Desktop Video it was non stop AMV making

wow, i have that. i will give it a go... fail miserably then destroy any evidence of ever trying. XD

I use Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate for my AMVs, but I think the newest version is 15...

If you'd like to have subtitles with effects (like the openings of subbed animes) then Aegis my be the right program for you, as it's freeware.

I make a lot of AMV's, in fact, I just finished one last night. It's really fun, most of the time, especially when I'm on a computer other than my own because mine keeps crashing. I use Windows Movie Maker, not the easiest, but currently all I've got, and it's got decent effects and is pretty simple to use.
