pyro67
Personally Sephiroth is one of my favorite video game characters
Ablamar
I still like him as a character, but there are others out there who make Sephiroth look like a mama's boy.
Valeran
Was never a fan of Sephiroth, even before he got "old." His big "plan" was to drop a Meteor on the Earth and he failed. He also spent most of the game frozen, and it was just Jenova in his shape for most of the game, so he didn't even DO most of the stuff.Hard to compare with the previous game's villain (Kefka) who actually WON for a short while. (While also being significantly more interesting and evil.)
trekker1987
If he just wanted to "take over the world" i would agree. But it's a whole other thing to kill/destroy it you have to be pretty evil to do that.P.S. And i still can't forgive him for killing Aries!P.S.S. And there is nothing wrong with being a Momma's boy. the man773
Yes he didn't really accomplish much but he was a badass while he was failing you gotta admit.
Saidon
Okay, let's think about this for a second ...Sephiroth - The Man in the Black Cape, The Legendary SOLDIER, the Destroyer of Worlds, The Son of JENOVA ... and all that crap. For all his hype, let's go over his accomplishments ...Our subject Sephiroth used to be a quiet chap, happily eating dumb-apples with his (possibly homo) chums - Angeal and Genesis. But one day, they both disappeared and poor Sephi was left all alone in the whole wide world ...It was shortly afterwards in the village of Nibelheim that our subject ... snapped so as to say. He embarked on an epic plan to take over the world, completely and utterly annihilating his SOLDIER partner, Zack in the process. His plan would have worked but then he got stabbed by a puny blonde kid who wasn't even a SOLDIER and ended up having to sleep for a few years.Fast-forward a few years and he attempts to take over the planet again. In his long spree of running from place to place, he managed to kill ONE of the hero party members - a flower girl. Yeahhh, real brave, Sephi. Our subject then gained a tonne of power, summoned Meteor blah blah blah but his plans ended up being foiled by the SAME SCRAWNY LITTLE BLONDE KID AS BEFORE!Ah well, third time's the charm as most people say and so Sephi slept again, leaving his younger brothers to do the fighting for him for a while. Near the end of the movie, Sephi decided to make his dramatic "look at my black wings!" entrance and FINALLY take over the planet ...except ...yeah, you guessed it - he got beaten by the SAME SCRAWNY LITTLE BLONDE KID AS BEFORE!Now, this might just be my imagination but if a guy keeps losing to the same guy over and over, a guy, mind you who's had no special training in SOLDIER whatsoever and who even failed the exam to enter it and just used a giant frigging kitchen knife to finish him off; then the former really isn't that tough an opponent.Views?LOLD so hard at this ^ Its all true however we can all say that he is one of the toughest bosses and coolest characters in gaming history winning character awards ( see sephiroth in wikipedia). I think 4th in top villains ? Anywho, big fan of the katana, although yes, big mommas boy HAHAHA
FF3710Freak
Sephiroth is totally overrated. I mean...pretty much all he manages to accomplish is killing a few people. He doesn't manage to rule the world (Like Kefka, and I dont even like him!) or even half destroy it. He just sort of....fails. epically. but he isnt epic. so theres a problem. BugGirl93
He's really only limited by the need for a good storyline that doesn't end with everyone dying. If reality ensued, him stabbing Cloud's vital organs about a dozen times at the end of Advent Children Complete would have (shocker) ended with Cloud dying, and not with Cloud hearing Zack's voice and getting all "My heart will go on" on us. His true potential is held back by the story's inability to handle his overpoweredness, is what I'm saying. Not to mention that back in Crisis Core, he really should've been able to notice Cloud picking up the sword and charging at him from behind, but again, if reality ensued everything would've been 'sploded by him and there'd have been no story to continue and is that really the type of world you want to live in? I didn't think so.
