Whats wrong with my internet?

Okay I got this big problem where I am unable to play a single online game what so ever. But I can use firefox, load youtube videos and talk online(but Skype lags). Awhile ago my computer tower fell off the desk and I put it back up I really don't remember if it started then but it happened sometime after.

What happens in games is sometimes I will log in sometimes I wont. When I do I lag right out and am barely able to pick up anything in chat logs or connect to anybody. I always end up getting DC'ed sometime in. In Vindictus I can run around but when I make a boat ride I go out of it and end up back in town cause their town is pretty much not really connected to the internet.

Okay so this has been going on for almost a week now I believe. I've tried like 4 times unplugging the router for 10 minutes, shutting off my computer, turning it back on, not fixed. Installed AVG Internet Security v9.0663 and did a scan, nothing. Only reason why the trying has been so low is because I'm never home but when I am I wanna play.

My bf thinks my ports are semi damaged from the fall. But I don't see how I'm even connected to the internet if they are even slightly damaged. It's only games that don't work. They worked nearly flawlessly before and I don't have any scripting errors like my old computers.

Later I will see if my moms laptop works as well as my old crappy computer for games. but I gotta work soon

EDIT:I think I figured it out what happened was I had gone into msconfig at one point and saw the services tab and shut down windows firewall completely cause I have the firewall turned off all the time and I don't think it liked that and limited my games or something like that, all i know is it's working
