The war against Or for anime.

Okay I don't know how much people know about the anime and manga situation in japan so I figured I would sum every thing up and then bring up my purpis this thread. Tracking things for the last five years or so this seems to be the story so far. Since about 05 Japan hit an economic slump. This was due to the fact that most of there econ was based off of disposable income. Anime, manga toys and so on. But due to a population drop the sales of all these items went down the tubes. Because of this alot of producers, mangakas and retailers started to focus on the one financial source they could reliy on no matter what. The otaku. And the Moa boom was born. At the same time the Japanese gov passed laws that would hopefully pick up some slack from the lost revenue. Including raising taxes on imports and exports. Even though that meant that for a while foreign countries would receive less anime and manga for a while but it also shielded the world from the moa boom. Note this also delighted xenophobic mangaka, to them it helped lower pirating and allowed them more control over there art. How ever moa went from something cute to something nasty over time. From cute characters to vary sexually represented. For example just look up Kiss sis. It got so bad the Japanese gov created the manga ban. All sexually explicit material in mainstream manga was now illegal. And then in the hopes of compromising lifted some of there taxes on exports and imports to promote world sales.

This created havoc. On one side the otaku say the laws as going against there right to there art. Even if it had negitive results. The xenophobic mangaka who saw it as an attack on there rights to control there work and an allowing to let loose there work to pirates. And of course the gov,(by the way the individuals responsible for the ban are those media is evil types. Witch doesn't help anything.)

Sense then how ever alot has happened. An unfortunate earthquake for example. So this war on anime has currently stopped, but has no sines that it's over.

So now that you know what i'm talking about before things go to pot again what do you think should happen. I just wish every thing can be put aside and anime will be all over world again.

Whats your take on things. As anime and manga fans this is big stuff. Since the taxes were raised in japan anime has gone up a lot. But after the Japanese gov's tax compromises it hasn't come down yet do to producers and mangaka's refusal to back down.
