BushidoSkeleton
He sat upon an overpass above the vile green river flowing through the Forsaken capital of Undercity, contemplating his decision. Had he made the right move or was this the mistake that would lead to his demise?Hybridzombie, a codename, had earned himself a lot of respect among his peers and as a reward he rose in power and title. The goblin was now guild master of The Nephilim, a mighty band of elite mercenaries and tasked with ensuring the future of the guild and its members. At first glance he may not have looked much, just another slum bound goblin out to make gold at any cost. That was always the case until you notice that he was carrying a set of two handed swords and the grace of his moments as he wielded one in each hand. He was a warrior through and through and without a doubt combat was much more exciting to him than bartering goods for profit. “Boss, over here!”The bellowing voice was unmistakeable, it was the hunter. Joktan was a typical orc, big green and hardy. He causally threw himself down next to his guild master following him as always was his loyal companion boar. They had been lifelong friends and the boar was as battle worn as the lumbering orc was himself.“I have done as you have asked.” he said in a hush tone as if the bass in his voice wasn’t echoing around them. “Good work my friend.” Hybrid said as placed his hand on his comrades shoulder “And where are they now?” “They are holed up in a farmhouse towards the north of the Plaguelands.” “We must strike soon for this to work” the goblin said with a grim face. The orc let out a chuckle, “Once that damn troll decides to show up we can head out.” As if waiting for that excact moment a large cat moved lazily out of the shadows and after letting loose a devious grin transformed into a tall troll bound in leather and holding a large staff “As if I would delay the attack, I have been here before our honourable guild master came out of the Royal Quarter mon.” Cocky as always Razvlajin indicated for the sewer exit opening. The troll was a powerful druid and with Joktan made up two thirds of the guilds highest ranking officers. The trio headed out the back sewer exit into Tirisfal Glades, one of the main bodies of Forsaken occupied land. Here the guild was summoned by the leader of the undead forces Lady Sylvanas Windrunner to deal with a band of Alliance heroes that had been causing trouble in the Plaguelands. The heroes were killing off the trade routes between the Undercity and the rest of the Horde by slaughtering the merchants and caravans that normally keep the city fully stocked with food and weapons. Hybrid thought it best to take a few elite members with him to deal with the problem rather bringing a large group and risking the Alliance seeing the small army as an act of war and come in full force against them. The plan was simple, find a way to corner the heroes and take them out. Joktan’s report of the heroes being within a farmhouse was perfect. They would go in and kill them before they could escape and call for help. As long as the elf was at the scene they would be unstoppable. She was a huge benefit to the team but was known to be unreliable when she was meant to be at a certain place and at a certain time, if it wasn’t for her gifted holy magic skills she wouldn’t have made officer rank. The timing was too perfect though, he would send courier mail to her but he would have to strike without her if it came down to it.Once the group was out in the open of the forest Hybrid called his riding wolf to his side and mounted the great beast. After signalling to the others Joktan climbed onto his own riding wolf and Razvlajin shifted into a large bat. The friends made off towards the area where the hunter had last seen the Alliance heroes, it wouldn’t be long before they were locked in battle. The goblin couldn’t hide how much this excited him, he was bloodthirsty in a way that confused most of his kin. He had rejected the life of wealth and social status for the chance to adventure and learn the way of the sword. As they approached the farmhouse they could smell the stench that had been brought on by the Scourge, they had been mostly whipped out by the fall of the Lich King but the scent lingered. The reports proved true and they could soon see the heroes inside the farm house drinking ale and laughing to themselves. No sign of the elf, that paladin was so unreliable, she will be dealt with after the task at hand. After issuing his orders and tactics the two officers nodded and moved into position. The goblin crept up to the front door of farmhouse and waited, he looked over to see the hunter pulling back an arrow ready to fire while his boar was displaying how eager for the fight he was by grinding its hoof on the ground like a raging bull. The druid was higher up on a nearby hill deep in concentration while he was casting. The second he finished his face smirked his trademark grin and large vines grow out of the ground and covered the house, entwining all around the windows and back doors leaving only the front door uncovered. As expected a male human wearing brightly coloured robes opened the door, his hands and eyes aflame searching for a target.THUD! The human dropped like a sack of potatoes with an arrow between his eyes and the household was erupt with roars and two draenei warriors charged out of the house with an intense rage emanating from them. Hybrid took this chance and attacked from behind swinging his swords with the might and fury of a hundred men knocking one of the warriors to his feet as the hunter’s boar locked into combat with the other. As he let out a roar of his own the goblin executed the downed draenei effortlessly and turned his attention to the second warrior who was flailing around a bloodied hand with a few less fingers and trying to fend off the boar with his remain fully intact hand. As the guild master rose one of this swords in the air to strike at the distracted foe but suddenly felt a sharp pain in his spine and everything started going white and feel to his knees, he turned around just before he took his final breath and saw a gnome rouge smiling at him with a great deal of satisfaction.Just as his eyes closed he saw a bright light and an intence burning and what felt like all his pain and his open wounds rewinding fast. The motion of him flying to his feet made him feel sick and he jerked forward and threw up on the ground. “Sorry I’m late.” Renfei said innocently as if she he been late to dinner for reasons beyond her control.“I hate resurrection spell.” Hybrid said while he tried to regain himself. “Would you have preferred to remain dead?” the paladin said slightly annoyed. “Get the gnome!” he barked at his men as if the fact that he just died and came back to life was a small matter. TWACK! Razvlajin thumped the gnome over the head with his staff as it tried to sneak away from the scene of the crime. “We can take this one alive, mon.” Visibly excited with the idea of torturing the rouge. The goblin guild master thought for a moment smiling wickedly to himself, “The Banshee Queen will be pleased with that.”
† Talena Mae
I found it impossible to read and it had my fingers itching to edit it. Could you edit it so it is not a huge wall of text? Pout in some spaces? Eg: "He sat upon an overpass above the vile green river flowing through the Forsaken capital of Undercity, contemplating his decision.
