Malyssa Rahl
Before I explain the problem, let me say that no one has changed router settings or anything like that. Now, onto the problem..On the desktop, and only on the desktop, when plugged into the ethernet cable, I get no internet access, and a message that says that internet access has been disabled by the network administrator. If I plug in one of the laptops, I have full internet access. If I put in the wireless adapter on the desktop, it gets full internet access on the wireless. Only on the wired network does it have a problem. The router is also the modem, it is a qwest/century link modem. If anyone has a solution not covered by what I've already tried, I'd appreciate it. And no, I don't just want to stay wireless.I have tried disabling the netword adapter and re-enabling it.I have tried reinstalling the network adapter.I have tried restarting the computer. (this fixed it the last time an issue like this showed up, but not this time.)I have tried refreshing my computer's IP address.
Dae314
Have you attempted that "diagnose problems" thing? I've found that actually fixes things with network problems sometimes xD. Also, can you get to your router's IP address?
Malyssa Rahl
I forgot to mention that I had done that, and that I had reset the router. But it works now. So its all good ^^
