Fortune Summoners

This is a surprisingly good game. I got it a few days ago after playing through the demo. While the fighting system is hard to get used to, and it feels like you're walking on ice for the entire game, I found that the story and characters were pretty enjoyable. It does get annoying when you don't know where to go and there's no help from any of the NPCs for you, but that's when you use guides like this one.

The game is translated by the same group (Carpe Fulgur) that did Recettear (amazing game :D) and Chantelise (meh game), and it's priced at the same level as Recettear so that says something about the quality of the game. Although, it's not produced by the same Japanese group that did Recettear and Chantelise so Fortune Summoners won't be another recycling of enemies/items like Recettear was for Chantelise (fun fact: Recettear came out after Chantelise in Japan, but Carpe Fulgur thought Recettear was a more novel game so they released that first).

It's currently priced at $20 which is a bit high for what I would actually pay for it. I got the game during the initial week sale when it was $15, and that's about the range I would say is acceptable for a game like Fortune Summoners. If you're mildly interested I'd suggest waiting for the inevitable steam sale to grab it.
