Danmas86 Posted February 12, 2012 Report Share Posted February 12, 2012 No, you don't need DW7 to play extreme legends, but you don't get to play the campaign mode or conquest mode, which in my opinion are very good. But extreme legends not only unlocks all characters right from the get-go, they also add a couple modes to make the game more enjoyable, and adds more weapons to use. The campaign mode is good to start with, since it helps you gain money and weapons to make the other modes a bit easier. So in a nutshell, if you can afford it, I recommend both (assuming that you're a DW fan), but if you can only get one for the time being, start with DW7, then later on add Extreme Legends. afroman681 Posted March 31, 2012 Report Share Posted March 31, 2012 Dynasty Warriors 7 does look interesting considered I have played from 1-6 as well as the side games such as empires, extreme legends, warriors orochi and strikeforce. So in turn 7 should be good considering the bad reviews I've seen but those are from haters and they don't understand the series and its story.
