The official Twitter account for Shueisha’s Super Dash Bunko imprint confirmed on Wednesday that a new project in the R.O.D franchise is planned for the imprint’s new Super Dash & Go! manga/light novel magazine. The project in the works is tentatively titled R.O.D -R, and the magazine just launched on Tuesday.
The original 2000-2006 R.O.D Read or Die light novel series inspired a 2001-2002 video anime series that Manga Entertainment once released in North America. Geneon Entertainment (then known as Pioneer) released the 2003-2004 television series sequel. Aniplex of America then released the -R.O.D -The Complete- Blu-ray box set – with both anime projects.
