I like that they concentrate on different characters each ep and flesh them out. You don't want them all to just go to war and then be killed off without getting to know them a bit more. And Negans going to be around for a long time so you want all the buildup before everything kicks off.

Yeah it helps adds suspense too

It's actually getting better. According to the producer that was on Talking Dead one Sunday, said that all of Season 8 is going to be nothing but action cause this is the "Negan War" arch. Also according to the producer there will be a FTWD and TWD crossover. They're not sure if that episode will be at the end of Season 8 or the beginning of Season 9.

The "action" thus far has been mindboggling stupid though. They just spent thousands of bullets shooting out windows for no apparent reason. Had Negan right in front of them, unarmed, while they had a dozen or more machine guns ready to blow him away and they don't even shoot at him, then when they do start firing, they couldn't hit a single person in the line-up, yet other times can hit stuff from hundreds of yards away with no issue. Thousands and thousands of rounds expended at close range and I don’t believe a single person was actually hit in the entire episode. At the end there were nine people emptying magazines on full auto at an individual a dozen yards away who managed to still duck behind a car and eventually toss a grenade back at them all without taking so much as a scratch.

Negan's henchmen must have been stormtroopers before this all happened because 5 of them with automatic rifles couldn't hit Carol at all and the guy with the big gun in the truck couldn't seem to hit Rick 20 feet right in front of him.

I also liked when the stormtrooper in the back of the truck actually hit the jeep and it started smoking and drifting off... only to heal itself and come right back again, overtaking the truck.

What about Daryl wiping out and then 30 seconds later he is back on his bike, caught up with the truck, and no damage to himself or his bike.

When did Jesus turn into Morpheus from the Matrix? Morgan spent years training with that staff and now Jesus can just best him at will!? Just turn Jesus loose on the Saviors - problem solved.  With Morgan's training he should have easily been able to take care of Jesus. Not only that but he had the staff and armor. Jesus was in a trenchcoat which should have restricted his mobility during a fight. Also Jesus hits Morgan on the armored parts of his body and Morgan seems to be in pain from it.

How many episodes are they going to wait to revisit Negan in the trailer?

And wtf ever happened to Heath? After he disappeared in the episode with him & Tara scavenging, he hasn't been seen or even mentioned again.

And the inconsistency with the zombies: Sometimes the zombies are fast, sometimes they aren't. Sometimes they can go up a hill and then in some episodes they can't. Sometimes they are loud and sometimes they are as silent as Batman. How big an appetite do walkers have, anyway? Do they keep eating until they're full? What if their stomachs have rotted away...does the food just fall out? And does zombie scat litter the landscape?

"The Walking Dead" season nine continues on Sunday, March 10th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. On the all-new episode, "Chokepoint," Daryl's daring rescue mission forces Alpha to unleash a group of her own to retrieve what belongs to her, even if the price is paid in blood. Meanwhile, the Kingdom's plans to reunite the communities is put in jeopardy. The episode is written by Eddie Guzelian and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and directed by Liesl Tommy.

The Walking Dead: Season 11 will be the last one. But they are dragging it out. AMC ordered a 24 episode final season that will air over 2 years 2021 and 2022. After that, they green lit a Carol and Daryl spin-off that will air in 2023 and they green lit an anthology themed show. So those of you who are sick and tired of this franchise will still have many more years left. And Fear the Walking Dead is still active as well along with the World Beyond spin-off.
