Guest Morpheus Posted July 26, 2007 Report Share Posted July 26, 2007 surprised that no one has created a thread for bleach though i'm sure that most anime/manga fans have heard about it. the main character is kurosaki ichigo, a substitute shinigami who must defend karakura town (his home) and soul society, a place where souls are sent after their physical death (afterlife). i'm not really into anime/manga, but i really enjoy this series. In English they call him Ichigo Kurosaki. =P He doesn't defend the Soul Society as far as I have seen... He actually attacks it to save who know who..I've seen episode 1 through 29, then episode 40 through 42. I'm hoping to see the episodes I have missed. I have episode 14 through 28 recorded on a vcr tape. Bleach is a great anime... Oh and the girl in my signature is Rukia from Bleach. Guest Morpheus Posted July 26, 2007 Report Share Posted July 26, 2007 (死神, Shinigami?, literally "death god") is the Japanese name for personifications of death, in particular the Grim Reaper, which was imported to Japan from Europe during the Meiji period.the wikipedia definition of shinigami, i watch the raw/subtitled version of bleach, so it is quite far ahead of the english/dubbed series (episode 135 is going to be released). japanese always put the surname ahead of their first name, so i'm used to calling him kurosaki ichicgo lol. B| I don't mind them, I liked the Hitsugaya filler though. Football. XDI'm trying to DL 135 now but eh, internets being gay for some reason today. I'll get it later I spose. But yeah, Great series. Seriously, we just got out of the Bounto Filler arc. now we got In-Arc Fillers.that's why im reading the manga. loli thought the bounto filler was alrite. idk, i understand that the series needs filler cause they have to wait for the manga writers in order to develop the series, and i much prefer the bleach fillers over the old naruto fillers...like linoud said, i don't mind the in-arc fillers right now, hitsugaya and kisuke urahara are my favorite bleach characters and hitsugaya is the focal point of the filler. Guest Morpheus Posted July 26, 2007 Report Share Posted July 26, 2007 i don't read manga, idk why, i just prefer to watch the anime. some of the last couple episodes have just dragged on for me. like i said before, i don't mind them, but i kind of want more than cake making, kendo swinging, and soccer/football kicking. even when the pseudo arrancar appeared...really didn't keep my attention. the bounto filler had a decent story behind it, now i feel the animators just have decided to do away with any plot until the big war that is supposed to happen finally occurs...oh well, guess i can wait haha. Like, A dude comes with extreme powers, so Ichigo and friends get more powerful, then another strong dude comes, and they eget even more powerful, and so on so on so on, for 400 eps until they all have the Ability to destroy whole planets but keep fighting eachothers with swords.I did like it at the beggining. It's quite amusing how they describe Miasma as Hollows. I didn't like the voices nor how the eng. voice actors performed with their voice. (Yes i'm picky lol) heh if you've only seen that much then you're in for some awesome episodes! they get so good from like ep 40+*SPOILER WARNING (for Koby and other dub watchers xD)*On a side note...I REALLY hated how they ended the HM arc to the new Amagi arc....like seriously... there was like nothing in between telling us how everyone recovered from like their practically fatal wounds (rukia and chad for instance). Renji, Ishida, and Ichigo weren't as badly hurt, but Rukia who was like DEAD and Chad who was fatally injured just all of a sudden were okay in the new arc as if nothing happened! that pissed me off cause there's a chunk of story missing and I was hopin for some tears from Ichigo and the gang about Rukia (cause she was the basically-dead one). but nooooo they just cut out the recovery and all the could've-been sad stuff. GAWD. I really wanted to see something tragic like that...that maybe Rukia was now dead and then Ichigo get all depressed and stuff....then again since it's like 14+ i guess they couldn't have that or something >,< Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm sort of annoyed with the current filler. It really is reminiscent of Naruto. Least the Bount fillers weren't this bad. I thought Kenryu looked okay, but he's actually so gay it's unbelievable. >>;Last one I saw was about four episodes into the filler? And it wss the cheapest full season anime price I think I'd seen besides season 1 it was $034.94, and for an anime, that's a steal, the only anime I saw that the full season was cheaper than Bleach was Dragon Ball Z. and that was like $29.99. And for all those people who want ot hear it in the original Japanese, the Japanese track is on there, with the REAL translation of the orginal Japanese not the fansubs. O.oAlso it seems FUNimation are finally getting Yuyu Hakusho out in box sets, the first two box sets of it are out and pretty decent pricing as well!
