We need to make some noise and get people aware of this as it could be bad for everyone outside the US and Canada.

Knowing how this forum is hosted outside the US, our community could fall victim to this at any time.

We already have a few pre-requisites that could help getting this defeated once again

-The US president (Donald Trump as of the creation of the post) hates the TPP, so this could get international fanatics of the president to turn against it.

-There's currently a holocaust-like scenario in the Hollywood where many prolific people are being outed as sexual pests, making the fact that they're trying to get people canned from cyberspace for doing as little as looking up movie clips not sit well with many (TL;DR it should be a cakewalk to get the pedowood crowd on-board).

Quoting a anonymous 8chan user (ID 866ffd on 11/11/17) the anon summarized the bill in full as:

Quote

They claim no dates are confirmed and they need to re-draft the text- but you know how sneaky these bastards are.

Everything from before still applies.

Hiding draconic punishment by banning whole families from using the internet under pretext of copyright law in the deal.

Making ISPs capable of more monitoring than the NSA is in the deal.

Ignoring environmental and worker laws as they see fit is in the deal.

A nation's own laws mean nothing, and TPP overriding them is still in the deal.

Them making every attempt to keep it out of the public eye as much as possible is still in the deal.

Them making the document itself as hard to get a complete copy of is still in the deal.

Them keeping the document secret for YEARS after it has passed is still in the deal.

Because the TPP has never been about trade, and all of the above is the true goal.

Isn't Canada still a part of the continued TPP-11?

I know trudeau walked out at one point but I'm not sure exactly if Canada walked out of the deal.

Last I heard, Canada walked out of it, and it seems the bill is leaving all of North America out of the deal.

If true that's good for them. More Copyright industry trojan horsing thwarted. I really hope other countries drop out.

That being said, Bell (canada's ISP) wants to censorship of the web to be a part of the NAFTA re-negotiations. The Industrial Protectionism never ends.

The more content creators try to fight piracy, the deeper it gets.  It can never be thwarted.  The war is of fruition, and it seems pirates/indies are winning knowing how Hollywood is currently having a holocaust (heh, Hollycaust) of it's own called #MeToo, power-grabs like this having their true intentions shown for what they are, power-grabs, and ultimately pirates and indie producers being some resilient bastards.
