Yup, I make them myself using After Effects. People complained about the text in my previous signature not having the right perspective (although it wasn't even my intention to match the perspective, but whatevs). Since I have nothing else to say about my avatar I might as well tell you a little bit about my most recent signature (you seem to like it, hehe). While you may not notice it from first glance, this one was very tricky. The original shot has this flower in it, which I had to mask out by duplicating a bunch of areas from previous frames (this mostly applies to the right half because that's where the flower appears). Then I have to blend the areas together by feathering the masks. So the waterfall you're seeing is actually a combination of multiple duplicates, each of them timed slightly differently. All because of that damn flower. But probably the biggest challenge was dealing with the length (as you can see in the video, that shot only lasts for ~2 seconds). Shorter length usually means the loop (repetition) is easier to spot, which would ruin the effect. But I think it turned out pretty alright. Then for the text I used overlay mode (means the text reacts to the brightness/colors of the clip underneath it), added a tiny bit of vertical blur (to match the water coming down vertically, kinda like motion blur), plus some subtle waviness to simulate the water refraction (or whatever it's called), because water bends light and all that fun stuff. I thought it was a neat little detail to add. And just for the heck of it I added some more particles too. Should be more noticeable if you look at the top right corner (these particles aren't visible in the original clip). So yeah, that's the process behind it. Took about 2 hours. But I guess I did a fairly good job since proper editing (in this case removing the flower, etc) isn't supposed to be noticeable. More on that here, if you're interested. Phew. Sorry for rambling.
