Kametsu originally started as a community for anime 'discussion'; it then merged with my other community known as 'Forgotten Memories' which was a community that started as a Final Fantasy discussion board and evolved into Square Enix in general and then into general gaming with an emphasis on RPG games. So Kametsu basically became known as an 'anime & gaming' discussion board. In like 2007 or 2008 we ventured into anime downloads via file hosts and even opened up a premium section for donators which offered downloads of pretty much anything else. That section was later abandoned due to all the file host issues and the lack of support of those sections as a result. I don't really have any intention of venturing back into those realms on Kametsu. I'd kind of prefer it remain a place to discuss anime & video games with an added bonus of anime related downloads. Though in the past few years it's taken a turn where discussion happens rarely and downloads seem the focus; which is saddening really. RAW section sounds good, as for lost downloads, wouldn't that be the request section? Seen as about 50% of the requests all start with "I have looked everywhere for this..." Most people here just want to download Dual audio and Dubbed content. If there was a live action section, I'd stick with OOP and rare stuff, to avoid the wrath of god/major distributors.I was a member of a similar forum close to 10 years ago that also hosted some mainstream films like Spiderman 3. By utilizing our resources, we have the potential to become the largest online community for animation sharing & discussion in the world! Why not broaden our horizons and meet new people? More contributors/encoders/uploaders = less work for the community Not to mention financial support to keep us afloat. shkurti Posted September 12, 2014 Report Share Posted September 12, 2014 The site i feel has a decent balance of options and sections maybe it needs more active users to keep things alive and well, i wouldn't mind a live action section as that could give this forum some boost in users (I'm not complaining either way) if there was a manga section i can tell you now i would definitely be uploading as much as i can since i am a big manga reader so I'm all for a manga section and maybe a graphic novels one as well, something that i have seen on other forums is a link heaven section obviously this will have to be monitored because you don't want people constantly linking porn sites but it wouldn't be bad if say you where randomly looking through as a user and you found a site that you could find convenient and helpful or on the flip side i could have found an awesome site and would want to share it to the community, and my last suggestion is possibly a tutorial section yes i know there is an assistance section and the tech center but if we as a community could make good informative tutorials then maybe people wouldn't have to ask and even users could learn something they didn't know before so that cant be a bad thing.
