slick1109
Problem SOLVED. So I used to be able to download videos directly from the video.Di$ney.com website, but apparently they have beefed up their security and I can no longer figure out how to do it. Here is what I used to be able to do (always worked perfectly): For example: 1. Go to http://video.disney.com/watch/disneychannel-ghoul-friend-4e140abc096282e5f8c1b213This is a webpage to watch a streaming cartoon from the new Mickey Mouse Series. This link sends you to the "Ghoul Friend" episode. 2. Copy that link into "jDownloader" and allow it to Crawl the webpage searching for download links. It will end up giving you about a dozen different download links for the video, in various quality, plus a bunch of other junk. I would always pick the highest quality version which was usually "1920x1080 7840x160 mp4". The link looks like this: http://cdn.secure.videos.dolimg.com/channel_longform/dmms/i29095/3e624b-tsh_pdmms_014_eprhq_v1080p23_hi29095_wec-h264h_aac_1920x1080_7840x160.mp43. Then I could directly download from that link. Done! The Problem is, when I try to download that link now, it no longer works. -jDownloader sees the link as "OFFLINE" -Internet Download Manager asks for a LOGIN and PASSWORD to access the file (which seems to be the new security) -Firefox and Internet Explorer five me an "Authorization Required" page. I have also Tried the Firefox "Download Helper" add-on, "RTMP Dump", and "WonderShare All My Tube". None of which are working. So is there anyway around this upgraded security? There has to be since the video is able to stream. I am trying to grab the entire series in 1080p. Thanks Edited July 23, 2015 by slick1109

StaticX
Ok, I've figured out something, If you have Mozilla Firefox: Go to the link that you posted and on the Page, Right click and select "View Page Info": http://i.imgur.com/9bnLLhO.png and it should come up like this: http://i.imgur.com/BxOvdFw.png go ahead and copy the MP4 link, and then download it with whatever program you use to DL (I use Downloadthemall FF extension) I'm not guaranteeing it will work all the time, but I just thought I'd share this with You
lovebump
if rippers dont work you could always try screen recording software something like Replay Video Capture Edited July 20, 2014 by lovebump
slick1109
The idea from Phaz0n did allow me to download the Streaming version of the one episode, but the streaming version was only "848x480" and was pretty POOR quality. However, it did give me an idea.... I noticed the difference between the link that would download and all the links that wouldnt. The direct download link that required a login/password was: http://cdn.secure.videos.dolimg.com/The link that would download started as follows: https://secure.vp.disney.go.com/The rest of the link was the same. So I was easily able to create working links by making that small change (which essentially is downloading from a different server). I was just lucky that the folder and filename was the same on the other server. However, this only works when I am able to "crawl" the webpage with jDownloader to find the link names, and there are about 13 episodes which I cant find. BUT, what I can find is the "access.mp4" files. Unfortunately, even though they are MP4 files, the "access" files are in some strange format that I can not play. I can use to "access mp4" links to ALMOST determine the real "mp4" links, but each link has a unique 6-character code (consisting of letters and numbers) that I cant figure out. Example "access.mp4" link (This link WORKS, but the file does not appear to be playable): https://secure.vp.disney.go.com/channel_longform/dmms/i29083/2c05cf-tsh_pdmms_002_eprhq_v1080p23_hi29083_wec-h264m_aac_1280x720_2904x96.access.mp4Example ".mp4" link (Missing a 6-char code which is part of the file name [represented by "******"]. This file should play fine if only i could figure out the unique code.) https://secure.vp.disney.go.com/channel_longform/dmms/i29083/******-tsh_pdmms_002_eprhq_v1080p23_hi29083_wec-h264m_aac_1280x720_2904x96.mp4At the moment, I only see a few choices: 1. Give Up! LOL2. Figure out how to make the "access.mp4" files play.3. Write a program to guess every possible 6-character (letter + number) combination.4. Find another program to "crawl" the webpage in hopes of finding the file names (since jDownloader couldnt). I am open to ideas. Perhaps someone can download the "access.mp4" file above and help me figure out why it wont play.

DarkDream787
I did this not too long ago but I am really sorry, I forget what it is I used in order to rip from Disney's site. I know it can be done though, so keep looking around. I only needed a program or browser add on to do it with, I remember that much. I think it might have been a Mozilla Firefox add on that I used, try taking a look through some of those.

Please-delete-ty
Use Firefox and the free video download add-on. With this, you can download up to 85% of the 'Net's videos without having to download anything (or get the add-on pop-up junk from the downloaders). slick1109
Thanks ianon. I ran across that method a while back and it does work. Although another user here on this site actually created a tool to do it automatically for you. I cant remember their name off hand, but a quick search would probably find it.

IDM kept giving me a warning about protected streams or something and it couldn't grab it and although i did try another workaround and finally got a m3u8 file i tried the whole ffmpeg thing and it too said it couldn't get it or gave me error messages as well. it was weird seeing as how it worked on DawnShadow's end. Arian
I managed to download the Disney video just fine with GetFLV: http://www.mediafire.com/watch/azafofyyfrc9z3n/Ghoul+Friend++Mickey+Mouse+and+Friends++Disney+Video_19_15_24.mp4 EDIT: Okay, I understand now. There's a video resolution issue. But if there's no option to stream the video in 1080p, then logically there would be no way to download it that way either. I wouldn't sweat this though. This series will probably be on iTunes or YouTube before you know it. Edited July 21, 2015 by Arian
DJHulp
Here you go 1080P: http://ppl.ug/O2QKsxfYLJo/
