Koby
I'll be adding lists to this topic which tells you where the various Movies, OVAs, and Specials fit chronologically into the timeline of the series. Gwapogi
Correction about Fairy Tail - OVA 06 - Fairy Tail x Rave. I think It happened after the 7 year time-skip since Natsu already wears long sleeves. And Fairy Tail - OVA 05 happened between the 2 series to be exact. And if someone wants to know, Naruto Road to Ninja cannot be in the timeline because it doesn't fit with the events when he was training in the Island Turtle.. Koby
Well OVA 5 saying 175 is the same as saying between the two... As for OVA 6, when researching I saw several sources and hundreds of people agreeing to it fitting after the Oración Seis arc. If you can find evidence that supports your idea; then share it. As for Natsu's clothes; I really wouldn't say that's a good enough reason tbh. People change clothes all the time and considering the OVA came out after the first series had finished airing... that could have something to do with their choice of clothes. Gwapogi
If you can find evidence that supports your idea; then share it. Klodoa used a Slot Machine robot in OVA 6 just like what he did during the Key of the Starry Sky arc as Jackpot. Oh..and OVA 1-3 is before time-skip while OVA 4-6 (new OP/ED) is after time-skip. Hehehehehe Edited July 13, 2014 by Gwapσgi

Koby
Anyone can tell me the chronological order of Gundam series in Cosmic Era and Macross franchise? So far I've seen Frontier, Zero and Do you remember love. And of course not in order.Gundam Cosmic Era isn't that large. Just two series with recaps and a handful of specials. Koby
Finally went through Gintama and came up with a timeline of where the specials, ovas, and movies likely fit within the series. Gintama Special 01: Jump Festa 2005 Random tidbits from various chapters released prior to series being greenlit. 001-002 Episodes 1 & 2 are anime original to celebrate the adaptation. 003-057 Special 02: Jump Festa 2008 It's basically a special preview of an imaginary Gintama movie. Gintama: Movie 02 - The Final Chapter ~Be Forever Yorozuya~ Special 04: Jump Festa 2014 Aired just before Gintama° (266) premered. 266-295 Special 05: Jump Festa 2015 Aired the day before episode 296. Gintama° OVA: Love Potion Arc Fits after 295 but before 300. 296-316 317+ As usual, if you feel something is wrong, let me know and why you feel that is so; as I'd like to keep it as accurate as possible.

Arise, Pyrophoric Cult, and New Movie all fit in that order as part of the Arise series; which is set as somewhat a prequel to the SAC series as it details how Section 9 came to be. Then you've got Stand Alone Complex, SAC 2nd Gig, and Solid State Society in that order. The Individual Eleven and Laughing Man movies are just recaps of the best arcs in the SAC series. The original 1995 movie and it's sequel GitS 2: Innocence go together in their own sort of 'movie universe'. Definitely worth watching though... Even though Arise is set first in the timeline in several ways... I'd actually recommend you watch the 1995 movie and it's sequel as a starting point to the franchise. Then watch the SAC series, then Arise last. This is the production order, and despite the chronological order, each entity is kind of really it's own thing, and as such Arise really kind of expects you to have knowledge of the series or the characters that you'd likely be missing out on if you tried watching it first.

Akai-Shuichi
Lupin III is similar in a way to something like Scooby Doo where there isn't really an established timeline. The first series starts off with Lupin and Jigen having already known each other and Fukuoka coming into the picture a little later and them later befriending Goemon. But then there also is the TV special Episode Zero which contradicts that because it's an origin story of how everyone met. Every movie with the exception of Legend of the Gold of Babylon (based off pink jacket lupin aka Series 3) and Castle of Cagliostro (lupin wears his green jacket from series 1) is based off the most successful series, series 2. All of the tv specials except for the most recent one (which is part of Series 4) also are based off of series 2 interpretation of lupin. However the Fujiko Mine series (The Woman called Fujiko Mine) does have an established timeline which is that series plus the jigen gravestone film and the very recent goemon movie. So really watch whatever you like whenever you like. Just know this, Goemon is too OP so he has very little screen time a lot of the time as a result. Most of the movies 1-13 don't actually fit anywhere in the timeline that would make sense. You can sorta guess around what time they should fit based on power levels, but they still don't really fit in because often it would just come in the middle of an on-going arc/saga out of the blue and not be consistent at all. While movies 14 & 15 have been retold/expanded upon as the first 26 episodes of Dragon Ball Super. I suppose I could still try my best to place them and make a list at some point though for those curious. As for the original 4 Dragon Ball movies, those are ALL various retellings of the original series story with major or slight differences. So think of them as alternate timelines rather than something to fit within the series timeline.

Movie 9 could "almost" work.
