Koby
Anyone know what this is? I've been told several different types but none of them seem very conclusive when compared to what I've seen and know as well as compared to other pictures on the internet. It certainly does not look like a Copperhead, and it doesn't look like the Cottonmouths I'm accustomed to in our area. This snake showed up in my backyard today. The picture makes the colors look a bit off... The underbody was pretty much yellow; while the rest of the snake was like a faded brownish-gray and looked pretty pale almost as if he was covered in dirt. † L4ugh
Probably a Diamond-Backed Water Snake? I would have to agree with this. The faded colors could have to do with it getting ready to shed it's skin.
Renzo
I agree with the others. Definitely looks like some sort of diamondback.
