SIGNATURE OF THE WEEK #138

Theme: Heroes!

[Heroes is in general. Just the opposite of villains.]

RULES:

• All entries are to be submitted by Friday, March 28th.
  
• Your entry must be related to the chosen theme.
  
• Only one entry per participant. However, you may edit your entry until the deadline.
  
• Signatures must be your own work.
  
• Entries can be in GIF, JPG, JPEG or PNG format, and should be no larger than 600x220 pixels. Animated signatures are allowed.
  
• Pre-made signatures are allowed, as long as they have not been used in a past Kametsu competition.
  
• In addition to your entry, please also submit a theme idea for next week's competition. Please check the SOTW Themes thread to make sure your theme has not already been used.
  
• Please read all Graphical Division Rules and Forum Rules before entering. All rules apply.

• To vote, reply to this thread, listing your top three signatures IN ORDER. First place gets three points, second gets two points, third gets one point; the person with the most points wins.
• Along with your vote, you may say why you picked the signatures you picked, and/or leave constructive criticism for any entry you wish. Do not feel that you have to, but you may if you want.
• Keep in mind the theme and the connection between the theme and the signature. Please do not vote for the render/image, but for the OVERALL signature you think looks best.

that theme has been used already, and is still in the list of can not be used. that is the only reason i didn't pick it for my theme otherwise i would of pick it. you always want to check the list of theme first to make sure you're are not picking something we've already done.

Good work to everyone who entered. Now lets begin.

 

Nagisa - the glowing effect around your render is too visible

malfahad - your text is a touch too small, don't even bother to add it if it is illegible

J-Lord - You might want to reduce the contrast on this just a touch

 

And for the runner ups

 

firedogx10 - I didn't like your render, plus the focus of your sig is fully on the left side around the text and empty space.

dn_angel000 - good sig, but that pink thing at the top left is super distracting from the rest of the sig

Kei Shiro - try to keep your borders more uniform. I know that you adjusted it since Thor is too much in the way, but it just leaves the sig looking off balance

Tsukumo Yuma - excellent sig, very stylized. One thing is that everything else in your sig is rounded, it might help to round off some of the sharp jags on your render.

 

Oh, and just as a heads up. dn_angel000's name is misspelled in the voting post. Just so you know.

It's probably because the "M" is next to the "N" so it's a mistake anyone would make.

Nice entries this week, here are my votes:

 

1. Nagisa - I feel like your signature captures the theme nicley and the colour scheme fits that of a hero and for me goes nicley with the render.

2. firedogx10 - I love the render and the colour scheme backs it up. That and teamed up with some nice txts makes for a awesome signature.

3. malfahad - Nice monotone colour, and well blended, seems a little fuzzy/blurry to me but still a nice signature.

 

To everyone else, great signatures keep up the good work.
