How much is too much?

How much cash would the limit be for you console wise? As in how much money would you spend on a console and what would be the limit you wouldn't go over.

Personally on a console I believe $250 is more then it's worth. More then that and I'd rather be buying a PC.

250 is about average to me. I dont really want to go any higher then that but I think the max I would go is 300.

Surely not much because these things are quite expensive here in Brazil. I'd say my limit is about 500 Reais (about 250 dollars), though I did have to pay around 750 Reais (about 350 dollars) to get my ps2 last year (many years after the console release)... To sum everything, I won't be getting a new generation console any soon, because they cost around 1500 Reais (750 dollars)... ><;

Really Nutz? Woah.. here the PS2 can be bought for $129, and the PS3 for $600.

The Wii I think is about $240, and I believe the XBOX 360 is just a couple dollars higher then the Wii though I don't remember because I dislike the XBOX 360.

Depends for me. If I had a job, $300 maybe. But that is only if I still would ahve alot of money, and I doubt I would buy it at that cost.

Well, it's not my cash going out to consoles, but I rather like the idea of not being driven to the poor house, so we usually wait a while for the price to drop before getting consoles. And usually by the time we get the console, all the weird little "quirks" to the system have been worked out.

But I guess anything more than three hundred is just silly.

$250 is the limit for me. Anything above that is outrageous. I really don't see how a console should be $600. That's way too much money for a game system, especially if it still has bugs in it.

$300 is my limit, anything above and I'll just wait till the prices go down. I wouldn't go any higher than $300 for just one console.

i won't pay more then $300. the reason i have a 360 is because my mom paid for 1/2 of it as part of a christmas present last year

I'd pay up to £350 ($650 I think :s) which is I think a pretty decent bundle deal on the Xbox 360 at some shop near me. But things seem to be more expensive here. Saying that, it doesn't seem like I'm getting one anytime soon so meh.

Try owning a business and putting billions of dollars into the mass production of the systems alone, then paying more money for advertisement, and try selling those same systems for a mere $600. It is rather cheap in my opinion. The most I will pay for a system is $800 - I would say $750, but I decided to round up adding the additional $50-60 dollars that I would spend on a game.

I bought a 360 when it came out. Depending on what I'm getting I could possibly pay more, if I have the money and it's worth the price (not a ps3.) I think most people would pay 800 if they could for say, working vr.

OUCH i payed 328$ for a AMD dual core 2.3 ghz processor with 3 gb of ram and 250 gb HDD at circuit city when it was closing
