Even if they are closed the Chakra would be forced to go through. Also Jounin is just a rank and means nothing. If you remember its stated that several members of the gang actually have the power to be Jounin but they aren't promoted because ability isn't all it takes to be one. You need smarts, the ability to control your emotions, and you need to be able to follow orders and follow the mission you are assigned. Neji other than Shikimaru has been the only one who has showed the ability to be a Jounin but not by his ability but by showing other things.The Gates just remove chakra limiters that the brain imposes. So if you take off a limiter, more chakra can flow. But with Lee's chakra points being hit, he couldnt use said chakra since it cant flow past the turned off chakra points. Let's say the fight would go something like this, without involving any Gurren Lagann "my will is all i need to carry on" shit. (Gurren Lagann is Gurren Lagann. I hate it when people impose its epicness on everything else) -1) If it's a large area like a forest, then Neji automatically wins. Get over it, Lee fans. He has the Byakugan. Lee can't use any ninjutsu or genjutsu. Neji can easily locate him from far off and block all his chakra points before he even figures out what's happening.2) Assuming it's an open arena like the one used in the Chunin exams, the first one to make his attack would be Lee. Despite the years, his recklessness to rush into battle hasn't decreased. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a Tailed Beast like Naruto so his invincibility is rather hampered. Now, for all who don't know this - Neji's Rotation Technique DOES block everything. Naruto couldn't land a single punch on him while he was using it and the only way he was able to beat him was by laying down a Shadow Clone and catching him off guard when he WASN'T using the Rotation. Hell, even the Sound Ninja he was fighting had to look for a blind spot to get around that technique.So, anyways - there are a number of ways for Neji to respond to any situation, he has 3 trump cards after all -A) The Byakugan The 8 TrigramsC) RotationWith the combination of these 3, a small arena would be ideal for him since Lee wouldn't be able to get to much of a distance and figure out his blind spot like the Sound Ninja did. When Lee attacks, he uses Rotation. No amount of Gate Opening at Lee's level will get past it. Guy might, but Lee would require about 10 more years of training.And when after recklessly attacking for enough time, he finally drops his guard, for even a miniscule of a second, Neji would move in with his 8 Trigrams and block all his chakra points, negating any boost from his Gates.Then, it would come down to a normal fight, which Lee himself admits that he can't win.So there. shyguysteve Posted November 23, 2011 Report Share Posted November 23, 2011 @Indy: those are good points, but people have already stated them in earlier posts, it is not enough to justify that neji would win.neji's jutsu are his weakness, as seen in the fight with naruto part 1 chunin exams, if used to much he will simply run out of chakra and out of luck when fighting someone who doesn't use chakra.8 tri grams are capable of shutting down the inner gates that lee is able to open, but that is not enough to paralyze anyone, even naruto could still move around after having his chakra points shut off even before summoning chakra from the nine-tails.Neji is fast, but it is unclear if his leg speed is as fast as lee's without leg weights. How does neji expect to strike even if he can see him but can't keep up?Neji's air palm cuts the use of having to chase lee, but using it may leave neji open for lee to run up to him and strike.Again Neji's rotation if used to much will leave neji out of chakra, and lee takes all bets.Lee is tough and he is capable of fighting even unconscious, neji might have more advantages but easily those can be turned against him, the very jutsu he is revered and praised for could be his downfall.This is all without lee ever having to use the inner gates, and this is just speculation, it isn't enough to simply point out what they can do, so we just vote for the one we cheer for.
