How Did You Get Into Final Fantasy?

Recommended Posts

On PS1 i saw this game at a shop (FF9) i said "hmm 4 CDs.. this should be pretty long, oh well i'll buy it since i don't have anything to play anymore" And when i played it that night, kept on playing it for two days straight. It is my favorite final fantasy. I sometimes wish they would lounch it again in HD graphics and a continued story hehe :still_dreaming:

My first Final Fantasy was 7 but I didn't get a chance to play it too far since a friend borrowed it and never returned it. The next encounter with FF was when I played Kingdom Hearts and then finally Final Fantasy XI online was what really had me falling in love with the series and since then I've played IV, VII, and XIV :D

Saw an advertisement for FFX around 2002-2003 and then finally got it in 2006. I have yet to play a game that I consider as good (although there are plenty of game I deem fantastic).

FFX was what got me into it, I remember watching the commercials for both the first game and the sequel and thinking they looked awesome then I found out about it being the tenth in the series so of course I had to see what the others were like and what can I say I got hooked :P

It all started when I was born...

As a 3 yr old kid, I literally played Final Fantasy One, one of the hardest FF game ever created. I was born for this.

I got into Final Fantasy with the original NES release. I loved that game and poured hours and hours into grinding the hall of giants for gold. (goes back to grinding gold)

I think I became a fan of Final Fantasy because I had to play Final Fantasy X like four times. Every time I got halfway through the game the data on the memory card got erased or I saved over the game. Aside from that the characters and stories are usually awesome.

A few months ago I decided that I wanted to get Hatsune Miku Project Diva 2nd, but to do that I would first need a psp...so I strolled over to JB Hi-fi and got the psp itself. I wanted a game to play until I could order PjD from Japan, so after much staring at their small collection of games I picked Dissidia since it seemed like the least awful one. And then I was like OMG THIS IS AWESOME and went and watched Advent Children...I'm sure you can guess how it went after that.

Mine was when my friend moved and left me a stack of games. :D one of them just happened to be FF7: Dirge of Cerberus and FFX. :) from then I've moved onto most of the older ones and love them just as much

My step-father had a ps one and had ff8 and he would play it and let us watch, but not play. So I decided I would play it while he was out of town, being the rebel that I was, and loved the story. Then as I grew I bought others and fell in love with the series.

I got into Final Fantasy a long time ago. My older brother was really into RPG's when I was younger and he just bought Final Fantasy II(IV). We shared a room so I always watched him play games on the Super Nintendo. I remember being so interested in Final Fantasy IV and I eventually asked him to teach me how to play. I've been in love with the series ever since.
