kwren
toonami was why i started watching anime... i used to watch afternoon toonami with my oldest kid when he was 5 or 6. back when they were running sailor moon and gundam wing and dbz and all the tenchi series, before they premiered big o and outlaw star. i watch adult swim sometimes but it's just not the same... i miss toonami midnight run. UnknownSoldier9
Yeah, I grew up the same way. Yu Yu Hakusho, DBZ, and Inuyasha are the ones I grew up on. lol Those were the days alright. Sad deal that its gone now.
lady_kurai
I watched toonami too and I was sad when it ended, it seems like even adult swim is going that way they don't really ever show anime. The only stuff they normally show at night unless it's a Saturday is American Dad, Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and Metalocalypse. I just wish that they would change it up and start putting actual anime's back on for Adult Swim!
batosi07
Toonami was awsome. I watched it for so long i forgot what was lined up with what, but I grew up with them showing mainly Sailor moon, Thundercats (which im surprsed noones mentioned) DB and DBZ
animenerd99
Awe man Toonami, those were the days, Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, YuYu Hakusho, man! this was back when cartoon network was ACTUALLY worth watching and had good shows

Chronos 117
Same here Toonami is how I started watching anime also because there is no Toonami other channels took animes like Naruto Shippuden which now airs on Disney(WTF!?!)and Dragonball Z Kai which now airs on Nicktoons(not as bad as Disneys version of Shippuden but still pretty bad)
dylansshow
i really wish that toonami was back i watched it so much when i was younger ...good times good times
Redprophet19
Yeah Toonami was good but just before it kicked the bucket it was cruddy. All it showed was Naruto and poorly made American versions made anime. It was a Pitiful excuse for a Toonami that we all knew and loved. So i Give my salutes to Tom and the gang of the old Toonami, may you rest in piece and may no other knockoff be formed from your ashes. Goodbye.....Q_Q
Kobe
You see this is why Cartoon network is losing interest and up to last year people started complaining. On the bright side, there are shows like young justice and Gen.Rex that are somewhat worth watching.
batosi07
lol as soon as I read you're post (Kobe) a gen. Rex action figure commercial came on tv. I was about to ask what that was!
