When I went to New Orleans it looked nothing like that. It looked run-down and kind of ghetto-ish. Though it was 2009 and they were still trying to get over all the damage from the floods and stuff so a lot of stuff was water damaged etc. I went by the Dome and stuff on my way past to get to Venice.

Yeah, the outskirts are still damaged, but nowadays, the main parts of New Orleans are cleaned up and look very nice again.

Very Nice pics everyone ! @ shade I really like the last two,the picture of the city reminds me alot of cleveland lol... but then theres a mountain! I like the castle Dawned... very solemn and @ Jikochuu, La rue Sainte-Catherine looks very interesting, keep'em coming guys, and obviously they don't have to be your own photos...just interesting ! They don't even have to be anything of any importance whatsoever, just places YOU think look interesting ! Oh and heres some Cleveland !

If you're sporting, you could also take the risk to climb La Dune du Pyla (The Great Dune of Pyla) ^^

It is the tallest sand dune in Europe (about 60km from Bordeaux)

According to the Internet >>> "The dune has a volume of about 60,000,000 m³, measuring around 500 m wide from east to west and 3 km in length from north to south"
