Nio zerP
When I reefer to a great story, I mean their are no holes in the plot. Like at any time batman could just pop out of no where and have some or none relevants. Just air tight story, with a decent plot.

UnknownSoldier9
Yu Yu Hakusho is a great story with hardly any if not at all, holes in it. Black Cat also has a great story without too many holes.

renovalentine
This is a tough one there are a couple that spring to mind such as full metal alchemist, code geass and death note but it think I'm going to have to go with berserk which has one of the most gripping and tightest story's i have ever seen. shame it was never their was only one season. LegendaryGirlA
I am putting my vote into code geassLOL The plot of Code Geass has more holes than swiss cheese. For me, I'd have to say FMA/B because they were relatively easy to follow and didn't lose you in a tonne of boring dialogue.
onadaga
definitely code geass. the sheer awesomeness made me shiver.no it didn't have that many holes. not that i could see anyway and i watched it 3 times.
EV15ER8R
Berserk hands down , it gives you a sense of betrayal that is rarely found in anime or hollywood , guts became everything griffith needed him to be a friend and loyal soldier , but in the end it didn't matter he was nothing but fodder for griffiths ambitions and a pawn from the start
alex_maz
there are many aspects in judging an anime's storyyet some of those animes that are really epic aredeath notecode geass darker than blackfullmetal alchemistnarutobleachone piecefairy tailfruits basketouran highschool host clubthose animes differ from each other alotsee what suits you the most although i believe they r all very good animes that will keep you entertained
griver_007
Shakugan No Shana series. I just finished the story. So for now, its the best for me.
Leviathan
Well I really loved the stories of FMAB and Fairytail. They had very less plot holes compared to the usual animes we stumble upon.
saminyt
If u simply want epic story, I suggest Death Note and Code Geass. FMA Brotherhood also has an excellent story. Also, if u can ignore the numerous plot holes and boring fillers, I suggest Naruto Shippuden. After u really get a hang about the entire story(which is massive), u would realize why it's the most popular Anime of the present time. HookX87
I second Death Note, Fairy Tail, DBZ, Ergo Proxy... Too many to mention actually.!
steve72
if you want anime with good plot or with story development then stay out of genres with ecchi or with too much fan service.
franko446
fma / code geass
Confusion
Let's go short and classic. Evangelion with EoE replacing episodes 25,26. Can't think of much fan service there.
