† cloud1414
Warner Bros. Animation (WBA) has begun production on “ThunderCats,” an all-new animated series for Cartoon Network, based upon the iconic 1980s action classic. The 21st century reimagining of the series marks a creative collaboration between WBA and Studio4°C, one of the most vibrant animation studios in Japan, with credits including “The Animatrix,” “Gotham Knights” and “Halo Legends.” WBA is working closely with Studio4°C, utilizing the latter’s expertise to give the “ThunderCats” characters a new cutting-edge look while remaining true to the compelling storylines and mythology of the original series.Toys coming soon by Bandai
Koby
WTH that doesn't even look like the same character honestly.
apr118
LoL a new Thundercat series hahaha Like the ones they did in Speed Racer and etc. I hope they air it soon in TCN I want to see if this has new plot or simply a remake But according to your info, it will be an all new series so, chances are, we may see a brand new plot WTH that doesn't even look like the same character honestly.^ I agree with Koby. They look more, how should I say it, like they've been to a parlor or something. But then again maybe the new ones are some sort of the relative/etc of the older ones. For everyone's info here is what Koby meant:
ragnawind
WTH that doesn't even look like the same character honestly. They have been doing changes like that for all recent remakes of old cartoons. They did it for this, Pound Puppies, My Little Pony, and Strawberry SHortcake, at least. I saw the first episode of the new series of those other shows on the HUB, when it started, and they gave them the same type of treatment. The characters look vastly different than they originally did. It mostly has to do with their new styles of drawing, I believe.
Hōtarō
I'm liking the new character models, to be honest. The only thing I'm concerned with is them getting the voice actors wrong, and screwing around too much with the story. I know they plan on sticking to the original, but that rarely ever works out the way it was intended.
Shafto
I really hope they dont ruin it
Manifesto
It looks better to me than the old ones but anyway I hope it isn't very childish.
lady_kurai
I watched the Thundercat Series on Toonami it should be interesting to see how they're going to do with this one. I'm going to at least try to watch an episode or two when it comes out to see what I think. I hope that they do a good job with it.

idl12
lol of all the series I never expected this to be remade, what next? A remake of Conan the barbarian?(wishful thinking)
Koby
Well honestly, I think their clothes are an improvement. The other character designs look better, but the main character looks really goofy in this remake. His hair shouldn't be pink.
2ManyToons
Really....Goofy...lol. Now i got to go have a sniff around and have a laugh myself.
TommyOliver
Holy crap! I loved Thundercats, hopefully this'll follow in the footsteps of the He-Man reboot and be a solid cartoon!
exo12
What are your thoughts about the new thundercats anime from warner brothers and Japanese anime studio4°c? What do you think about it being on cartoon network? Is it just an American kids show with Japanese animation?
batosi07
Definitely interested, but it better not turn out like loony toons when they reanimated that!
big_teddy
I'm with Koby on this one. If Lion-O is a lion, were's the big hair? Well at least they have Larry Kenney (original voice actor) playing the part of Lion-O.

Like others have said, I really hope they don't mess it up... hopefully they don't dumb it down.

REDBACKDEATH
I've been downloading the old versions of these from where we never got to see the rest of thundercats so sort of happy to see this but, i think it may turn out like the remake of He-man and other rehashs have turned out.
