  1. Personally, i think this will ruin star wars. Unlike a lot of people I loved eps 1-3, but all the stuff after that (mainly the animated stuff) has really sucked and now with a new company that really doesnt care about star wars and just wants to make some money, i think it will suck. The only way, in my opinion, that would keep the movie from sucking, is if they based it off one of the books and got a good director that will follow the book and not screw it up like the director of eragon did.

  2. Don't you think they made her suffer quite abit lol :feel_good:

oh yeah, especially the fall when she was escaping from the oni, and at the beginning when she was escaping from the crazy guy.

Don't you think they made some of the jumps a little to far away to be realistic. I mean some of the time it looked like she was flying lol

  3. its a very interesting show, i've never been much into much tv (except for anime, of course) but a few shows like suits, white collar, and NCIS have always been pretty good.

  4. Its definitly one of my favorite games now. I just finished my second play through yesterday, completing all the challenges as well. I didnt expect much when I got it, i thought it would be a failed attempt to reboot the series. But no it was very good.

  5. Ive already upgraded, I got pro a week before it came out, and i gotta say its really cool. It takes some getting used to the new start menu but it doesnt take very long.

if your american it will cost you 25 dollars to upgrade that in its self should scream warning bells and its compatibly with programs is non existent but that's why I am not upgrading apart from its made for tablets in my opinion

Actually, anything that is compatable with Windows 7, is compatable with windows 8. The only program ive had trouble with is Google Chrome, but Google released a new metro app that takes care of the problems with the desktop application.

EDIT: one other problem (sort of) is that for laptops, windows 8 cuts down on the battery life. My laptop used to last 6 hours on battery with windows 7, now it'll last 2 or 3 hours.

  6. Read this a few days ago, but I can't keep myself from posting this. I really think you should just buy a smartphone, an Android one. Since it will have all the features you want, WiFi, GPS, good touch screen, apps, a decent enough music player, big microSD card support (you could buy a 32GB micro-SD card for about 20 dollars (AUD) off ebay), decent screen size with good resolution, and so on.

That would be great, except that an android smartphone without service costs more money than I have. And I wouldn't get one with service.

  7. If you're fine with used, Craigslist should make it easy to find a used phone or something that meets your requirements. A Droid X can be had for about $70-$80 USD. And then there are also other Android phones and the iPhone or iPod Touch.

If i was getting this for myself then I would probably do that, but since its a present i would rather get something either new.

  8. It seems like, at your price point, you're going to get a quirky player no matter what you choose. If your girlfriend isn't very good with tech, you'll probably want to focus more on usability vice specs, unless she's an audiophile. Does she really need all that stuff? Because it sounds like you want to get her a tablet that happens to play music instead of a media player, haha.

Yeah i know it'll probably be quirky but I don't have much money to spend and I'm mainly looking for something to play music and view pictures on. She loves music but she doesn't have a cell phone, iPod, or even a CD player. All she has is a PC and she shares that with 6 other people. So I wanna get her something she can use to listen to music on when she can't use her PC. All the extra stuff, e.g. wifi capable, that's just stuff that would be great to have on there but I know she won't care all that much about.

  9. Ok so I'm looking for a cheep alternative to an iPod. Can anyone recommend a good one?

    What is required:

    • Listen to music with decent audio quality
    • Watch videos with decent video quality (don't care about file format and codec limits, just as long as it plays video)
    • Browse pictures with decent video quality
    • 8GB or more (ill take 4GB if it can read music, videos, and pictures off a sd card)
    • At least 10 hour battery life for listening to music
    • $75 - $80 or less

What is preferred (but can live without):

    • Touch screen.
    • Decent sized screen
    • Speaker
    • Camera
    • Green (If i can get it green that would be great)
    • Long battery
    • Wifi capable
    • Earbuds included with player
    • FM Radio

    What I'm avoiding:

    • => => => ANYTHING EXPENSIVE <= <= <=
    • Anything complicated (this is a present for my gf and she isn't very good with tech)

These are the ones I'm looking at so far:

My first / second choice (I can't decide which I like better):

    http://www.amazon.com/Archos-28-Internet-Tablet-Black/dp/B00422SGX0/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt

    http://www.amazon.com/Archos-Vision-Player-Built-Transmitter/dp/B003SE6I74/ref=pd_cp_e_3

    My third choice:

    http://www.amazon.co...&n=172630&s=mp3

    My fourth choice:

    http://www.amazon.co...ref=pd_sim_e_34

So what do you guys think about these, and if you know of any better ones give me a link to it and ill check it out.

  11. You have to set up your notifications.

My Settings > Notification Options > Notification method to use for replies to followed topics > Notification List

I don't know if it's set that way by default, but it's easy to fix.

Yeah I did that a little while after posting this, seems like it worked since i got an email about your reply.

  12. Hey everyone, I've got an HP dv6 laptop and their notorious for having webcam issues. I figured out what is wrong, the connector that goes from my webcam to something else (not sure but i think its the motherboard, i haven't taken my laptop apart enough to find out) is loose. It falls out no matter how many times I plug it back in. So I was wondering, does anyone know of a way I could keep it in there? I was thinking like tape but I don't know if that would damage it. I do know that if my webcam got too hot, electrical tape would melt (happened to a friend of mine on another piece of hardware). Does anyone think masking tape would damage it, or maybe thermal tape, or even scotch tape?

    EDIT:

What do you guys think about this: http://www.amazon.co...ds=thermal tape.

Oh and hey if click the "Follow Topic" Button, will it instantly notify me by email when someone responds to this thread? Sorry for the dumb question, I'm not used to this forum setup.
