  1. Your kidding is Persona 3 Portable worth it? YES it is so much deeper and better then P4. Its really Persona 3 on the PSP plus a lot of things. Since you never played Persona 3 play as the male character first then play as the female this way you get the full enjoyment out of the game since many things are different from the male story and female story. Only thing I don't like is I heard that P3P doesn't include The Answer expansion that the PS2 Persona 3 FES had but yes it worth it. I have beat Persona 3 FES so many times for PS2 and I have been playing P3P for the past 50 hours about to beat it, and I plan to play as the female again. Buy it you will not hate the game.

Yeah it doesn't include The Answer - but they didn't oust it completely there IS a little bit added - you get to meet Margaret from P4 for a little extra fun before completion

  2. Hmm one I got hooked on I got from Steam - Reccettear...you run an item shop and hire mercenaries to go dungeon crawling to find things to sell...it's quiet addictive:)

Thats the only PC one i can think of off the top of my head...only other PC games I have are classed as visual novels like Animundi / Yo-Jin-Bo...for a little dose of bishonen

  3. The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Antique Bakery...food is an important part of the story it's not all there is...it also has a bit of Boy Love so if you can't cope with that then it's not for you :)

Are you after something that is all about the food iron chef style or just related like Working that deals with the going-ons in a restaurant?

  4. Well, I have an overactive imagination and am probably the easiest person alive to scare so a normal person probably wouldn't find it scary lol but the first time I saw the Ghost Hunt series the episodes of the 'Bloodstained Labyrinth' arc made me sleep with my katana in easy reach...oh and the 'doll house' arc...though that was probably because I have a thing for Asian horror films and women climbing out of wells is just freaky...

I haven't finished watching Shiki so i can't say how much it freaks me out yet lol

  5. I've seen a lot of ghibli films but the most memorable one would have to be Graveyard of the Fireflies...as others have said it's also probably the most depressing movie i've ever seen but for me it's one of the best movies I've ever seen animated or otherwise.

I think the first one i saw was either Porco Rosso or Princess Mononoke - we had a great independent cinema in town that would frequently have movies like that....Spirit Away is another fave...argh it's too hard to chose just one :)

  6. I tend to buy the manga for those series i really enjoy as well as the anime - both to support the creative minds that feed my habit as well as being able to continue stories of characters/series i like beyond what is/ever will be animated (and some anime deviate significantly from the manga storyline - not always a bad thing - just different)

  7. way way too many to list....i have a full 1tb external drive but some of the things on my laptop which is my 'currently watching or never get tired of just randomly watching an episode of' include..

    Fortune Arteria

    Ghost Hunt

    Reborn

    Kuroshitsuji

    Noein

    Psychic Detective Yakumo

    Tegami Bachi - Letter Bee

    Togainu no Chi

    Umineko no Naku Koro ni

    Uraboku

    Zombie loan

  8. Welcome, hope you enjoy the forums! I'm in the same boat - first anime I bought was on VHS (though i admit I haven't actually had a functioning VHS player for about 5 years!) and first music was on vinyl ....and talking of now ancient devices...my first computer was an Apple IIe :)

  9. I used to do Bak Fu Do (Fung Fu) but dropped that when i started working full time just got too much of a hassle getting to class...I got into Iaido when I started looking at buying a replica Katana (may be influence by a few too many samurai movies and the shinsengumi tv series but hey swords are cool!)....then I thought hey why buy a useless replica when I can get a real one and learn how to use it :)

  10. Totally agree I've seen a lot of live bands and Muse certainly put on the most memorable show and played a great selection of new and older songs....i think it'd be impossible for them to play a live gig and not play Bliss :)

  11. Thought i should finally post and introduce myself a little - since i joined a few days ago and have jumped in posting my random opinions around the place :) Sooo, about me...lets see....aside from being a anime/manga/game fan... I do Iaido (Japanese martial arts with sword/weapons) - I run around in a gi and hakama with a Katana,Jo or Bokken - it's heaps of fun! When i have time i also do Jujutsu :)

Best band ever (and best live show ever) is MUSE :)

  12. depending on how one defines messed up...Urotsukidōji - been ages since i saw it so not sure how it really compares to things these days but at the time it caused a bit of a stir for the violence and sadism and err tentacles doing unnatural things - and here is Australia we got a mild version of the movie apparently...pretty sure its R rated....and I'm still not quite sure what the plot was suppose to be....if there was one....
