Long weekends are great have finally been able to finish a couple of series Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru (Betrayal knows my name) and Umineko no Naku Koro ni (when the seagulls cry)
-
my favourite changes with my mood but ones that never fail to please are
Akira (i think hollywood is still trying to make a live action of this - lets hope they don't destroy it!)
Cowboy beebop movie
Vexille
Advent Children-Complete
Appleseed
Samurai X
-
Pandora Hearts and (surprise surprise) Black Butler....i also picked up some of the Ghost Hunt manga gotta love Boarders offloading books

-
If you don't mind subbed works there are some pretty decent online shops but also some pretty dodgy ones - in my experience some of them just sell fun-subbed work as their own or use the equivalent of google translator for the subtitles so in some cases if you pay $10 for a set you'll just get something pretty crappy quality.
I've bought things from playtechasia (has some pretty awesome deals, but not sure if they sell any English dubbed stuff, i've only bought subbed stuff that hasn't got an English release from them - Persona: Trinity Soul was about $30 for the full series) but most isn't dubbed), animecollector (also has some eng dubbed stuff but i can't vouch for quality of that as i haven't bought anything but japanese audio from them but quality of what i have bought has been fine) but really from Australia, Amazon is your best bet especially with the dollar still good!
Oh yeah i got burnt on region codes with a blue ray series I bought on Amazon...my PS3 doesn't like US movies...i should have paid more attention on my shopping spree lol oh well i have in on the pc so morally I win sinceI have paid for it

-
Played WoW and a bunch of others for far too long...took about a year off online gaming and only started again last week when Rift launched, I played the beta too and i really enjoy it so far, but I'm nowhere near the hardcore gamer I used to be... i need more than 3 hours sleep before going to work all day lol age catches up with you!

Luci Christian - FMP, Corpse Princess etc etc
In addition to some of those already mentioned but maybe not as prolific as Johnny Young Bosch etc I do also like Illich Guardiola (Saiyuki, L'Chevalier D'Eon, Vexille, Appleseed) and David Matranga (Appleseed, L'Chevalier D'Eon, Saiyuki - gotta love his beer swilling gun toting monk!)
-
Hmm that would probably be my Sebastian Michaelis (Kuroshitsuji) and Arawn (Tears to Tiara) Nendoroids

-
hiya and welcome, hope you enjoy the forums!

I agree with the TS on Demon's Souls. I bought it release date and Im still on the first level! I also love Atlus and most of me PS2 games are from them.
For me I'll just type the number instead of listing games I haven't got around to beating.
PS3- 18
Xbox 360- 2
PS2- 63 yeah not a mistake 63!
PS1- 9
PSP- 6
Xbox- 5
Wii- 1
Gamecube- 4
I guess I should stop playing Persona 3 Portable and start working on them!
wow i don't even think I could name that many PS2 games (without googling them!)

Nothing wrong with playing P3P - between it and Hexzy Force I'm not getting much other gaming done

Going by your name, I'm surprised you didn't say Koudelka. Given it's a prequel to Shadow Hearts I may enjoy it but I haven't ever gotten around to playing it. Many I hear from though didn't like the battle system of it, but I hear your weapons break over time and thus you have to keep spares and stuff.
That would be too obvious
I've played all the shadow hearts games as well because they followed on (kinda) from that game - i am pretty fond of dark/horror/gothic-y games/movies etc) I still have a copy of Koudelka it's a bit scratched (i did play it a lot) but LOD got my vote because it was a much longer game and less frustrating but if you skip cut-scenes it works. The combat system would probably drive most people who play games these days crazy, it was a turn-based grid system and pretty slow and yep just when you get you gear uber it breaks and you have to go find new stuff...still a great if somewhat disturbing story. -
World War Z - Max Brooks
Genesis of Shannara series (Armageddons Children, Elves of Cintra & The Gypsy Morph) - Terry Brooks
Nightwatch, Daywatch, Twilight Watch & Last Watch -Sergei Lukyanenko
-
Hmm maybe something like
Ouran High Host club
The Wallflower
FMP Fumoffu is great for a laugh (and you don't really need to know anything about the rest of the series)
umm...gonna have to find my external drive to jog more of my memory...

Sucker Punch!

Well i bought it from Amazon
I'm happy to pay for it since it's one of my favorite shows and I like to support the legit releases...I've bought some stuff that turned out to be some dodgy Malaysian knock off of some fan sub...may be cheap but that wont help get more shows dubbed and into the mainstream market...but i digress...I find the English dub less appealing than the original Japanese (and yes I have made myself actually watch several episodes dubbed and it's just not the same for me)...but it's kinda established by now my opinion on dubs where they try too hard to do fake accents....and Daisuke Ono who does the voice of Sebastian is just too hard to beat

-
Akira is quite old - 1988 i think it was - so if you don't like the older style animation it may not be for you despite its epic awesomeness...i think they are still trying to make a live action version.
I usually watch stuff in Japanese (I freely admit i am a fan of Daisuke Ono and I will watch just about anything he lends his voice too)...but I do like Johnny Young Bosch and Steven Blum so if i see their name against a dub version I'll watch it

-
hiya and welcome to the forums....fraid i know zip about syncing and that kind of stuff

-
How can you ignore an intro like that! Welcome and enjoy the forums!
I still think Akira is a great anime movie...I watched it again the other night and seriously is there ANYTHING dubbed in English that Johnny Young Bosch isn't involved in? Between him and Steven Blum (or whatever alias he is under at the time) i think the whole spectrum of anime is covered by them

-
doesn't 90% of anime stories happen to 'an ordinary high school boy/girl'?

-
I really liked it - it's one of the few psp games I have actually finished lol actually I got my psp because of this game...got some funky custom release psp console with a ff logo on the back ooh and it' shiny silver

Psychic Detective Yakumo
-
I've almost finished watching the series and i really like it - and I don't mind the dub either (unusual for me i know!) ...now to find some HD space for the movies
I'm incredibly impatient when i get hooked on something and must have all of it as soon as possible! -
If i remember there was actually an add on TV for FF VIII showing the graduation ball scene where Squall and Rinoa dance with a few flashes of gameplay and the fight scene from the intro movie...went and bought it the next day

-
