Letter #14 Dear Mary, I deeply regret and apologize for not writing to you sooner, the main topic of our last discussion was too heated for a letter and I should've come to see you in person and discuss that matter. I was too embarrassed and childish and my sincere wish is for you to forgive me and we can continue on this path together. I also realize that I never thanked you for dinner. It was lovely to see Genevieve she gets prettier by the day... and so do you…. Sadly, that was not my main reason for responding at this time. I have found someone quite skilled in the area of expertise that we need. She is a bit crude and rough, but I wish to send her to you for you to teach her the proper ways so she can fit in and be unseen. She is young but she has lots of talent, so Thomas should be arriving with her within the week you receive this letter. Please understand that no matter what happens between us I hold our work to a higher priority than anything else, I have to set my feelings aside. Otherwise those who wish me harm will attack the ones I hold most dear, I know you can protect yourself and Genevieve just fine but I still worry. I know dinner last time was a disaster but I wish to make up for it if in a months time; when you have finished training Angie you still wish to. I would be happy to invite you on a second date. Sincerely yours, the man with the bloody mind; Eric ********************************** My pace quickened as I walked down the cobble road by the secondary market in our small but wonderful town. My pace quickened as I took a left near the bakery. It was just after twilight the stars were starting to shine brightly. The moon was, but just a sliver… my pace quickened faster and I took a right. My hand found the grip of my blade in my right pocket and slowly formed its way around the handle gripping it tightly. I did not take it out but was at the ready at any time. For the shadows behind me were staying and distance and I did not think they would dare attack for they knew who I was and I would show them no mercy. But still, it was funny that they would tail me now that I had completed my mission. I knew one way or another, I would have to have a chat before the nights end. I took another right and looked up and down the alleyway that I just entered. It would be close quarters the fight within an alleyway only 4 foot wide but very doable for me. They might be armed but with their arms restricted and their movements in this fight should make it be too easy. Just leave one of them alive and I should get the information that I need. I took out the blade and wait patiently for them to catch up. I looked back up at the night sky… was quite too beautiful for it to become bloody.
