*Pouts* Well that's disappointing; I was hopping it was something more then that. I'm not really into gag manga or anime for that matter, so wont be watching it. Where did all the good, short OVA series anime go anyway? Seems they all ended 5, 6 years ago....

Yeah that kinda seems like the best bet for doing things.... long live Kametsu and it's long time members ^^

If this was a full series you'd see popularity for it just drop off a cliff after something like 12 episodes with Lee being a main character. Don't get me wrong, I like him, and they could do some bad-ass things with an OVA series with him in it, but the director don't know squat if he turns it into a full series. Though I don't actually know anything about the manga spinoff.

I don't see anyone complaining about the post # increase besides the leechers themselves... 15 posts if people look around and just talk about things they want to talk about in the forums; they can do that in less then an hour. As for inactive people, I would say, sometimes life and whatnot get in the way and might not come on due to crap going on in RL so maybe make it at least a year before deleting their account... maybe two *shrugs*.

Thanks for the lol, very nice chapter... keep this story going please, it's so good.

I would highly recommend Spice and Wolf if you haven't seen it or read it! Also Banner of The Stars... both are very good anime's and very good book series. They are quite different, Spice and Wolf is set back a few hundred years and is about a traveling merchant and Banner of The Stars is science fiction and about space and a war that's going on, but both have very good story-lines though different and romance that is subtle yet very heart warming.

I would be quite sad if no more downloads happened... but I would for sure be around still. This place is too awesome to let die out because of another stupid something the government does .

Fate/stay night & Fate/Zero (Entire franchise) Discussion
Wake replied to † RazorDan's topic in Completed Anime
You are correct this happened 10 years before the story of Fate/stay Night. @banichi I really don't think you know good pacing when you see it. So far I have absolutely nothing to complain about. I mean there are always little nitpicks on a show, but even that is a very short list for me. If they didn't do what they did in the first episode no one would be able to make sense of anything at all. This show has a lot of fighting in it and some great fighting at that, but that's not what this show is about, it's about the story lines of the characters and how everything is intertwined in some way you wouldn't expect. That's what makes this show great. And do remember this is based off a RPG storyline game not a strict fighting game. Though it came out in novel form it was written to be a game, like Fate/stay Night. -
I feel like we've had that thread before, but that could just be me.... Anywho, I like anime and sometimes quite a bit, but overall if you asked me out of all the anime and manga I've seen and read which gave me the most impact and emotional experience I would say manga. That being said a few anime have been at that level for me but not as many as manga has. That's what I base on; how good a story is, so I guess it all depends on how you base how good the story your watching is.

Some people have good peripheral vision and some people just don't so it's hard to watch subs even if they can read fast. Let alone the whole do you prefer dubs over subs and whatnot. I don't prefer either, I prefer both. I like a choice. That being said I normally watch 8 out of 10 anime in subs just because I don't like waiting for dubs to come out just to watch something. But will download the dual-audio version of the show when it comes out and maybe re-watch it in dub if it's good. Some shows I will actually wait for the dub because the Japanese annoys the snot out of me for that show, but that doesn't happen too often.

Forgot to say, but amazing story and yet another wonderful chapter; keep up the great work!

Um, I think you posted the same chapter twice by mistake....

lol, I really liked episode 6, I was worried the whole "pen" thing was going to be a thing, but that resolved it's self, though not in the most fluid way possible. Still though it's had at least a few really good parts in each episode and the cliché's haven't been too bad, but I did started to notice some a bit more in this episode.

I don't think you can really compare season 1 and season 2 as a whole. They're completely different styles of story telling for one. I think the only way to really say it is if you want to compare a certain aspect of season 1 versus season 2. Character development or storyline or do you prefer the way the story telling was done in season 1 versus season 2 (which I think most people do and that's why they don't like season 2). I personally like season 2 nearly as much as season 1, but prefer how the anime did it's storytelling in season 1 with many small plots within the large plot that changed every few episodes which led to the main plot. I thought the first few episodes seemed a little weak in season 2 but after that the quality overall of the plot and characters along with everything else was at least on par with season 1 if not a little better (mainly due to development from season 1).

We actually talked about this video (one from the same panel anyway) and this is what I said. And this is just a bit of added info to it... I can never be happy Dan Not bout this topic till there is actual news anyway. I think since this topic is starting to go in a circle again, because no one is reading earlier posts, I'll wait for some news before I pop back in here. Cya HOTD Fans:byebye:

They did that just leave it open of a season 2 with the OVA. The rights have been sold from the manga author to the anime company, but there's an undisclosed agreement that came with that. So no one knows if that means they have to wait to make a season 2 to follow the manga or not. Also the manga is yet again on hiatus and who knows how long it'll last this time.

I haven't played any game in this series or watched the other anime adoption (now I want to go and watch it^^), but after seeing the first few episodes I really like this anime. At times it's pretty dark, but finds it's way back to subtle light humor without forcing it's self. The actual plot is decent but the storyline has been really good, with the diverse characters making it loads of fun for me. I was worried I was going to hate this anime after watching the trailer for it a few months back but decided to give it a go anyway and after the first episode I was hooked.

Please stop spreading the false rumors... if it don't have a source it ain't true, and something this preposterous I wouldn't believe even with a source lol. I'll say it again... there have been no updates since the OVA came out, please check sources before spreading rumors. *sigh*

Something which has lots of sword fights.
Wake replied to Diablo's topic in Recommendations & Reviews
One that you might want to look into that is a nice little movie is... Sword of the Stranger Genres: Action, Historical, Samurai Duration: 1 hr. 43 min. Rating: R - 17+ (violence & profanity) The story is set in the Sengoku period. A rounin called Nanashi (meaning 'nameless') saves a young boy Kotarou at an abandoned temple. Kotarou has no family, is pursued by a mysterious militia organization from China and hires Nanashi as his bodyguard. Amongst the men who pursue Kotarou is a man called Rarou, a skilled warrior with blond hair and blue eyes. He obeys an old man called Byakuran and is a member of the Chinese militia. Unlike his companions in the militia, he isn't serving any Emperor and just wants to fight with the strong. Also one that doesn't have a bunch of sword fight, but some and has a pretty good storyline throughout... Seirei no Moribito Genres: Adventure, Fantasy Rating: PG-13 - Teens 13 or older At a time when the balance of nature still held the civilizations of mankind in thrall, a single drought could spell the end of a society and doom its inhabitants to piteous deaths. Prince Chagum has been imbued with the power to stave off the drought and bring new life to his empire. However, this is a suspicious time, and he is accused of possession by an evil spirit. Court advisors only see one solution. Chagum must be put to death by his own father's hand. His salvation is in the form of Balsa, a spear woman and mercenary from Kanbal, the kingdom across the mountains. Her skills are legendary, and although reluctant, she is held by a mysterious vow to save eight souls before she dies. Can she fend off an entire empire and make Chagum her eighth soul? -
No worries The anime came out in in 2005 at the time it was left as "it's open for a new season" kind of project when the first season ended, but since then it's been made pretty clear that there wont be a second season to finish off the adoption of the manga, but nothing officially was announced so that left people some hope, though it's been 6 years since then. That's why I had said it's probably better to just pick up the manga, and I personally think the manga is even better... more depth to the characters then in the anime.

I'm not 100% sure of what your asking... if you asking about the first season of the anime; yes it came out in English, and/or if your asking about the manga; yes the whole thing has come out in English as well. If your talking about something else, please elaborate.
-
You do realize this was based off and following a manga right? This is basically the first half of the manga, so a season 2 for the same length would fit to go to the ending perfectly, but it's been more then a few years since the first season came out, I would so just read the second half. As someone who really liked the anime and then read the manga because of it... the anime is really good imo, but the manga is that much better.

There's just no news, that's why there has been no posting going on. All the stupid rumors finally died down and now people are just patiently (hopefully) waiting for an official update.

I think the show is pretty awesome. Its not so bad with copying Code Geass as people are making it out to be I think (at least I don't see it...) I mean I see hints of it if I'm looking for that, but I tend not to think about it while watching the show anyway so I don't see why people are so hung up on it whether it is or not copying parts of another... if its good its good, if it's not it's not. The thing I actually like most is the music, that's freaking fantastic. The only thing that I think if they were going to copy something that would make the show better at this point is copy the personality of L (from Death Note) and make him the main character. That would be a really interesting watch.

So far this has been bad-ass far more then the other seasons where they kind of lead into fighting, this season has dived right into the chaos, but has held intact a fluid storyline. I am quite impressed; and so far it still seems like this is the lead put to something much bigger by the end of the season. Very much looking forward to each episode.
