  1. I shall give a picture! And thou shall taketh and create beauties! Though in terms of style or text, Dunno; I was just looking for something new to put on my timeline on facebook :3 I figured you guys can dissect this for something cool.

    12259_10151113048396767_317370073_n.jpg

I also have this picture on facebook and I am not sure if it is the full picture (seems it's cut off) but if you would like the entire picture to work with, please do ask away :3 I think this picture is highly unique by itself already.

  2. Huh, I wonder how the hotkey system would work. I'm sure they would probably remove the 1-9 aspect and just use the bumpers/top shoulders buttons to cycle through the items. Interesting. I would much rather, however, slap a wireless keyboard down on my lap and lay out my futon and play on my xbox than hunch over my laptop. I mean it was a great game, until I started to use T-Edit to mod my map and then I went on to cheat and overpower/super modify my character data. Haha.

Great game, I'm glad its jumping platforms now.

  3. Lol @ Ending. I already predicted it and it has to do with what happens in a certain chapter. It was kind of the direction they had going since they had hinted at it all game, not to mention in the trailers. I can further elaborate or just note one single piece of information for others to research and put two and two together to understand my guess @ the next two halo entries in The Reclaimer Saga.

Though I thought it was weird, the entire setting of the game felt... short? Did it not? I mean in previous you games, you spent your time on a Halo Ring, or Earth, or Reach; and you went up and down inbetween through various logical environments.

Between the two primary settings in Halo 4, I felt the game was a bit short. Like the whole thing while aboard the Ship? Was it necessary for a HUGE part of the ship to seem like a icy tundra field? Dafuq was the point in that? You move from a generic military style coridor inside a ship, to a icy-tundra like room, and then back into the coridors. OH, lets not forget there are edges in this "tundra" that you can fall off and die. WTF? You're telling me that a Spaceship has a giant room, that houses a tundra, and lacks a bottom to? That you can just slip off the edge and fall straight into outer space? Alrighty then @ SOME Hope of Logic.

Anywho. I felt like the game was short, the ending felt rushed for this first entry in the saga.

  4. I'm gonna have to look into the Steam Sales; think they're going to be better or a smidge worse than the Christmas Sales? I missed out on a bit during the summer sales...

In terms of stores in general; I would honestly say you're going to have to be a master scavenger. If you don't mind driving around town, what I did (and is usually what I do) is pick up on black friday ads as soon as possible and start highlighting things. For example, I wanted Forza 4 last year, I snagged it for $25 with a $10 Gift Card Bonus for purchasing it at Target last year while other stores had Forza 4 for like $40+Tax. I would definitely look into smaller stores around your area as well. Large Chain Stores likes Best Buy/Walmart/Meijers/hhgregg/K-Mart/Sears/Target are bound to have deals, but lesser popular chain stores will be having deals as well.

Which brings up in my mind, check your local Toy Stores that have electronics. Toys R Us might have buy one "get one/half off" deals that might trump other purchases. If I remember correctly, that's how I got Gears of War 3 & Skyrim last year.

    -------------

As for Walmart compared to Best Buy, I'm pretty sure Best Buy had it, but one of those two has Dead Island GOTY for $8. That's a hell of a steal for anyone who has never played it (Granted the game is pretty crappy when you're playing it by yourself imho, it's like a RPG version of L4D, and if you've played L4D, there's no fun in that game unless you're playing it with others.)

  5. I'd say when I was younger, I used to like music for the sound; to this day, I still do. However, I still look more into the lyrics than I did then. You know, when you're a little kid - you'll sing lyrics to a song and not even actually know what the song is really about? I grew out of that after awhile, I actually built an interest in the music I listened to. I'll admit the sound is what defines the song; and any artists can spit out rhymes or lyrics and say its music, but it takes skill to dish out a mixture of the two to create something that so many people can like.

Like right now, I'm listening to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=tvYCryfWGu8 A Remix of Chrono Trigger's Corridors of Time, doesn't need lyrics at all; I might be interested in a version that had lyrics but beautiful music like this is fine just as it is.

Then there are some songs that I appreciate punk versions more of than their originals. In my Head by Mayday Parade for example, I like the original, but the cover is beastly imo for my personal tastes.

  6. That was really the whole point of the anime series imho. L was raised, literally as we can see in the OPs, onto a platform of equal height to Light. After they put him off they sort of had to rush an end with the remainder of the Wammy House. Like, Matt for example. He had what, not even 10 minutes of screen time yet he was able to pull a crowd of fangirls? Haha.

  7. Man... The last post to this thread was in August? A whole month and some change of un'noted birthdays...

I'd like to note that my 19th birthday passed this past Thursday. Meaning I'm getting close to being a member for 2+ years :3

  8. What's DOA5 Like? I hear they changed up some of the movesets in the game... which is kind of disappointing since I always sucked at fighting games. If anything, the movesets are even harder now I would bet. I also heard it went more from "anime-y" to "realism" in terms of graphics though I guess that is reasonable for being the latest addition to consoles in like, five years since DOA4 arrived as a launch title for X360.

  9. Valkyrie Profile (GAME) -> ANIME [Norse Mythology, and Sexy Valkyries, why wouldn't it be an anime]

Metal Gear Solid (GAME) -> ANIME [The Plot, the characters, hell yes, make this an anime now]

Suikoden (GAME) -> ANIME [The storyline is good, 108+ characters might be over kill to successfully pull this off, but hell i've seen worse]

Parasite Eve (GAME) -> ANIME [Aya Brea, enough said]

I left out others because i could be at this all day :(

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude. Suikoden = AMAZING Idea for an anime. Might be one incredibly LONG MOFO'KING SERIES, but good lord. I would watch that religiously.
  10. I'm sick of people telling me this or that, do this and you'll do well in life. You should become a pharmaceutical technician. If you don't meet this deadline you're fucked or shit out of luck. I am 3 days from turning nineteen. I am almost a full year beyond eighteen. I am a legal adult; I can do as I please. I no longer have to be spoonfed or have my hand held like I’m some kid. I suffered through my pre-teen years waiting to be an adult. It’s hard enough being a child who was more mature beyond his actual age, but to be limited from the adult world by being underaged. I work part time at a pizzeria and I have to take shit from everyone. “Why don’t you get a better job? I would love a better job, in terms of the work expected and compared to the pay. There’s nothing as “stress free” because somewhere in the job requirement, you will become stressed in order to make ends meet. I am in college, I have a tuition that costs $5,500 a year; which is paid through my FAFSA, and I borrowed another $5,500 in loans just to live comfortably through the next few years, Idgaf if I have to pay it back later. I’m tired of people always ranting on and on about “future” this, “future” that. Good for fucking you. I’m not you, you’re not me, stop shoving your ideas down my throat, and this isn’t a religion.

The latest thing from work is I have to now go bitch to my manager about how my friend, who utilized me as a reference to even get a job at my pizzeria, needs to be fired or be told he can’t leave until the end of his scheduled shift. As cold as it seems, I don’t give a shit if you have a stomach bug, your grandfather is diagnosed with cancer, or that you’re just not feeling “well”. I have my own issues that I need to worry about as well. My brother has a failing immune system, my mom and sister - both have cancer of some variant. I don’t have a father, I live in a simple home, and we’re scraping by to make ends meet. This is two fucking Sundays and a Friday Night that you have gotten out of working. Well, fuck you. I go into work with a bad knee, sprained wrist, and major migraines on occasion; I close the full 7-8 hour shift that I’m always scheduled, and go home and sleep like everyone else, I don’t bitch about it like a whiny girl. You? You can’t even go five minutes without crying about how your little “tummy” is upset. Well fuck you.

I hope he seriously does get fired, so I can laugh at him and tell him “I told you.” As well as “Now you cry wolf, when no one will help you.” The whole story behind him is he would promise to work for others on their important days such as college visits, dances, doctor appointments, night time classes, holiday shifts that were meant to be spent with family; he promises to cover their shift, takes their money, then gets aggressively forces someone else to work what he promised to do without compensating them. July 4th, he took $20 from another friend of mine to work his closing shift; left as soon as he got their saying he “felt” sick. Kept the fucking $20. How much of a fucking anal bastard do you need to be to keep the $20 and not even apologize or return it? He’s no longer a friend of mine and my coworkers are slowly growing to hate his sorry ass. I regret letting him use me as a reference, he brought his stupid personality into my work place and it’s slowly driving me to want to quit.

I’m also a lonely soul. The only girl I’ve been talking to lives in Utah, while I live in a suburban city in Ohio. I wish I could go out and meet her but until I have the money and time, I can’t. Even though I haven’t physically met her, we talk to each other like we’re the only ones out there who have time to listen to one another. I’m still a little naïve and crazy, but I’m no longer bound by my childish chains. I'll get to meet her one day.

OMFG. Today was the worst day I've ever had since being a driver as of last February. I passed a Stop Sign intersection going down hill, and a stupid driver decides to hit his breaks at the bottom of the hill, BOTTOM, not after passing the first hump at the top of the hill, or after going back up the hill after reaching the bottom, but hits their breaks at the BOTTOM. WHO. THE. FUCK. Breaks at the bottom of a hill when your car needs all the momentum and gas it can get to go back up a hill? So me being me, following behind the normal 20-30 feet as called for when it rains, I ease into my breaks coming down so I wouldn't go head-on collision into their rear, I already knew it was too late.

I hydroplaned to the right and hit a rail guard. I'm fine, and the majority of my car is fine. Cracked my Passenger Headlight, pushed my Front Fender in 2cm , scuffed the clear coat straight off of it and a straight mark across my bumper and rear passenger fender.

OH, lets not forget how dangerous it was to have been driving on my tire to and from classes today. Unknowningly after the incident, I drove to school, stopped at a gas station after driving 20+ miles on the freeway, realizing something was wrong with my car as the steering wheel vibrated a bit more noticably. I had a pretty sturdy tree branch jammed inside my wheel, behind it and underneath my suspension. Little did I know, I also had a fairly large rock lodged within my caliper. I went to school, parked my car and came back to it to come home. I drove the same 20+ miles back home and took the safer route through more traffic to get home. Examined my tire, I had rocks and debris lodged within my tire lip, meaning my tire was not safely on the wheel; and upon further examination, found the rock lodged within my caliper. If I had sped up past 60mph on the freeway, it would be safe to say I would not be here right now as slowing down would've been much more dangerous.

I got lucky that I did not need to replace my tire or wheel, easily $400, the two by themselves (I have special tires and ordering one brand new tire with full tread would not have been ideal for the delicate balance of my car, for common sense you replace the tire + the opposite corner of it). Needless to say, most of my damage is primarily now residing only within the aesthetics and the headlight... I'm so fucking pissed. I just easily lost $120 of my Student Loans (which I am using to repair my car immediately) because of poor drivers. WHO STOPS AT THE BOTTOM OF A HILL ON A RAINY DAY, SERIOUSLY. ESPECIALLY ON A ROAD TRAVELED BY MANY DAILY... So much for a birthday, I've lost all motivation to do anything special tomorrow when I turn 19.

  11. Derp. I don't see how o_o PSO2 was just released like, the past two months... fresh out of Open Beta testing and onto the F2P Market in Japan. Now if you're talking about possibly the older PSO MMO Titles like Blue Burst or Universe, or even tracing back to older titles that were on the Gamecube or Dreamcast, I'd understand.

@Koby, The Team System from Blue Burst is in this so you can group up together with people and create "Guilds/Clans", or if you're a loner you can trade Ark Cards and just have the A.I. control your friends while you solo-quest. I'm not sure if Universe did it, but you can start a quest and be put in an area where multi-party's can congregate and clear monsters together before being separated off into their own versions of map 2+ and beyond.

There are also player shops but I'm not sure how it works. I believe you have to buy access to be enabled to set up your own shop, includes decorating your own room (which I haven't figured out yet). Though since it's F2P, I think for it to be closely enjoyable to anything like PSOBB or PSU, you'd have to shell out some money at first to get access to all the normal abilities you would find in a regular subscription based PSO game.

  12. So, Kind of curious if any of my fellow Kametsu Regulars are playing PSO2? It's going under the F2P/Cash Shop formula that most MMOs have adopted. So far it's not too bad and I like it better than PSOBB. Or at least from what I can remember of BB; haven't played Universe online so I can't exactly say how it compares to its most previous title. The English version of PSO2 is set to come out later this year but I didn't feel like waiting, rather play it now and enjoy it while I have the chance; besides a few of my games are already getting stale and I don't have my financial aid to buy a kinect to finish skyrim just yet.

I just started yesterday, about a few hours prior to the regular six hour long scheduled weekly maintanence. Hit level 7 trying to hunt down 10 Fangs to turn in to get my Mag D: Now patiently feeding it Staffs to Evolve it, haha.

If anyone is interested in playing, I'm under the handle "Kasoivc" ; no quotes, on Ship 10 - A Force User with a Jester-like appearance. Probably dancing in front of the Quest Counter Attendant if I'm not in a room questing.

Note 1: The unofficial english patch that a group has put together does not entirely translate the game from japanese to english, but changes the HUD and basic menus over to english. Quests Dialogue/Scenes/Etc are all still in japanese.

Note 2: Use the two websites I have listed to get your feet wet, pso-world might be down or something but I just wanted to mention it incase I can ever access it again, their forums had good information but I wasn't in a position to use any of that knowledge the other day.

  13. That's the thing though, more and more people are becoming more digitally entranced by the media. And of course, like any good journalistic company, they need to generate revenues to pay for their journalists to actually be able to go out and do these interviews with developers, review games, take notes. They do all of that already and will continue to need revenues in order to cover those costs, but another cost in the equation is that printing of paper magazine.

Since alot of people don't order paper magazines anymore, they feel the need to eliminate it altogether.

My solution would just be to make it an option to recieve a digital or physical format of the material. Realistically. Would you rather pay $8 for a yearly subscription for a digital .pdf of the magazine or pay $20 for a yearly subscription that provides a physical copy? A lot of people would be hesitant to that paper subscription, while a digital subscription is much more feasible.

@Zaczac; the reason they were probably sitting on that shelf untouched for a year is because places like Walmart are outdated imho for magazines. Does anyone actually go to those sections searching for magazines to subscribe to? Not that I know of. Many of Game Informer's subscribers are a result of being introduced to it in some gaming environment. Gamestop and Bestbuy/Futureshop Employees are trained to ask their customers if they're interested in subscribing, and that's where you primarily get your base customer. You don't go to a general store like Walmart and expect customers to think "I want the newest magazine for game informer or nintendo power"; you get people who go "I need some milk and bread, maybe a new razor and some shampoo for the wife."

Edit: Also arguably, do you ever see a gaming magazine at the checkout lane? No, its all material about the latest hollywood gossip. Complete trash imho.

  14. I played the free demo version on xbox; which is probably no doubt a port of it's PC counterpart. I would say no. To me, all it is - is a dated game, re-polished, re-labeled, and re-packaged. Don't get me wrong, Counter-Strike holds a place in my heart forever. There are still people out there that are playing CS 1.6, whom have never bought CS;Source. And then you have those who have never played 1.6, but went on to buy Source. Both are great games, but if you already have either of its predecessors, why buy CS:GO? It's practically the same thing with a different HUD when you're in game, or everything looks more "shiny."

On the PC, arguably I would say you're wasting your money because even on Source, custom skins and maps already take the cake when it comes to that extra polish. Aztec, Train, Italy, Office, Dust 1 & 2? A couple of the basic maps that came with the original 1.6 and Source, are already polished. I noticed in a few of the maps, the layout of the maps were altered, that was it. Same guns, regular default skins that looked even more realistic.

So if you already have Counter-Strike from one point in the past; there's really no need to buy it again imho. I'm not knocking it down or anything and preventing sales, but I play Source. I've played 1.6. You don't need to buy GO if you already have either of the old ones.

  15. That's kind of disappointing. I didn't think they were still around, all this time I've been on Game Informer thinking it was one of the few gaming magazines still around. I remember as a kid having the old Nintendo Power Magazines that were like, back to NES. You know, when gaming magazines actually had a tips/tricks/cheat codes section in the back of the magazine? That's highly disappointing. Their magazines were one of a kind imho, the coverarts were always nice. Even now, I was told awhile ago when I went to renew my yearly subscription for G.I. that it was moving to a digital format the following year.

Like. What the hell? Now what am I going to read while I'm on the toilet; unlike others, I dare not take my digital devices into the bathroom for fear of it getting wet, or worse - SOMEHOW - dropping it in the toilet. Not myself alone, but I'm sure there are plenty of other individuals that would read gaming magazines while taking a dump. Hell, I know friends' fathers that still read newspapers while on the can.

Paper format is slowly dying but it is something that should stay consistent, in my mind at least, regardless of whether or not moving on with the future is the most lucrative and eco-friendly way for a company.

  16. I think I'll rant about my interpersonal relationships. Sigh. I'm one of those few individuals who bottles his emotions for the greater good, the guy that takes one for the team, the one people can count on to keep a cool head in a sticky situation, pulling through when the team needs to win. However when it comes to women, I'm a complete sucker.

Especially for any poor girl that I start growing attracted to, and it doesn't have to be physically at all. Lately I've just been talking to several girls, women that I've never met before yet have held online conversations with for longer than 24-hours. All I need is a conversation that goes on for several days as we discuss broad subjects like our lives and our pasts and I feel like pieces are falling together. I'm not crying over being "friend-zoned" as people would put it, but I always wonder what goes through their minds. I'm not going after that "love" & "boyfriend/girlfriend" feeling, but the feeling of having a close friend, a very close friend that people will always try to count on.

Lately since graduating, my friends have all gone and split up. Moving out of state to attend college, joining the military, or simply put school off to go on a long vacation to explore the world. I'm literally left all alone in the city of our origin... as a person whose monophobia can get the best of him, I sometimes get lonely enough to become desperate, and whenever I feel like that, I try relentlessly to fight back those fears and humiliating pleas... I strive for companionship but to lower myself to such a level is a disgrace to myself. It's a constant struggle between my fear of being alone and my own pride.

I just want a normal peaceful life, not much from the ordinary, but no.

/Sigh, I feel better being able to rant that.

  17. UPDATE: The story takes place in Europe in the year a.t.b. 2017. A Knightmare unit made of boys and girls from Area Eleven are thrown into a military operation with a 5% chance of survival. They must rescue an allied unit left behind on the European warfront.

The story is set after R1, but before R2 and shows the EU.

    Release date: 04.08.2012 - Episode 1 - OVA

    11.2012 - Episode 2 - OVA

    02.2013 - Episode 3 - OVA

    05.2013 - Episode 4 - OVA

Spread out or what? According to reviews of the 1st episode, It's more mecha than the TV series. After watching trailers, I'm pretty excited lol

Sounds worthy of my time. I may have to look into this... I just finished watching R2 earlier today and it kind of left me bitter, craving more. Certainly they could do much more than explore Lelouch experience. C.C. Is obviously a character they could've gave even more depth to, and hell, a lot of the support characters in R2 were kind of poorly put together in my opinion. R2 seemed a bit rushed, and if desired, could have been stretched at least five more episodes to go into detail of some of the more prominent antagaonists when the curtain falls.

  18. Shrugs, I can't tell much since I'm a simple man myself. Though experimenting with variety packs are interesting imho, gives you something "exotic" to work with. By exotic I guess I mean the "surprise" factor. It was interesting using condoms with icy/hot lubricant on them as that was a little interesting seeing her reaction (from my perspective). It just adds spice imho. If you need that extra zest then that's where varietys and different condoms are for.

  19. There's a fetish for everything. If there's one thing the Internet has taught me, nothing is sacred. I wouldn't be surprised if there were any sites dedicated to people having sex with dinner plates or vegetable peelers.

*Shudders* Isn't there a Internet Rule book that states if something exists, there is an opposite gender of it, and if an opposite gender of it exists, there is most defintely some kind of porn involving it out there?
