  1. Yesh! Does anyone think Iki will ever look at this thread? ><
  2. ^LOL. Nuh it isn't. Naw way, this DEFINITELY has to be Iki next in the lineup. Haha
  3. L... Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro!
  4. True to that... I've experienced both of those and seen both scenarios play out time and time again. Regardless of such it honestly boils down to the individual and what they feel is necessary for themselves. I honestly believe in it simply because no one can really make you do or not do things, ultimately people are responsible for themselves and their actions in my opinion. Lol, that is also a very good point to raise. I believe cultural differences may be a factor in this as well, not to mention L4ugh's note about religion. There's just so many influencing factors in all of this that it's a little bit more than a simple algebraic formula.
  5. So... much... truth... In the way I interpreted L4ugh's post, I took it as "Here on Earth, We have always been stupid - Crazy enough to try stupid things like pet the lion." But like how both of you have mentioned that with technology we can capture and preserve it for centuries. The sudden increase in these occurring incidents is simply just the fact that we can support these stories now. I'm willing to bet people were stupid enough to jump out of planes without parachutes or swim in shark infested waters; why don't these stories occur often? - Because we didn't have that many witnesses to prove that these very idiotic people followed through with their stupid shenanigans. Like L4ugh noted, back in the day - things like that were rumors and local legends. Today, with solid proof - we can easily believe the things we hear. In my opinion this isn't a lack of understanding technology or anything, it's just really poor judgment - and foolishly making assumptions.
  6. Lol. I finished Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid because of Netflix ; though I should've watched the first series before watching the Second Raid <<. I also watched Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles =D
  7. Lawl. Hot Tub Time Machine (Uncensored) - Truly Epic, and John Cusack was in it I also watched the second episode of Being Human (The Remake)
  8. That's true too... but I don't think it can be helped considering he's like the only real reason the Live Action Film could ever see light; but even in that case I think I would cast my ballot for this film to not be made. I kind of doubt that... Unless they try to make spin offs or something; I mean the creator specifically noted that Spike isn't exactly written off as Dead... or Alive.
  9. Gyak. Finished the Campaign on the PS3? Man... I haven't even finished it on my Ipod Touch Yet =[ (I got it for a $1 so I won't complain =) It's a pretty good time killer for me
  10. I'm pixel illiterate so I have no idea what 500x500 looks like. I'm also going to assume that because I re-added my gamercard as a request to my sig, that it just bumped me over the limit. I'm not really a stickler for being under the limit by like, one pixel - but to me it just looks "off" if people get what I'm saying. (Also Koby, if you have to edit it, please remove my Gamertag; that is my preference. qq) Edit: Blegh, If I did it right, apparently my signature's x-axis is under by 50 some pixels, and about 150 for y-axis.
  11. Qft, Spike's fighting style in the anime always seemed so - chill/relaxed and reserved (And it's based on Bruce Lee's... random style?) Anyways; with technology these days, movie producers can manipulate the camera and video to show us what we want to see, or they can completely botch it and destroy what we all know, love, and cherish.
  12. My mother is sort of the same way, and all I ended up so far is smoking here and there (To be honest, I'm still on my first pack - its been a three or four months now, and Yes I'm aware through statistics that it is more dangerous than Marijuana but if I'm going to be wrong, I might as well be legal about it); I went out to get my ear pierced against my mother's wishes too; But I honestly agree with your statement that its up to the kid themselves. However much peer pressure is put on me, I won't be out drinking and getting wasted every weekend. It's quite comical too considering on how close to the inside of the school I am, I'm being invited to all these parties and whatnot without Adult Supervision and I keep turning them down because I have more important issues to take care of. The lack of adult assistance may be one part of it, but the flip side is the child's ability to think for themselves. Isn't that what life's first phase is? To learn how to think for oneself? Edit: I don't know if anyone else feels this way either, but I may be 17; but I feel much older than I'm supposed to be. Then again I will be 18 soon so maybe this is the transitioning from the child to adult phase, I'm supposed to have more responsibilities but I'm not quite there yet. But still "You're wiser beyond your years" is the quote I'm looking for.
  13. I can't honestly really say one is better than the others, kind of like a typical PS3 vs X360 arguement; I own both yet I appreciate both for what they are. Although I tip my hat towards Black Ops because that's about the only game my friends have nowadays since they trade in their games to buy new games (Something I would never do, ever; unless the game was horrendous.) I think Firefight is almost equivalent to Zombies and Forge/Custom Private Matches are almost the same as well. Now as to content and what you can do, that may be different because in Reach you can probably create your "own" gametype per say using an outline from a regular game like Team Slayers, but theoretically you can do that for Black Ops as well. I believe Reach is more a "for fun" game while Black Ops is just a pick me up run'n'gun. Both are excellent games for almost anyone, laid back or serious. Either way, I don't have money to buy map packs.
  14. Yeah Chaos, I wasn't really expecting the game to be scary; especially since most of us have probably (I would assume) played the first Dead Space or maybe spin off titles/sequals and seen the "scary" concept already. The difficulty however, much harder than the original; I can honestly say I died a few times from necromorph executions on my normal run just because I had been running around with minimal health.
  15. I'm an alright player, but since Black Ops came out I haven't really played it much. I used to play it every day since release doing the weekly and daily challenges and I stopped the a day before Bungie/Microsoft unlocked the remaining ranks in Halo. I believe I had just attained the rank of Lieutenant as I stopped. No Mappack either =/
  16. That seems to be very irrational to assume that FFVII would automatically be the next project for remake, just because it is the next in the series. V & VI are completely different from VII, especially the fact that they were both 2-D as compared to 3-D material. In those remakes, they usually do a little more than a graphical update - such as adding in additional dungeons and cleaning up translation mistakes, but like you noted in the second half of your post, the man power to update the game (not including the additional resources needed to add game content that wasn't in the original FFVII title) would be pretty steep even if it would be a mega-million seller.
  17. Lmfao. Best spent 11 minutes of my life. When he said "Rick Astley?" I immediately had his song mentally playing in my head because I've been rickrolled so many times. <<
  18. << Gonna like, Bump this thread << Because I really want to encourage DS2 talk. Pretty Big Spoilers Especially in chapter 10-11? You go back inside the Ishimura... it's pretty fawked up. Especially when you get to the section where there's like blue substances all over the walls - I think it replaces the blood from the first game, and than it doesn't help cause Issac suffers from his dementia - he sees crap that attacked him in the first game like the tentacles that would drag him across the floor as he frantically aimed at the bright yellow/orange bulbs on the arms. Overall the game isn't scary to me, it just causes me to jump so much or immediately get paranoid. (Especially if you backtrack through areas...)

    Gay Rights?

I consider myself an atheist even though I am a supposed catholic child but I've no experience when it comes to reading the bible nor teachings about god, I don't even attend church like a regular person but I understand that Christianity is one of the few founding religions to the United States - which is why some people so heavily frown upon homosexuality; they begin to mix and combine their religious views with the vague laws that make up our country. However, I firmly believe in the fact that we are to separate church and state and I consider gay rights free game to those who want it - that they shouldn't be restricted or penalized for their own decisions. I find some issues such as this a result of pure ignorance on the side that takes offense; I acknowledge that homosexuality exists, but I do not pour my entire being into preventing it because it is not my realm to dwell - I also do not encourage it, so I sit on a middleman - fence sitter position.
  20. Mmm, Sounds like its right up my alley based on the "plot" content. I'm a big fan of Unknown World's "Natural Selection" (Still gotta get around to trying Natural Selection 2) and from that trailer alone Interstellar Marines sounds good, maybe even rivaling NS in its finished product form. Can't honestly say my computer could run it efficiently though; but my brother's custom gaming PC can
  21. I've borrowed the first disc to Dead Space 2. Being a veteran player of the original Dead Space, the game is definitely nerve racking but nothing extremely scary to me; but it is definitely not a game for the faint of heart imho. Of course I'd definitely say a lot of the content so far has caught me off guard and made me jump (like Necromorphs suddenly dropping in behind you as you make your way through a long hall way) but in no way has it scared the living hell out of me. Great game so far, I just need to go borrow disc two from my friend once he's done with it ----------- Edit: So I'm playing disc two, OMFG it is ridiculously THAT much harder. I thought the first disc was a tad bit hard - the later chapters are pushing hard to extreme. The Pukers are extremely annoying; Stasis should be used seldomly and Stalker Rooms are definitely hell.
  22. I've played the GBA and DS versions and honestly I never had problems with difficulty, other than being under-leveled or ill-equipped at the time. Usually I was just under the ideal level requirements for my party cause like Koby, I usually flee from battles to get wherever faster & than grind it out (which in my experience is harder.)
