  1. Great answers everyone. Koby and Lemming raise good points. A partial retelling of the series. Perhaps a film or two? And I'm quite neutral on this subject, if that wasn't clear. I like the anime as is but then again, having a new version of it be released wouldn't be bad either. Then there's the subject of its age like Nintendon't mentioned. In fact, as of April 7th of this month, it is 6 years old. There is also a 6 year gap between the original Full Metal Alchemist and FMA: Brotherhood, although I don't think this has anything to do with it getting a reboot of any kind.
  2. There are two series I want to jump into this summer. Chuunibyou and the Monogatari series. Question is, should I? I mean yes I should but....

@lemming. Thanks for that. I just wasn't sure what people thought of both series up until now.

@Jim haha, yup. Well I guess I'm ready to go then.

@RYONBO thanks. I'll get started on downloading them soon!!

  3. Here's the chapter for those who haven't read it yet: http://www.mangapanda.com/naruto/673 Gotta admit, I was expecting this after having read the past chapter. It would make sense that the Sage's power would be split between the two this way. While I'm digging this, I have to wonder, why did the Rinnegan manifest in only one eye?
  4. Now, before you say this or that, hear me out. As a fan of the manga, I have to say I was somewhat let down at the ending. I won't spoil it, for those who haven't read it yet (I already did once(not the ending, but an important scene in the manga); not one of my brightest decisions, anywho...) That's not to say I didn't enjoy it, in fact I loved it. I loved all the characters, their development, the events and everything else in between. But I felt that with what happened at the end, a piece of the story will never be known....unless if by some miraculous chance there will be a Soul Eater 2. This is where I turn to the anime. The anime, at least for me, had a more complete conclusion. Granted, it was nowhere close with what the manga had but you get my point. The conflict was resolved. What happened afterwards (like any other anime/manga/light novel) was left to fan interpretation. With the news that the spin-off manga, Soul Eater Not!, had received an anime adaption, many people on the interwebs began to talk about a reboot of the Soul Eater anime. Why? well, people wanted a more faithful adaption (at least, that's what I've heard) along the lines of FMA: Brotherhood. Heck, people even started talking about a Soul Eater: Brotherhood anime. Given what BONES had done with Full Metal Alchemist, most people have told me, why not? They should reanimate it. My question is, should they? What for? For me, I like the anime as is. I fear that if a faithful reboot a la Brotherhood(I know it sounds weird but it fits) style were to be green-lighted, that new conclusion would be....strange. If you've read the manga to the end, you know what I'm talking about. Of course, there's always the chance that BONES could change things. On the other hand, I would love to see the other elements that the manga has that the anime never had. So there's a balance right there, of sorts. And so, I want to hear your guys' opinions. And let's be serious about this. What do you personally think about this. Who knows, it may or may never come to pass, but if it did, would it be worth it? necessary even? It may be a sore topic for some but right now this subject deserves some serious discussion from the fans.
  5. It feels kind of strange. The mangas that got you into Manga in general are reaching their ends. Sora no Otoshimino, Soul Eater, TWGOK, and not too far off in the future, Naruto, just to name a few. Then again, there's always new ones like Nisekoi and Clockwork Planet so I guess its ok.

    1. Tsukumo Yuma

      Tsukumo Yuma

it is pronounced like the studio's name.

      the pronounciation is like this

      Toe Hoe

      no curse words intended.

@Nintendon't; nope. There are plenty of shounen that victory isn't determined by random power ups, or even with strength at all. HxH for example, the main character is often weaker than his opponent, but wins through strategy. Either way you go about it.... at least come up with something different from arc to arc.

    3. Koby

      Koby

@Sheldon131, honestly neither GX_ST nor Kyuubi did any good with the show. Ryugan was ace, but they died at episode 60. Hiyono was 2nd best but died at like 96. That left us with HorribleSubs or Tsuki (which both were CR ripped subs obviously, and Tsuki had a terrible editor that created spelling errors that didn't exist originally, etc..)

    4. Nintendon't

      Nintendon't

Well maybe like 80-90%. Most shonen have that formula. Run into powerful enemy ->Gets ass kicked -> flashback or thoughts about how they have to believe in themselves/friends -> all of a sudden finds the strength to beat enemy -> celebration episode where main character and his friends say good bye to the arc characters -> Wash, rinse, repeat.

  10. I've played several FPSs in my time. COD, BF, Titanfall and several others. Out of all those, Battlefield 3 will always be the one I consider the best for several reasons. Were it not for the bugs and setbacks, Battlefield 4 would take the cake, but the change in controls + the things I've mentioned have kept me away. Had Battlefield 3 been built with the Frostbite 3 engine, it would've set records, I think. Well I wouldn't know but....
  11. It's set to premiere on April 5. I have 4 anime to rundown. First off: Witch Craft Works What a surprising anime this was. The reversed roles of prince and damsel-in-distress was something I didn't expect but I warmed up to it. I loved all the characters. Each one had their charm. Tanpopo's voice killed me everytime. The opening and ending were great. I liked it. My only complaint is that Chronoire and Kazane's fight was too short. It could've been nice, although it did caught me off guard when I finally realized what she meant when her favorite meals were powerful witches. I'd definitely watch another season of this series. 9/10 Kill la Kill Oh my me. Rarely does an anime have me at the edge of my seat. Sure, there are episodes within anime that do the same but for an entire season to do so? That's rare for me. This anime did that. To take something as simple as clothing and twist it to make a story out of it. Crazy stuff. What else can I say. If you watch it, you'll definitely love it. Truly one for the history books and it definitely serves as a spiritual successor to Gurren Lagann. 10/10 No-Rin The funny comedic one. That's all I'm saying. If you watch it you'll laugh your butt off. I just wish there could've been more expansion to the romance. Maybe some jealousy and all those risque moments you see in other anime. Also, Becky-sensei was a bit......too much. 8/10 Mahou Sensou Oh wow. To be honest, I have no clue what to say about this anime. I knew that the anime deviated greatly from the light novels but this much was toooo much. First off, animation: wat. When you see the opening with Eterna spinning around in an awkward way, you know something's going to go south. Song choice was meh. Animation wasn't bad but there were scenes that made me cringe. The last minute quality on the final episode was......ugh. The same was done with No-Rin but that was nothing compared to here. Voice acting: i got nothing to say here. All the VAs did a marvelous job. Gekkou's voice annoyed me, but that's when I realized that he has the same voice actor as Accelerator. Plot: plot? What is that? Is that a topping you put on toast? Or a horse's-- The story.....there is no story. It starts off with one thing then goes to another and another without bringing closure to anything. I stood by the anime for the characters, to see what happened between them all. There were so many things left unanswered before the final episode killed it all. Get this(and this is a spoiler): TIME TRAVEL, TIME F*CKING TRAVEL. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! The whole final battle between the G.T and W.B, not to mention the whole concept of MAGIC, MAGIC WARS and all that crap was laughable. It....just...I just.....what?!? There are so many plot holes in the story but my rant ends here.... Madhouse is a power in the animation/vfx industry, in this case its animation. Its works have placed it among the the top tier of studios, a list spearheaded by ILM. Every studio has its goods and bads. Here we have an example of one of those bads. I was expecting a bit more from this series, considering it was Madhouse. I mean, they're the guys who brought us Summer Wars. That film was rocking awesome!! Sadly, that didn't come to pass. 1/10
