  1. By fanatically twisted religion do you mean Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. Pick a religion. Zealots of all of them have tried to force by physical and psychological means to convert the heathens. Native American Indians and African-American slaves were all forced to accept Christianity to save their immortal souls. In fact pick an ideology and you will find zealots who resort to terrorism to further its cause.

Also there are at last count 100 different definitions of terrorism. The common denominator in all of them is the ability to instill fear. The fact that no deaths are involved does not lessen the fear. The threat is stronger than the execution (quote attributed to Aron Nimzowitsch) because the execution eliminates the fear. Also the actions of the Boston Tea Party helped lead the country to the Revolutionary War. There is no doubt that terrorism was used on both sides in that war.

all faiths and religions at some time were fanatically twisted. today (modern Times) there is no heathen bullshit just atheism. the world wasnt being portioned out between the more modern religion and we americans never killed other to force a religion just threw some manipulation in with firewater. i know where your coming form. ive been to iraq enough to know that not all these people a fanatics. they practice the religion correctly. it also usually starts with a few people with their own agenda. and as for the tea party it was FOR OUR FREEDOM. tired of the tyranny of the king. american have been terrorists at some point. not the fight for our independence

  2. Terrorism comes in all shapes, colors, and religions. Terrorists can be anyone from the Unabomber to Timothy McVeigh to Osma Bin Laden.

But I remember the phrase one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. I do believe that the British referred to the Boston Tea Party participants as terrorists. The British also designated the Jewish group Lehi in 1946-1949 as a terrorist group. (The state of Israel (formed in 1948) saw them as freedom fighters.)

Radicals and extremists cause the fear but it stains the entire group (wrongly or rightly).

we may have been terrorists back then but it was to gain our freedom not not get some fanaticaly twisted religion into everyones head. no where in the koran does it say kill the infadels and cut their heads off. there is a difference between freedom fighters and terrorists. the tea party was more of a vandalism type thing to piss the brits off. no one died. sometimes definitions of words can get warped.

  3. You have .swf files and you need something to play the flash games?

Just right click on one and select open with -> FireFox (check always do this box).

Then you can simply click the game from there on and it'll load in firefox and work.

cool thank you. never thought of that.

  4. the definition of terrorism is to scare others into doin what you want though means of blowing yourself up killing others and demolishing building. people think muslims are terrorsists but in reality its just the fanatic groups. like the nazis. only 10 percent of the population in germany were nazis. anyone can be a terrorist. Ivw been deployed to iraq and afghanistan. believe me the media feed you the bullshit. they arent evil here. nor are they terrorists. ive seen terrorists. people killing themselves to prove a point or comin on the new with threats of violence if theyre wants arent met. terrorism can be used by anyone. it aint bullshit. but people do put it in the wrong context

  5. Maybe people will call me biased because I own guns and I go deer hunting, dove hunting, or simply shoot at beer cans and targets, but I believe gun laws are retarded. The whole 'guns kill' is idiotic. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Taking away guns from the citizens is not going to stop the people who'd kill people with guns, they'd simply get them illegally.

Not to mention that without guns, how would people hunt? Did you know it's a known fact that legal hunters are a good thing? They keep the population from overcrowding and therefore food in their areas for those species stay plentiful so they animals don't die off and crap. Hell the enviromentalist and even a lot of animal rights activists etc.. and crap understand that. Also the amount of money hunters bring into the government between the yearly licenses and crap? The government would be cutting their own throats.

If they do ban firearms, you really think we gun owners would hand them over quietly? Fuck no, we'd hide them out somewhere they'd never find them. Some will be registered to you, like if you bought them new but most of my guns, infact none of my guns are registered in my name so they couldn't tie any back to me to prove I even have them.

Outstanding. i am with ya on that. law make us defensless becuase the wrong people are targeted. thats just my tidbit

ill throw my bit in there. i am a gun owner as well. i have nothing against people not wanting to shoot and not owning guns. but people who have never fired one or had a bad experience with one of tried it but didnt like are the ones making the laws. those people safe up in government are listening to the wrong people and the gun laws are targeting the wrong people. EXAMPLE. switzerland had the mandatory every citizen above 18 i believe are required to own one firearm. crime there is the lowest in the world. no one wants to raid a house if they now its defended. its the bullies and people with no common sense they ruin it for others. I am military but that dont mean i am biased of anything i look at both sides of the issue. some gun laws do help but they need to stop with some that just dont make sense. we dont need full auto firearms but they tried banning bolt action long rifles becuase they said they were sniper rifles. they dont know the definition of a sniper rilfe. or assault rifle. assault rilfe-a full automatic military firearms designed to give it user fire superiority over his opponent. a civilian ar15 is not an assualt rifle. a remington model 700 is not a sniper rilfe.

  6. Most people think that gun laws help as it makes people safer because the police are there. We live in a time when the pizza man will get to your house before the police another says. gun laws hurt people becuase it make them defenseless. these are All opinions. What is your opinion. What do you think about gun laws and in a secondary what about home defense laws like the make my day law. For those of you who dont know the make my day law few states have it but it give you the right to defend yourself without reprocutions from the law as long as you are on you own property. We live in a free country with the freedom of speech so give your opinion.

  7. If anyone aint seen it yet its a pretty good show. About marines in OIF 1 on the push to bahgdad. 7 episodes about an hour long. not all fighting either so it some hollywood copied crap that you usually see. its alot like The Pacific

  8. No offense, but a quick Google reveals that information in the first response. How the heck could you have missed it?

becuase what it said was evangelion but that was it. no info. must've snuck its way in to my download. mistake. no worries though i did do some research on it and i shouldve done that before. one mistake thatll make me be alot more carefull with where i download shows.

  9. dude, no offence on all your patriotism, but the UN did a survey on the best countries to live in and here's a sample of that list :-

    1 Norway

    2 Australia

    3 Iceland

    4 Canada

    5 Ireland

    6 Netherlands

    7 Sweden

    8 France

    9 Switzerland

    10 Japan

    11 Luxembourg

    12 Finland

    13 United States

    14 Austria

    (Source : http://www.nowpublic.com/world/best-country-live-list-countries-2009-un-hdi)

so ... number 13 on a list just to be before AUSTRIA, yeah, that speaks a lot.

on top of all that, the US has the highest crime rate in the world. (Source : http://www.mapsofworld.com/world-top-ten/countries-with-highest-reported-crime-rates.html)

besides, you haven't mentioned a thing that makes it the "best damn country in the world".

sorry if i appear rude but that's just my take on the topic.

its all good man but no need for statistics. not all of the country is like that. dont generalize things so much.

This wasn't supposed to be a discussion on what makes the best country in the world. It was supposed to be people saying what it means to them to be American.

To me it means that I was born here, and that I get to enjoy the freedom of being able to say pretty much whatever I want. Especially since less than 20% of the population will understand me :P

sorry i added more crap than needed. i fixed the issue
