You can skip the pdf version if I'm the only one who's interested in it. I just thought it'd be nice to have for anyone who hates the restrictions associated with bbcode, or anyone with an e-reader/tablet. Going through the hassles of creating a pdf for one or two people doesn't really make sense. Maybe there could be a poll to see how many people are really interested in the different versions you're thinking about.

I have stupid phobias. Reverse fear of heights: Being afraid to look up when standing on a high open place. The fear I'm made fun of the most for. Beach sharks: Being afraid of being attacked while swimming at the beach, but not while snorkeling or scuba diving. Also viciously ridiculed for this fear. Mostly due to my pathetic pyramid of protection strategy I insist on using when at the beach. Specific spider phobia: Fear of only certain types of spiders. Daddy Long Legs, Brown Recluse, and Wolf Spiders. Almost all others are fine, and I actually like the furry little jumping spiders, they amuse me. Don't really get laughed at much for this one. Most people around here won't tolerate a Brown Recluse or Wolf Spider in their home due to them being venomous. I do get flack for freaking out when a Daddy Long Leg sneaks up on me though. I'm also anti-social, but it doesn't really have anything to do with fear. I just don't like being around people I haven't already vetted, they usually talk to much.

I think there are far more people that desire a more enlightened human race than just EO, and I would consider myself one of them. The idea that humans have to "just be themselves" doesn't make sense. We wouldn't have laws and governments if that was the case. We'd just move back into the trees with the rest of the apes. The idea that there are some things we just shouldn't do is what separates us from apes in the first place. The problem is that some of us haven't climbed all the way out of the tree yet. If you don't want to be referred to as a victim blamer, then maybe you should stop trying to blame the victims. EO has already mentioned that not everyone has a choice to not be bullied. Some people are targeted solely for their inability to escape those who would target them. Saying that these people are some way at fault because they didn't try to avoid bullying harder makes absolutely no sense at all. You say nothing can be done about bullying, but then blame the victims for not getting out of the way. If there's logic in that argument, I fail to see it.
-
I believe that anything is possible if you're willing to pay the price. The price to stop bullying would be freedom, especially freedom on the net. We would either have to give up our right to not be heavily monitored by our ISPs and government, or give up free web services like youtube and facebook. It's the freedom of these services and the anonymity of the net that make cyber bullying possible. People would have to know, and see, that their actions could be easily traced by those who desire to prosecute them. Personally, I wish facebook and twitter would just go away, I hate them both. I wish google would become a pay site so they wouldn't have to pimp us out to the highest bidder. I would much rather pay google a monthly fee and have unlimited youtube upload rights with email, than have to worry about who google is selling my info to.

I voted hosters because the laws in the USA are going to start making it harder for people to use torrents. Could IRC bot be a possible option?

What Media Player do you use to watch downloaded videos?
† L4ugh replied to Kid Ryan's topic in Tech Center
I still have mpc-hc and vlc installed, but I rarely use either anymore. XBMC has pretty much taken over all of my media needs. I wish it wasn't such a pig on resources, but the streaming apps have become to addictive. -
The goosing sounds like the kid is seeking attention. In my experience that could be the result of a crush, being bullied or ostracized on the playground, trouble with one or more friends, or some kind of trouble at home. Kids should have learned touching boundaries before hitting school age, it's necessary for enrollment where my nephews and niece go school. What I see when I look at that gif is a little boy in full on play mode. It doesn't even register in his happy little mind that she is unhappy. He's taking her pushing as some kind of game, probably fueled by the laughter of the adults. It probably started as a hug, but when the adults laughed the first time he hit the ground, it became a game. A say this because of the second to last gif. He isn't even trying to put his arms around her anymore. He's just smiling and waiting to be pushed for the amusement of the adults. The adults, imo, are entirely to blame for this behavior, and he will stop when they stop laughing. I don't believe he'll grow up to be a rapist because of this, but he could be doomed to a life as a ventriloquist, which is equally as bad. I don't have kids of my own, but I have become a surrogate father to my nephews and niece. I have noticed this behavior in all of them, even the niece. The slightest giggle can doom you to repeating that which you just giggled at for the next 30 mins. You can tell them no, or that it's bad, but it won't register because they saw you laugh. laughing adult > stop, don't, no, quit, for the love of god, etc, etc Edit: I removed my lame jokes to prevent anymore tangent posting.

There are more than two branches to the Abrahamic religions. At least two of those branches are further separated into sub religions that follow their religious books in different ways. I also don't see how a book could be considered a dictator. They are objects that are only given the powers we allow them to have. I guess I understand what you are trying to say, but your previous statements were inaccurate. What my last statement means is that you can't fight intolerance with intolerance. I was trying to say that railing against a religion because they don't see things your way, isn't going to change anything. Their pride will kick in and they will only fight against you harder than ever before. If you want to get anywhere you have to take a similar approach to MLK or Ghandhi. You have to make them the guilty party, it's the only way to deplete their support. Almost every fight has three sides. The two extremes that refuse to tolerate each other, and everyone else in the middle. The side that wins is the one that gets the most people from the middle. Could you possibly clarify what "nikki model" is suppose to mean, I know not this reference.
-
Could you please share more information on both of these statements. Which are the two dictator run religions you are referring to? If your vast knowledge of humanity can't be shared here, there is an 18 and older section you could use. I'm always up to learning more about humanity, it's such an interesting species. I have no real problem with the gay community, and still stand by my two previous post. This problem, however, will not go away until the government (supreme court) decides what the definition of marriage in this country is. This is entirely a government problem, religious groups have the right to protect their religious beliefs. It's the government that was too stupid and lazy to not maintain it's own self appointed distance from religious faiths. They are the only ones that can fix this problem now. Standing up and hating on a religion because you've decided it's stupid and/or pointless will accomplish absolutely nothing. It's no different than the more violent wings of the civil rights movement, all you do is weaken your own position. Peace, tolerance, and understanding are the only way communities can ever move forward. This is something the extremes on both sides need to learn.

I'm not really sure what this is suppose to mean, but the one I was referring to was the same card you had in your parts list. I was only trying to inform you that some of the parts you desired to "stick with" might not be compatible.

Return of the Kametsu Newsletter!
† L4ugh replied to † Emotional Outlet's topic in Broadcast Station
I was actually going to ask that very question in my last post, or see if a html formatted version could be posted on the actual Kametsu site. I decided against it because I didn't want it to seem like I was trying to take away from the actual forum. Personally, I'd prefer the nicer format of a pdf or html to the more restricted forum thread format, but that's just me. -

Do the articles have to be straight text, or could pictures and videos be used as well? -
What exactly is your definition of small form factor? I honestly can't see you finding a case that meets all your needs, and isn't at least a mid-tower. My best suggestion for one that would work, and I think you'd like, would be this. You could probably get some pretty good air flow if you loaded it up with 140mm fans. As far as the intake-exhaust setup you mentioned, it sounds pretty interesting, but how would you mount it? Would the top fans be on the outside or inside of the case? I'm also not entirely sure those gfx cards will work with your mobo. The one pictured here seems to need three slots, but the mobo only seems to offer two per PCI-E slot. Do these cards come with the same heatsink setup where you live? You may be able to find a smaller case if the gfx cards you get don't need three slots per card. However, I can't see you getting a true small form factor pc without using a mini-itx mobo. Going itx will cost you a gfx card at least, but you may also lose your liquid cooler as well. Smaller cases aren't very good at accommodating the type of hardware you're wanting to use. I'm not saying the case you're looking for doesn't exist, but if it does, I don't know of it. All the micro atx cases I've seen, only come with four rear expansion slots. That means they can't fit two gfx cards like the one I linked to, at least not without modification.

Looking for a Video game recording program and TV tuner
† L4ugh replied to seirachan's topic in Tech Center
Honestly, I would just record it from an emulator on your PC. I know ZSNES has this feature, but I'm not sure about the others. The emu shouldn't take up to much processing power either, so you should have enough for the recording as well. -

How will the reviews work? Will everyone just do their own thing, or will there be a set Kametsu standard all reviewers will follow? -
NM, looks like Dae beat me to it, the video he linked to should work. Do you have a picture that shows the bottom of the labtop? If you're lucky, there is either one large panel; or a small and medium sized one. Under those panels should be where you replace ram and hdds. Problem is, not all labtops make it that easy to replace the hdd. Some will bury the sucker in there so you have no choice but to gut it. If this is the type you have, you'd be better off just paying someone else to do it. To replace it, all you should need is a regular labtop hdd, unless it uses some special type of hdd. You could probably go ssd if you wanted to, but it would be a more expense option. You will want to make sure you get the right type of hdd. It's really hard to replace an IDE with a SATA. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I can't seem to find any decent specs on that model.

Dreamcastor: OMG, that kitten is adorable, the bubble things are also a nice touch. Breathless: Also totally adorable. I like how you did the letters as well. Firedogx10: Honestly, I like blue more then I like red. The blue tiger, imo, also had more detail.

I've always really liked Katherine, Jacqueline, and Erin. I think Julia and Priscilla are also really nice names. Artemis and Lily would be really cool names too, but they kind of sound a little hippie.

Personally, I would skip 1 and go straight to 2. You'd only be spreading a virus if that is what turns out to be the problem. Try Parted Magic, it's a live linux distro so you won't need to install it. It will support ntfs, and it can also scan for viruses with ClamAV. There's also a tool that can check the health of hdds, but I can't remember it's name off hand. If you can mount the drive with Parted Magic, I would back up everything you can. You may not get a second chance if you don't.

So does this mean you have everything working now? If so, enjoy your new computer.

This error makes me think it's an issue with the UEFI your mobo uses instead of the old Bios. I did a google search of the actual error message and came up with a link to another forum. Link to post Below is the answer the guy seemed to come up with. Sounds like the UEFI might be creating an extra boot option that is screwing with your installation process. I haven't gotten a chance to play with the new UEFI yet, so I can't be certain this is your problem. My best guess would be that it does have something to do with the UEFI.

It isn't that I think it's a big deal, but rather that it looks unprofessional. I just think having a skin that doesn't work properly, unnecessarily disguises the true amount of work that goes into this forum. Either way, I'll survive just fine, I just thought I'd bring it up so it could hopefully be fixed. At the end of the day it's your site, if you're ok with it, don't worry about it. I personally wouldn't put too much into fixing these problems if I'm the only one who's bringing them up. I did take a quick look at the skinbox site, but said fuck it when I saw the price tag for a single skin. As far as what skin I like, I don't really care how they look. I do think IP.Board is a bit whiter then it needs to be, but it's not insultingly white. I could easily live with it if I needed to. I also liked the old one and would be fine if it returned. IMHO though, the Brave skin doesn't really seem worth the trouble you're putting into it. If I used the 5 day trial of ipboard, could I hack at the IP.Board skin and then export the result? I think a black version of it, with a banner on top, would look pretty nice. My web design skills are limited to basic html, but I'd still be willing to stab at it awhile.

I was actually referring to the flickering one, but I did notice that as well. What you have an image of could be covered up with a well placed lie, but the flickering would be a bit harder to explain away.

Is that the Freedom Gundam or one from a different series? Either way I likes it.
