Yep ive been watching, got to see it from the start since I wake up around 2AM to start my day. It's great...wish there werent so many commercials though ;_; first time ive got to see it from start to finish.

For programs, I use photoshop CS3(10) Extended. Extended includes a 3d photoshop feature as well as the rest of the features. All photoshops are good though, ive used 7-10 and any of them will still work perfectly. But everyone is right, it costs money...alot of money.
For images, well... render sites are pretty useful when it comes to sigs and banners but I find myself rendering most of my own images. I also look under search at DeviantArt incase I see something that catches my eye, they have plenty of images there.
I'm an affiliate of Oritsuru.. its owned by my friend Omar.. Fifi use to own it but now she owns Drakengard Online.. which is another one of my affiliates, but Drakengard Online has been offline for a couple months.
Heh I remember Fifi, was a member at the first site she ever owned, she's great with graphics but not around very much anymore D:

Hmm thats a tough one, I didnt really care for FFXII battle sequences, I like the way the old games are done where you are taken off-screen to a battle field. I didn't really care for FFVIII's 'Draw' function mainly because if I used magic that was drawn and equipped it would drain my status and I had to sit around for to long just drawing magic out of enemies...still liked it better than FFXII's though, not really into the real time thing.
So I can't really choose between VII, IX, and X's system, all were great.
-
Hmm, I'd go with Photoshop CS3 (10) but it costs money, alot of people I know usually get it from torrents though, might be risky.

Just started playing FFX-2 last night, figured I would go ahead and finish. I didnt like it enough and stopped mid way when if first came out, I like it now though for some reason.

A topic from an old forum I was on::
This is more of a comparison of how the two systems work, I want to know what everyone else thinks and where you would rather live "after" you read what I have read about and listened to on a political underground radio station here.(Using the American vs. Russian political system)
Freedom:
Money and living
In a free country you have a right to make a living the best you can, but you can also end up in the category of not being prosperous at all and not able to get a job. There is a chance of never having enough money to survive. Healthcare is not given to you, it is up to you to fend for yourself along with all other insurance.
Government ran by the people
In a free country you have a right to go against the government and its the right for people to over throw the government, but when someone really decided to over throw the government the military and law enforcement will be used to 'exterminate' the situation... is the country really free to do as its law makers say? Can the people really get rid of something that could be destructive to a free nation?
Punishment
Time is the punishment, time and money. It's like telling a child to give up their candy and go into a corner for time out. When their time is up there is still a great chance that its repeated over and over. Crime rates are high in a free society, maybe the punishments are not great enough?
Communist
Before we touch on this issue I want to remind you that in a free country communism has the propaganda in the media to make you think its the worst possible place to be in. This propaganda is used everywhere, tv, net, school system(history class) ect
Money and living
In a communistic society jobs are provided for you, there is no possible way you cannot get a job, transportation/vehicals are provided for you aswell as insurance and health care. Communist nations want to make all of their citizens equal to one another in all aspects. But in a communist nation its not as possible to become 'rich' as it is in a free nation. You also dont get to pick and choose what is given to you, you are provided with a living and are still free to do as you please with it.
Government ran by the people
This goes pretty much the same as in a free nation except they go ahead and tell you that you cannot over throw the government.
Punishment
Punishment in communist soceity is very strict, you steal you lose your hand, you kill then you are executed. Crime rate is very very low in a communist country, someone on the radio show that visted russia said he could walk down a back alley at night and not be scared or he could leave his wallet somewhere and come back the next day and it still be there.
The reason they used Russia is because russia no longer uses this type of political system, the reports show that since the change the crime rate has burst and now people who once felt secure around their fellow man no longer do.
-----
On one side, you have a system that lets you do anything as you please but does not provide for you and makes it your problem if your not healthy or not safe. On the other side you have a system that provides for your needs and insures your safety and health but does not allow you to speak out against it and is very strict with laws.
-----
These are just afew sections out of the talk show I listened to, if this thread actually gets off the ground I will post afew more sections up. I want to know what you guys think on how the two systems are being disputed against one another. And what you would rather live in.

This has always been something I wonder to myself deeply about, on one hand.. I do believe in god but I don't believe in denominations(aka baptist, methodist, ect). I believe you create your own personal hell and/or your own personal heaven.
I believe in god and the afterlife but its very mixed, pre-exposer to religion in my younger years can make things cloudy until I got old enough to know better and really have a thinking process for myself, I always thought I did but thinking becomes more and more defined the older I get. I believe in God/afterlife but not the way most people do.

Its already time? T_T I'm in college and I still hate school. The social part is obviously the best part. I go back next Monday. I've been so busy this summer I fell liked I've been robbed of my summer break.

Yeah -.- know exactly what you mean, i still dont like school even after I finished high school.. I'm actually almost finished with a semester though and going on a two week break around mid september.

Welcome welcome ^^; how are you?

When I was in high school I was label'd metalhead...probably because I had hair that was long enough to touch my ass and I wore pantera(mainly) and other metal band shirts alot. Oh yeah, cut my hair...its back at the middle of my back again, never going to cut it short. But yeah, maybe its just my tech school but when you go to college or technical school your not really label'd no one talks to anyone here haha.

Wow >.< yeah I remember that site to, ffwhisper was affiliated with it at one time if I can remember correctly. Yes yes leave it to drama to ruin a good thing ;_; I'd give anything to go back and fix it but oh well. Another one of my first forums back then was a site ran by tidusx called ffultima which also doesnt exist anymore I think, he was a pretty good graphics designer and thats pretty much all I remember haha
-
The first forum I was a part of was a forum made on suddenlaunch, it was where me and the ffward.net webmaster(sean) started our online 'lives' it was a forum he made back probably 5-6years ago if i can remember correctly.
The first forum I was webmaster of was ffwhisper.com, its not there anymore it ended after about a year or so, had around 50,000 members. I still have the backup file for the forums somewhere, it took up a whole backup disk lol xD.. drama killed that forum sadly... oh the days of being in drama fest with online friends.
Edit: hmm ffward doesnt seem to be there anymore either, he never told me he stopped running it.

I'm actually probably going to get it tomorrow. Funny, everyone here keeps saying they've heard really bad things about it. I, on the other hand, have heard almost nothing but good things about it. It seems like it's probably going to be pretty, well... It seems like it might suck starting out, but after level 12 or so, it's supposed to get better.
I like how there's always something to do. I played World of Warcraft for about five months and constantly hated how you could only have two trade skills. FFXI gives you all of them.
I also like how you always have something to look forward to when leveling. I never got past level 41 in WoW because the entire time I was simply looking forward to my mount. After level 40, you have to wait until like 60 before things get interesting again. In FFXI, it seems like you're always getting something when you level up. At least, that's what my friends tell me.I can't decide what race to choose from, nor can I choose what job to start with. I'm probably going to with a Hume (male) Red Mage, but I was also considering Elvaan Thief, Black Mage, or Red Mage. I kind of want to try out Dark Knight and Dragoon, but I have to get at least level 30 to do so. Also, I really wish to try out all (or nearly all) of the jobs, making Hume a perfect choice because of their balance. Trying out the various jobs will also be made easier due to the sub-job system. Hah, it'll pretty much force me to do so.

Anyhow, I'm really looking forward to getting this game. Can't wait 'til tomorrow. I just hope the updates don't take too long.

Hey if you do decide to get it come to server odin^^ I can hook you up starting out and get you into a linkshell. Its true the game get awesome the higher up you go, alot of people are returning to FFXI that are finished with WoW, afew people came back to our linkshell that completed WoW and became bored because there is nothing to do when you max your lvls and gear out in WoW. But yeah its really fun, really detailed when it comes to character and job developement. Hit me up if you get it, name is Reenhart (:

I think that Christmas should not be edited out of the media, seeing as it is for christian it should be there, if no other religion is edited out of the media I believe that it should all be on a fair and excepting level as all the others.
So yes I believe christmas is ok, if they do away with christmas they need to do away with whatever other religions have out there in the media as well...just my opinion though, either everything is ok or nothing is.
Just for reference I do not have a religion, I'm still looking for the answer for myself, so maybe this doesnt really matter as much to me as some people, you decide.
Off topic abit but was mentioned:
As for the jobs thing, different debate, but nothing's stopping you from becoming qualified for a job. Unless the immigrants are, like, beating you up or something and threatening your life if you ever apply for a job. Immigrants around here tend to get the manual labour jobs anyway and they get paid less to do that more physical work. Any other person would be demanding more money for such a terrible job. I think most people can aim a little higher than McDonald's.
Actually there is alot more to that, I used to landscape with my neighbor, he became a landscaper because he lost his job in construction because the contractor employeed illegal immigrants that would work for 2$ a hour, minimum wage here is $6.50, and you can not live or support a family on 2$ he lost his job along with the other legal citizens because the illegal immigrants would work for nothing, the immigrants do not pay taxes and give our area a bad crime rate (my dad is a police officer, ive seen the reports) tax paying citizens are loosing their jobs, health care is dropping badly and the well being of our area has been shot down over the past few years.
Im not against immigration, legal immigrants are required to pay taxes and live out their lives fairly. I am against illegal immigration though, nothing illiegal supports our society. they do not care for their enviornment or the citizens in it because they arent paying to live there like legal citizens.

I think you guys and girls don't understand why this thread is called FFVII: Tech Demo, as i can see is that you guy have got a clue of what you are talking about, well then it says 'Tech Demo', this doesn't mean that they are going to remake it because it actually means that it is showing you what the game would look like if Square Enix remade it more realistic!
I know it doesnt mean they will remake it, they were just doing a demonstration of what it would look like on ps3, im just saying I don't think thats the only reason they did that.. wouldnt seem very logical to display something for the ps3 just to show what it can do, ps3 is made by sony not SE, it wouldnt benefit SE to go out of there way to develop that demo. I think SE is trying to see what kind of responses people are having to it.
They do that all the time to all the people playing FFXI right now, they tease and later add what they denied to an expansion pack afew years later if they had a good response. Just wouldnt make any sense to spend money on something that will not have a positive return for that money.
-
Hi^^ welcome to the forums! Enjoy.
-
Yeah I'd pay 60$ for a remake of FFVII.
I think it will be remade eventually though... I don't think SE would just get all its followers excited then bust em' up with disappointment, it's all about the reaction. :c
Come ooooonnnnn remake!

Rainbow Six: Vegas
-
I own a PS3 (60GB) I got it back in January. I got to say despite all the hard times Sony is having getting it launched off strong due to legal issues it was well worth spending 600$ on. Havent had a bad experience with it yet, Right now the only games I own for it are..
Genji: Day of the Blade
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
FEAR
Resistance: Fall of Man
But yeah once Sony gets it launched to its fullness when the legal issues are done, I think it will blow up, maybe even more when they eventually have a price cut. I own all 3 of the new consoles... rarely play the Wii, I think that was a bad investment, but meh my sister has fun with it^^.
Anyone that has a PS3/360 here or a PC with enough power should try out Rainbow six: Vegas, got this last night for PC(20$ compared to PS3/360's 60$) its brilliant if you like FPS.

I found the game somewhat dull compared to some of the last titles. I think it was because I just wasnt into the main character and the battle system was ok but I really like the way FFVII through FFX's battle system is. Where it takes you to another screen(aka battlefield layout) and the party is lined up against the fiends. The political story line was different but just not for me, I think its because im so used to having more of a epic storyline in the FF's.
But, I did have fun playing, maxed out all my characters and really got into it, it just took some time for me to draw to it.
