As I've said many times over many sites this entirely depends on the Anime/Manga/Cartoon/Comic. I'm fine with it if:
1. It's taken seriously by the people making it.
2. If they take on a series such as evangelion or bleach, they need to have the money to back up all the CG work and don't short out on it.
3. They either shorten the story to make more sense but in the process it doesn't lose it's charm (the Death Note live action movie in Japan is a prime example), or they make a TV series or at least a series of movies to capture all the important moments.

Yup those are definitely up there, but Grave of the Fireflies is still the saddest anime I've ever seen.
GotF was just flat out depressing, didn't bring a tear to my eye but damn I was depressed. And just to throw in a repeated suggestion, Clannad/Clannad After Story.

Played demos for both Starcraft and Warcraft III, and watched many many casts of professional Starcraft 2 games. And I finally got back into playing Halo Reach. With Kametsu down most of the shows I was in the middle of watching were sorta stopped in their tracks but I'll eventually get around to watching them.
Also thanks to everybody that helped bring the site back up, the tech guys I hear were a pain in the back but you guys trudged on.

I would say Lelouch vi Brittania's but then i would just like to look like him in general. Really love that guy's design.

Bleach was cool back when I started becoming a fan of anime but after watching other series that took the qualities of Bleach and made them even better (and also the fact that i got tired of no real plot twists besides the aizen villain reveal, which i loved). Bleach is a gateway anime and i respect it for what it is. Anime I despise is harem anime, several chicks like one guy... I hate it, one of the most formulaic genres in the book, and it shoves away cool concepts to focus on the guy and the interactions between his many love interests... f**k I hate harems. I also don't like Ecchi shows either, a show made to tease the audience with panty shots (and very easy to rip clothes in Ikkitousen) is a show that goes to the bottom of the barrel and stays there.
I would have to say my least favorite would be Bible Black for obvious reasons. My friend downloaded some of that on my comp and I took a look at it and hated it. I don't really like that kind of stuff on anime anyway. so yea
Goddammit that sh*t is f**ked up

Kool I got the new IP! I tried to get on today but it kept saying connecting to server. Now I think this may be due to my parents having slower internet than I (Im currently visiting my parents and younger brothers.) So ill try again when I get home tomorrow hopefully then I should be able to get on.
Yeah i can't connect either..
edit: never mind i didn't notice the previous post

I liked the first one the most because it seemed to me that all the other villains were driven by Greed (the most unoriginal trait for villains in almost any series and I'm quite frankly tired of shallow villains with Greed being their primary character trait)

Is the server still up? Might be nice to actually play with other people.

Both games will be awesome, but Im probably gonna be too busy with Skyrim to play them when they are released.
Agreed Skyrim beats both. I prefer it because even though most of my friends play it, every single one of us can name several unique experiences that we can share while talking to each other. BF3 and MW3 have the same level unlocks for every player making your play time with each game less unique. I'm also a bit Elder Scrolls nut so that MIGHT have had a deciding factor with my choice, tho honestly I prefer Battlefield 3 because it encourages teamplay and I find that a bit more appealing than just running around trying to benefit only yourself.

Black Lagoon (26 episodes)
Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 (11 episodes)
Gurren Lagann (27 episodes)
ef ~ a tale of memories (12 episodes)
Death Note (37 episodes)
Eden of the East (11 episodes + 2 Movies)
Spice and Wolf (25 episodes + 1 OVA)
Shikabane Hime (25 episodes + 1 Special)
Basilisk (24 episodes)
R.O.D. the TV (26 episodes)
Minami-ke (39 episodes + 1 OVA)
Genshiken (24 episodes + 3 OVA episodes)
Outlaw Star (26 episodes)
Gungrave (26 episodes)
That's mostly from my top 20 list and the longest series I decided to list above was Death Note at only 37 episodes in length. All of these are great series I'd recommend others to watch.
I agree with Koby on this one, Death Note, Gurren Lagann and Gungrave are really great. I would also stick in Elfen Lied, RahXephon, Black Cat, and Fate Stay Night.

Probably from me copy and pasting titles of Guilty Crown earlier today

The way some comedy is done compared to most american tv shows or movies, the fact that it's easier to defy the laws of physics in animation compared to live action, the way they handle tv series over there is a bit more my style (letting a popular series rest in peace after being finished). There is also the fact that you can't exactly get reality shows in there which is without a doubt the predominant tv show style over here which is just stifling imo.

http://www.screwattack.com/news/japan-3g-vita-prices-are-being-slashed
I had a feeling the Vita was a bit too gimmicky, apparently the Vita sold well the first week but then sold only 25% of what they sold the first week the following week. Anyone else see this coming? Do you think this will reflect on American sales once the Vita comes out in America in February?

Clannad After Story followed closely by Code Geass, the only difference between the two is the more I watch Clannad the sadder it gets but the more I watch Geass, the more I understand why he did it and that it was the only way to progress.

lol I went for 36 and realized that it began to lose it's thrill, all nighters are still fun but after about the 26 hour mark my thinking becomes completely derailed where I can't focus on one thing too long or I begin to fall asleep, everything begins to seem too boring to do, I hear things that didn't make any noise and I don't hear what other people are saying half the time. If i'm too tired to enjoy things, i just go asleep. Anyways good luck staying up so long, i know I can't.

Stuck between Asylum or Inside the Fire, it's been a while since i've listened to them tho..
-
Chevelle for me, I liked The Red and a couple others from that album, haven't listened to much of their new stuff.
-
Chuck and me sorta had a falling out after I believe the third season when the cheese began to overflow and they got too caught up in themselves to do anymore character development. Big Bang Theory would probably top my list but that's subject to change because I hear Game of Thrones is really good and I'm considering watching it.
-
I frankly don't plan to get either one, the biggest purchase that I ended up regretting was my DS because I got it when I did impulse buys all the time (i bought it solely for a KH title and Diddy Kong racing). I'm staying out of this one, might dive into the next generation.
-
Right now Inception or Godfather but that can change depending on what I enjoy watching.

Clannad and Clannad After Story
I would beg to differ on that one.. sorry if it feels like i'm shooting you down (which I pretty much am) but Clannad and Clannad After Story have some pretty bad dubs where at times the speech seems broken and at times forced, it looses the flow that the Japanese actors speak with, there were many times where the pronunciation made absolutely no sense to me (note that I am biased to the subbed version considering I watched it subbed first and this is pure opinion).

cool, sent ya a PM, very much appreciated for fixing it up.

lol whoops, how can I contact this "admin" you speak of?

I've been a big Dumner (Dark Elf) guy ever since Morrowind. In Skyrim he seemed to perfectly fit the bill for being a vampire due to his resistances counteracting vampirism.
As for guilds, Dark Brotherhood all the way.
