I'm not condoning the the LACK of action the supervisory guards took. yes they are supervisory only, not actual guards, their job is to report activity not stop it, which as the video shows, they did not even report it. however... In todays F***ed up society, if the guards had stepped in on their own accord as decent individuals and as true men to stop this from happening, it is likely if the attacker or the victim had gotten hurt they could have likely sued the guards and it may have won in court. It happens too often. a man was sued because a woman got into a wreck and her car was on fire. while pulling her from the car, he broke her arm and he sustained second and third degree burns. she sued him and won. he was a pedestrian that chose to help because the cops and fire dept were not there in time. The best intentions of mice and men never go unpunished. a womens house got broken into, the theif broke through the skylight and fell onto the counter where the older woman had left a cooking knife. the theif sued the old lady and won. multiple times per month across the country, dogs are put to sleep for being a "menace to society" because someone went to break into a house and the dog mauled them and they sued the owners. be clear on laws in your state. the reason i love the state of Nevada among other reasons, if someone breaks into my house and i shoot them as long as they are in my house with a weapon that shows intent to harm then there is a short investigation and the case is closed. No this has not happened to me. this is strictly for instance. honestly though, the fact that the guards didn't even stand in the way and try and block the girl from getting hit is what impresses me, then they didn't even check to see if she was alive. and then next, there were other people there, why didn't they do something??? civility is not placed only with those that responsibility is placed on, if it is, then that person has given up all rights to their own life.
