  1. New edit on first post: Added extra info on the TL;DR, also added new section on list: "Shows that I do not recommend" I'm more of a Marvel fan, really, but I can't deny that I've heard good things about a lot of the DC cartoons. I might check them out eventually, but for now that's gonna have to be on the back of my mind. Thanks for the recommendations!
  2. Well, I thought the whole show was really good all the way through the first season, so there's probably a difference in taste here. I don't know how far you watched, but the final episode of Season 1 is really intense and plot-heavy, and definitely worth it. Season 2 furthers the overarching plot a little faster than Season 1, I think, and you get quite a bit more character development from Ludo. Buff Frog gets a couple solo episodes, too, which is cool. And the latest episode, S02E14, was too crazy for words... so many things changed all at once. And I definitely feel like they're building up to SOMETHING, slowly but surely. TL;DR, the plot picks up a little in the second season, and while I definitely recommend you give it a second try, it's all a matter of taste, so I won't blame you if you decide to quit again.
  3. Does anyone else remember The Wacky World of Tex Avery? Not to be confused with Tex Avery's cartoons, of course. Here's the wiki page on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wacky_World_of_Tex_Avery At any rate, I can't find it here on Kametsu, or anywhere else. If anyone here can tell me where I might find it, that would be super awesome!
  4. What kind of cartoon is it? It sounds cool, but I've honestly never heard of it. Now I'm intrigued. Those are both going on my mental queue! Thanks for the additional suggestions! I've also heard good things about The Loud House, so I think I'll give that a look. Please read my list in the first post before recommending a cartoon! Star is actually one of my top 3 favorite cartoons of all time. Thanks, though, for thinking of it. Hmm, that actually gives me an idea... I'll be editing the first post later to incorporate this idea of mine.
  5. Watched this on Halloween! It's quite a piece of art. I loved it. I started watching it, and I finished Season 1 within a few days! (Which is impressive, considering how busy I am these days.) I'm now a handful of episodes into Season 2. This is a good one, thanks for the suggestion!
  6. a) I thought Bob's Burgers was an adult cartoon. Am I sorely mistaken? If I am, maybe I'll watch it. b) Never heard of Harvey Beaks or Over the Garden Wall. What are they about? c) I'm seriously considering Samurai Jack. I've heard a lot of good things about it. a) Please, no adult cartoons. Like I already said, I watch/have watched a handful (One of which WAS Futurama), but they're not my main interest. b) I've heard so many things about Teen Titans. I'm not much of a DC fan (I'm more into Marvel), but maybe I'll give it a try. c) Oh man, I remember Xiaolin Showdown! I totally forgot about that. I never really saw every episode when I was a kid, though, or else I would have remembered to include it on my list. Now I have GOT to go watch that. Thanks for the recommendations! I can't wait to hear more from other fellow cartoon fans.
  7. I've heard that show's name a few times before... sounds like I'll have to give it a shot. I'm pretty open-minded, so almost every cartoon I start, I end up liking. Just curious though, is it plot-driven in any way, or is it more of a directionless "daily shenanigans" kind of cartoon, or maybe a mix of both? I like any of those, but it'd be nice to know which one of those it is before jumping in.
  8. Little story here at the beginning... TL;DR further down. This post can also serve as a location for others to find cartoon suggestions; it's not just about me! I am OBSESSED with cartoons. It all started in June of 2015... I had watched cartoons before, of course, like any other person, but they had been few and far between, and none of them had really driven me to find more to watch. One day, my brother and I were bored, so we decided to watch something on Netflix. We saw Phineas and Ferb on the suggestion list, and on a whim, we pulled up the first episode. Because we didn't grow up with cable channels, neither of us had ever seen a single episode of this show. We watched a few episodes, got over our boredom, and went on with our day. But later, I decided to keep watching. By the end of the day, I was hooked, and I convinced my brother to keep watching too. But he takes his time watching shows, and that wasn't fast enough for me. Over the next 6 days, I discovered just how good I am at binge-watching. In less than a week, I watched all 222 episodes of Phineas and Ferb. When I was finally done... I was heartbroken. I couldn't find anything around me appealing, not even video games, which had been my go-to source of entertainment up until that point. The next day, I set out searching for another cartoon to fill the void. I found one right away: Gravity Falls. I fell in love with it right away, just like I did with P&F. It only took me 3 days to binge-watch all of Season 1 and all that there was of Season 2 (which, at that point, was still airing). I took a break from cartoons after that, aside from new episodes of Gravity Falls, but after the series finale, I decided it was high time I watched another cartoon. I started with some old classics, and since then I haven't really stopped. But a few days ago, I finished watching the final show on my list of cartoons I was interested in. Now I'm hoping to find more, but I'm not sure where to start. That's where you come in: I'd like to hear some suggestions of cartoons to watch! Below, I have a list of the cartoons I've watched so far (more or less in the order I watched them). This should give you an idea of what kinds of shows I'm looking for. TL;DR: I'm addicted to cartoons and want to watch more. Check out my list and tell me what I'm still missing out on. You can also tell me which of the ones on this list you've watched and liked, as a way for me and others to understand the context of your recommendations, and for others to get an idea of which ones are recommended by more people than just me. Shows that I have watched/am still watching: Jackie Chan Adventures The Last Airbender The Legend of Korra Phineas and Ferb Gravity Falls The Powerpuff Girls Dexter's Laboratory SpongeBob SquarePants* Adventure Time* Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends Regular Show Wander Over Yonder Star vs. the Forces of Evil* The Fairly OddParents* Danny Phantom Kim Possible Milo Murphy's Law* Shows that I've watched/started watching since this post: Over the Garden Wall The Amazing World of Gumball* Samurai Jack** Invader Zim Xiaolin Showdown The Loud House* The show I am currently watching: Courage the Cowardly Dog Shows that are on my radar: Ed, Edd, n Eddy Johnny Bravo Mucha Lucha (An old classic that I remember watching before, but it's been too long) My Life as a Teenage Robot T.U.F.F. Puppy The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy Johnny Test Harvey Beaks* Bunsen is a Beast* Teen Titans Shows that I do not recommend: The Powerpuff Girls (2016 Reboot)* Xiaolin Chronicles *Current show that is still airing new episodes **Canceled before, but coming back soon! Please do not suggest any anime or adult cartoons! I watch/have watched a few of both, but they're not my main interest.
  9. Cartoons often have pretty messed up episode orders, especially older ones (though there are still a few even nowadays that have ordering problems). When you start binge-watching a completed cartoon, which order do you prefer to watch episodes in? Please answer in the poll, but if you have some other kind of order you watch episodes in, feel free to select "Other" and voice it in a reply. Also, I've never done this sort of thing before, so I'm not sure if I can do this text and the poll all in one post, but it's worth a shot. If there's no poll, just reply, I guess. I myself am a die-hard "Official Wikipedia Order" kind of person. I find that I avoid continuity errors that way. (If any such continuity exists in the first place, that is.) It also makes sure I see episodes that I might otherwise miss for some reason.
  10. I watched Regular Show: The Movie a few weeks ago. Pretty funny stuff, at least if you're familiar with the series. I've seen every episode so far, including all the shorts.
