This forum is dead. Can't even get 10 people out of almost 43,000 to even nominate anything. I've been considering whether it's time to let it go. No discussions happen anymore.
I'll update the nomination list later and begin the poll, which will be lucky to see 20-30 votes probably.
Agreed. Content distro got so popular that the general population of the internet has found their way here (I mean, 43k isn't exactly a tiny small amount of people as it may seem at first glance), and with them a large amount of more undesirable users. I would say the user base can be split into 3 groups - the regrettably small fraction of good posters, beggars spamming things like"pLs spend YoUr money on things I WANT!?!? Lol xD?", and people who have accounts just for the distro, and don't thank, like or anything. *sigh*

I would just get a new mobo, probably an i5 cpu, upgrade RAM if it isn't DDR3. Might need to upgrade your PSU as well if you do this, but it'll keep it running. Your current GPU is def good enough, so keep that, just upgrade the CPU and anything else CPU specific.

Yeah, I can agree. All the greats have been replaced with background noise trash. YTV only airs crappy Dan "hold her tighter, she's a fighter" Schneider comedies now with the occasional good show like Harvey Beaks amongst the rest of the background noise "soooo randUMb l0L amirite?!?!guise!" tier trash. Teletoon has some good stuff, like Total Drama and occasional dubs, whenever they get done. Doesn't make up for trash like Johnny Test though - prime example of shit tier cartoons that I never liked, especially considering I was still a kid/part of the target audience when it first started. I remember just putting stuff on for the sake of putting it on all the time. Wish I kept on doing karate instead of quitting to do nothing all afternoon instead, oh well lmao.

Yeah, people steal stuff all the time. I don't think anyone really cares. If anything, you're the dick in this situation. What are you even gonna use the boat for? Grow up.

Simple. You don't. You apply, and if they don't want you they don't let you in. You have to have proof of good ratios (upload/download) on other private websites. Basically, you have to have credibility. If you have proof your a good member, you'll probably get in. I take it you didn't. It's a hit or miss kind of thing. All final decision rests on their opinion, since it's their private site.
TL;DR Nothing you can do. Oh well, move on.

Wouldn't work. How can you put language options on an almost 100% English speaking forum? A translation script? Seems pointless to me.

Nominating Mr. Kimiko, DawnShadow and Arian. All stand up guys. And props to you, Koby, for being a good admin!

Seems fun. Hope this blows up again!

Eh, I'm still in high school so I could go, but I might not. Don't know if any of my IRL friends would want to.

Just some good ol warm up deep dish pizza. Was surprisingly good if you ask me.

Gunman Clive 1 & 2 are good and cheap.
Adventure Time "Hey Ice King" and "Nameless Kingdom" are supposed to be good Zelda-like games, where as "Explore the Dungeon" is supposed to be shit.

Would have to go with Gangsta. Really like it so far, hopefully they can do a 2nd season within a timely fashion.

It's cool and all but the display is a lot fuzzier than I would expect from a $200-$400 device. Like a high res CRT. Then again, it was my first experience with VR when I tried it so maybe my expectations were too high. Huh.

Hey guys, apparently a new channel from Nickelodeon/Viacom called "The Splat" is in the works. It's programming is to be comprised of 90's cartoons and live series from the Nick back catalog. No info on any HD feeds or if the content will be old or new transfers. I mean, HD or not, I could totally go for new PDTVs of some Nick shows with lackluster DVDs/WEBDLs. Who else here is hyped?

Right then! I'll use Hola to make a trial account and GetFLV to download the show. I might make the trip to the local library though, considering I do need to use Hola.
-
I'm after an HD Copy of Viva Pinata and Hulu seems to be the spot. Will a cracked copy of GetFLV work? Or even just whatever sniffer/download solution I find works?
-
I'm thinking GetFLV for this one. If not that I'll try it with an RTMP sniffer and save it with ffmpeg or maybe through RTMPDump

Hey there,
So, I happen to be a big fan of the show "Catfish: The TV Show", and due to a lack of HQ rips out there, I decided to try and rip the episodes myself from MTV.ca, where they can all be streamed. However, I just can't figure out how to find the video stream to save/download. I think the site uses flash, so might that be why I can't figure it out? Anyways, I'd be very grateful if someone could give me a hand and see what I'm doing wrong here, and help me finally get a good rip of this. Here's an example as to what I'm trying to rip;
Thanks,

Just picked up the Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition disc for Gamecube. Complete in case and mint confition to top that. Paid $5 (!) Canadian dollars (!!!) for that one. I also grabbed a Apple Wireless Keyboard for $20. I don't really do Apple products tbh so I prolly shouldn't have but the price was right.

Hey guys! Pdoggy07 here, and I'm glad to be here. Really looking forward to talking my favorite shows and all with you lot. As for me, I'm a Canadian dude who grew up in the 00's. Watched stuff like Kids Next Door, Billy and Mandy, and whatever else they showed on Cartoon Network at the time. I watched a bit of anime back then, but right now I've really gotten into a few, like Cowboy Bebop, Dragon Ball etc. Anyways, I hope to see and talk to you all soon!
Thanks!

4K Media - Are you making the jump?

Hey guys. Recently got a 4K TV (as in about a year ago now), albeit it is an older model from 2014 or so. I know there isn't much actual 4K media out yet, but I've found some short films and nature stuff here and there that's looked amazing. Tears of Steel is a good tech demo, for those wanting to see what true 4K looks like on their 4K panels. I'm pretty excited for 4K BluRay though. I plan on getting The Martian, Sicario, Kingsman and The Peanuts Movie once I can get my hands on a player. Not sure if my TV can do HDR, but that shouldn't be an issue - pretty sure most 4K-BRs will have it as an option. Anyone else have any plans for 4K TVs or 4K BluRays? I'm afraid a lot of recent stuff will be upscaled, seeing as a lot of special effects for recent movies were delivered in 2K, such as The Maze Runner, and sadly, Kingsman iirc.
