If Koby made me a mod which I was at c-w forums I could remove those dupe posts

  3. About to drop five whole Canadian dollarinos on a rental of what may be the real 1080p WEBDL of The Iron Giant - Signature Edition. Got TunesKit installed, and the length checks out at 1:30:01. Wish me luck!

To keep the subs, download CCExtractor, change input to MP4, drag the .m4v file into it and start the process. It will spit out a .srt file and then all you have to do is mux that along with the video file into a .mkv container.

Oh, alright. I'll try and get the subs. I tried to watch with subs in iTunes, on the original rental, and I couldn't even get it to show up there, never mind work in TunesKit or MKVMerge or anything. I might go and re download it in 720p and or something, IDK. I have the movie and the 5.1 audio, which are the main necessities. No promises, but I'll try.

Just checked - they only had French and German subs to begin with. Plus I rented instead of buying it (at a 3rd of the price!) and I already deleted the original file, and apparently you can't re download rentals? Idk, whatever, I got the main event so it's all good. Expect it up on here via MEGA some time next week maybe? Generally soon.

  4. So, considering that the blurays for Gangsta probably won't get finished, anyone interested in dual audio copies from WEB/HDTV sources? I might be game if there's interest.

    1. PDoggy77

      PDoggy77

I'm thinking 720p raws for video and Japanese audio, Funi web for English audio and sign subs, and HorribleSubs to OCR and style/edit new soft subs in.

    2. Koby

      Koby

No need. Moodkiller is already doing Gangsta., and despite the JPBD likely not being finished, at some point FUNimation can and will release their own USBD for it to be completed. Until then, Moodkiller will likely finish off his release using the best options available for video and subs; so unless you just want to work on it, you could just let Moodkiller do his thing and put your time and effort into something else! ;)

    3. PDoggy77

      PDoggy77

Oh, OK. Didn't think Moodkiller was gonna finish his. Alright then, nm! Thanks Koby!

  5. Crap, my laptop's performance has gone way down the drain. Currently backing all my important stuff up so I can do a factory reset. I mean, encodes are taking about 6x as long as they did a month ago. If I want to get anything encoded anytime soon, I guess I better clear the bugger up.

  6. Saw Star Wars today. Great movie, solid 8.5/10. Similar to A New Hope, but it was different enough that I was still very entertained.

  7. So, If I want to burn some DVD9 ISOs I have to play in any old DVD player, does it matter whether I use DVD + or - R? Or are they only different in burning methods, and the same for playback?

I usually find a 100 pack of DVD-R for about $15 USD. While stores like Walmart and Best Buy sell the same pack for about $55. -_-

    3. PDoggy77

      PDoggy77

Where? I usually only buy name brand stuff since I don't keep ISOs after burning.

    4. Koby

      Koby

Usually Office Depot. As for brand, it differs: Philips, Memorex, Verbatim, etc... Just whatever they have cheap at the time. I use to use dvds for backing up things, but decided it was just as cheap and easier to swap out for better releases using lots of hard drives.

  8. Anyone know where I can find ISOs of the blue brick DVDs of Dragon Ball? Might need the audio for a maybe project ;)

      Message Clutchins. He has them.

I got em. A few years ago they were $8 a set brand new for Black Friday. Couldn't pass up the entire series of 153 episodes for $40.

  9. For anyone interested, the rest of my Samurai Jack Season 1 encodes are going up now. They'll be linked here soon.

    1. Gstack

      Gstack

Yes, what are you using to encode them?

    2. PDoggy77

      PDoggy77

Using Handbrake, with my own customized preset/settings. Came out better than any of the other options I had/tried, so I just stuck with it.

In case anyone here didn't hear the news, it's official - Gravity Falls is not coming back for a third season. Next two episodes, Weirdmageddon 2 and Weirdmageddon 3 will serve as the last. #GravityFinale
  11. Hey. Accidentally double posted my Clone High topic in Cartoons/Animation. Can you delete one of the two for me please? (or implement the ability to delete content pls)

  12. Going to watch The Peanuts Movie soon. Heard some good things about it, pretty excited. Anyone else seen it/going to/planning to see it?

  13. So, how do I watch Evangelion? So far, I plan on watching 1-20, 21-24', 25-26, EoE, D&R. Is this the right order?

After that watch the rebuild. It moves in a different direction starting with the 2nd part.

  14. Just rented some DVDs of The Office UK, only to find half the episodes at 1.77:1 the other half at 1.78:1. Wanted to encode them, gonna have to try and find the PAL DVDs now.

  15. Spent the afternoon in the Greek part of town. Found a nice lil used bookstore, picked up Samurai Jack - The Premiere Movie for $5. Pretty rare disc, and while it may just be an edit of Episodes 1-3, this specific DVD is special in that it has an awesome 5.1 surround mix. Definitely worth it!

  16. Working on dual audio Pokemon Origins rn, AviDemux is a dream, super smooth and easy to use. Recommend it to anyone who needs to seperate/append video and encode in the same job. It might replace Handbrake as my go to batch, it's that good.

  17. Can anyone rip Yo-Kai Watch from DisneyXD.com for me? The guy ripping them on KAT is asking for iTunes credit, even though he isn't ripping WEB-DLs.

      What's the link, nigga? I can't find it. >:(

  18. Goof Troop, Samurai Jack, Azumanga Daioh and One Piece 4Kids all coming soon.

I was thinking of doing FMA '03 and Ducktales but because FMA has a BD and Ducktales requires some stuff I can't do, I'm not sure I'll bother with either of them.

  19. Huh. Turns out M*A*S*H airs on History Canada in HD. Season 1 finishes syndication today. Might start PVRing the episodes to cap them once I get a good card.

    1. DawnShadow.

      DawnShadow.

Please tell me you don't mean cropped 16:9 :(

    2. PDoggy77

      PDoggy77

Nope. It's in the original 4:3 frame. I haven't been the DVDs so I don't know if the DVDs are just really good or the HD feed is a proper good upscale/re scan. I'll see if I can get an example to compare it with.

Oh, that's pretty cool then :D

  20. One of my dogs passed away today. He was only 6 years old. Happened completely out of the blue. Might be in hiatus for now. Just need some time.

Thanks guys. I was thinking maybe heartworm could have done it since we missed a month but that stuff takes about 7 months to mature anyways.

In the last couple years he started getting scared of thunderstorms and walking on tile and his temperment got kind of strange, so I'm thinking that it was a heart attack or a brain aneurysm.

So sorry for your loss. My dalmatian passed away when I was 12 so I can relate to your pain.

  21. Wow, South Park's S19 premiere was amazing. Best episode in years. Totally worth a watch.

  22. @Torrent2DDL cool. Thanks a lot, love the site for stuff with too few seeds for my connection. Thanks again!

  23. Hey guys. I'm gonna be taking a break from encoding for a bit. One of my dogs is having some health issues, and I need to take care of her before anything else. Sorry, I'll be back soon guys.

  24. Soooo ready for Fan Expo Canada tomorrow! Any rare stuff I should look for? Not doing any events this year so I'll have some time.

  25. Just ordered a new laptop. Running W7-Pro with an i5-2520M, 4GB RAM (1 stick so I can throw in another 4GB stick for 8GB RAM) and a Quadro NVS with 512MB RAM. I know it's old but before I was on a Core 2 Duo/Radeon combo from the Vista era, so this should be quite the upgrade (was using an i3-2xxx/HD 3000 for encodes)! Only cost $317 all in, so it seems to be quite the deal.
