    >before the upgrade

You mean way back in August? They haven't been around since then.

Been downloading from them just this Sunday 10/25, just like I was doing it the entire month of September and October through Kametsu IRC channel. I’ve accessed their channel directly and it stated they’ve got upgrade in progress so, I assumed it was part of Kametsu upgrade. I guess it wasn’t.

  2. To some extant I could agree that it’s there to attract more clients but, nowadays I’m starting to think that it’s a standard for Japanese anime. That thought came to my mind after a friend of mine asked me to come up with a list of some good action/adventure anime with good story plot and no fanservice or any type of ecchi in it. Needles to say, I had a very difficult time with that one.

I highly recommend One Piece, Bleach, Attack on Titan, FMA Brotherhood, Hunter X Hunter, and Fairy Tail. My all time faves will always be DBZ and Naruto. If you also decide to start reading manga, you might wanna try Tokyo Ghoul. In my opinion the manga is much better than the anime.

My fav will always be dbz and naruto too. Those are the only ones I have ever seen all the way through, I am finally starting to open up my variety. I was thinking of starting to get into managa. I will have to give tokyo ghoul a look. Where do you read manga from? I will only do it if its free. I would also love to have it on my phone or at least ipad.

You can read manga on mangafox.me, mangashare.com and manga.animea.net, though I don’t think you should read it on your phone unless you plan to use magnifying glass while you’re at it. As for the anime recommendations, if you’ve liked DBZ than you will enjoy Yu Yu Hakusho. Another one that no one else have mentioned yet is Rurouni Kenshin.

And i dont like things that can be easily damaged. I would buy download and figure a way to back up my copies like http://www.kaleidescape.com/

If you don't treat your DVD's horribly they should last you. Just don't let anyone but you touch them. I haven't broken one or over scratched one yet since the day I got my first one.

It's also easier than ever to make backup copies and use those discs instead.

I have included the constraints of money...even I haven't yet buyed any anime(No availablity in my country+I don't earn just yet) but damn I want to have those discs when I have the amount.

The thing is you don’t have to pay $100 for a 13 episode anime as your poll asks and I would never do that, I shop around for a better price. You can get it on sale, on clearance, or preowned for a lot less. As a matter of fact, if you go to animecastle.com they sell new DVDs of 24 episode anime for around $25 and $50 for Blu-ray.

As for myself, I download and watch it, if I like it I buy it and if I hate it I won’t even bother finishing it.

  5. Not sure which dub you watched, but according to the wiki page for that show, there are two English dubs. The first by ADV was rewritten as a "black comedy" for western audiences. Then in 2005, Animax released an English dub more directly translated. So if you saw the original dub, you could probably try the new dub and see if it's better instead of reading subs.

It was ADV version and I would disagree with their sorry excuse that they changed it for the western audience, it was more like a cross between Family Guy and South Park type of humored which in my opinion sounded more like they made a joke of the whole thing. I never knew that Animax did their dub version of this one. There is just one big problem with Animax dubs, trying to find their version in good quality is a real challenge. I’ve been searching for Black Jack the TV series for quite some time with no luck.

  6. My preference is dub but some dubbings are so horrible that I’ll watch sub instead. A good example will be Ghost Stories, it sounded more like someone was really bored or had no clue how to translate so he/she was just making stuff up based on the pictures instead of actually translating the plot. Now, I don’t even want to watch it in subs because the dubbing was that bad.
