I am very sure you obviously don't know how badass paper is
-
mmm just 3 hours, i could have done a lot better i started hating it around Vegeta's transformation. I needed the whole anime to make it right so nothing fits to the song really. These are just the converted files I had left over from my last amv. At lest im getting used to pure fight amvs
Spent about the same amount of time
although if you use mediacoder, I extracted h264 files out of my mkvs with mkvextract and converted with mediacoder 6 eps took about 20 mins so if you did an overnight deal...

What is real? How do we define real? If real is merely what you can see, smell, or touch, then real is simply electrical impulses interpretted by your brain. (I know, I probably screwed the quote up. But I don't care, it's been many years since I watched that movie)
I see we have a matrix man! However, the matrix did nothing to prove one's existence either as once you got out of the dream world the robots had created how do you know that world is real? It's more like inception where you had to prove you weren't in a dream. Except you have no totem. The trick in this situation is finding an unchanging point to reference in order to prove/define reality. Good quote!

I can only prove that I exist to myself but I can't prove it to anyone else but even then you can't believe me because I can't prove that I exist to you.
the same line of logic applies to everything. you can't prove that individual things exist without proving the whole, because if you exist than you can know. And if you can know and you do know there has to be things to know. In other words, something can't exist in a nonexistant place. So if you can't prove it to anyone else you can't prove it at all.

I may be wrong but if we are all messed up then does that mean none of us are? For example, if we are all evil then we are all good as well. These black and white positions only exist to describe the 'other' faction. Who I would consider evil most likely considers themselves good.
not if there is a fixed standard of good to compare one's self to
in light of the good I am evil is the conclusion one would come to
so, no, they aren't the same thing

I am not too sure about the validity of this but someone commented it to me on deviantART. He was showing me that it is possible you can prove something doesn't exist. There is an empty table with nothing on it. An old man says to another man that there is a box on it and describes what it looks like. He then points to where it is and tells the man to pick it up but it isn't there. Thus proving that a box doesn't exist there.
You can't prove anything if you first don't prove your own existance, because you don't have a mind to come to any conclusions and process any information because you don't exist. In your example, no, you wouldn't have seen that comment on deviantart. You don't exist, silly. Prove to me that you exist first and then I'll accept that argument
-
Well this may be a bit irrelevent but there is a difference between someone mudering me and them trying then failing.
Finally, getting hurt is a punishment I will gladly accept if my actions come down to it. I always weigh every single possibility and the most beneficial is the one I will take.
considering all possibilities if the consequences of your actions may result in eternal punishment, then isn't it in your best interest to avoid that outcome at all costs or will you gladly accept it? Since you weigh EVERY possibility you can't leave this one out. It is definately most beneficial for you to avoid eternal punishment, as well, no matter how small the possibility in your own mind, because it is the worst possible outcome. If your entire life you weighed every single possibility and always took the most beneficial one how is it possible you end up with the worst form of suffering? And if you by some stroke of bad luck, end up in that situation that means you did not choose the possibility that was most beneficial. So either you're stuck with a conflicting viewpoint of avoiding what hurts and getting what hurts, or you choose the most beneficial viewpoint of ACTUALLY avoiding what hurts.

all 10... think about it, that about sums it up
the entirety of humanity, not just the "bad people", is messed up
I'm no exception
-
To me, I could care less what the universal right or wrong is. I only care about what feels good, and what hurts.
If everyone came to that conclusion would you be okay with someone murdering you? If someone wanted to they would and that's not in your best interest. You have to have rules and organization to maintain order. In this case what feels good directly effects what hurts. Meaning you do whatever you want and you'll get hurt.

'Cogito Ergo Sum', there's my answer.
YES! if you took my hint you took it well. However, I have some problems with this philosophy. Des Carte's line of thought goes as such. He looks at the world with a skeptical view and says, attempting to string a chain of absolute truth, that if there is one thing he cannot doubt it is that he is doubting(thinking). And because he is doubting(thinking) there must be a doubter. However, this line of thought presupposes he has a mind and logic to come to this conclusion. In order to prove he has a brain to think with he has to prove his own existence first. If he didn't have a brain to process information, he can't doubt it (or think). Therefore, unfortunately, this line of thought is invalid. That was a good answer, however, one of the best one would be able to think of in an extemporaneous situation, as people have spent lifetimes thinking about this. So if we cannot know, for a fact, that we exist without presupposing it ourselves, how can we know anything? In what situation could we know something for certain without presupposing it?

Proving that one exists is similar to how religious people prove that their god exists.. Ask someone else to prove that you don't. If they can't, then you must. Not true, if they don't exist then how can they prove you don't. That's just irrational. You must remove all reasonable doubt, brushing the problem under the rug and saying well I can't think of anything doesn't prove anything.

Where do morals come from? Why should we listen to them? What is to keep us from doing right/wrong? What if your opinion of right and wrong is different than someone else's? Who's right? What if all of society has a different opinion than you? Who's right?
Some questions for you to think over
-
1. Human compassion is a double edged sword. It makes us fight for survival, but it makes us want to put value on all human life. The problem with this, is that not ALL life has value. Value in the idea of survival as a species, not value as in value of individuals. We need to STOP putting value on all human life, as not all humans are worth keeping alive.
without human compassion, you would have been aborted your mother went through hell to give birth to you and she could have just killed you before you came out
2. Survival of the fittest, why are humans exempt from it? Why are mentally retarded people kept alive? And if you were retarded? what constitutes whether someone should live or not? Will you decide that?. What if that eliminates so much of the human race that the population dwindles and it can no longer sustain itself?
3. Prisons need a major overhaul. Get rid of television, libraries, weight rooms, everything except food, water and a cell.If they come out the way they went in and kill you not my fault
4. Religion must be abolished. How can we hope to move forward to a more logical and advanced future, when people are going to insist on being stuck in the past? Can you prove to me that religion isn't saving mankind? Can you prove that it is false? This presupposition that the only rational people are not religious is preposterous. You haven't proven anything. Also, if evolution is true, then religion came about as evolution, and as the human mind evolves it will die off eventually. No need to worry your system is flawless (except its accuracy).
5. Drop some issues. Does gays marrying really matter that much in a time where the US is at war, and the UK recieving terrorist attacks? It depends on your morals? where do they come from? obviously yours come from your own deluded mind. How can you prove that your mind is an adequate authority on this issue?
6. Some people should not be allowed to have children, and we have a limit on how many you may have. We have way too many people.based on what? more children means more ingenuity and inventiveness. we can learn to use are resourses more wisely. Evolution has room for that doesn't it?
7. Abortion is legal, why would you want people who can not raise children bringing more into the world? Not every ejaculation needs a name.you obviously should have been hacked to pieces
8. I understand this violates some human rights, but in reality we have none.privelages given by whom? the most powerful human? than we all squabble for that position and kill everyone off and thermonuclear war. Good one.
Don't come after me because I'm not afraid of progress.progress? this takes us back to the stone age anarchy kind of violence. If it succeeds, all you can hope for is an awful dictatorship with much of the human race gone. That's optimism.

Even if there was no law against it I would still think it bad, honestly... I would not wish being raped as a child on anyone... but if you had been you would not be asking fucked up questions.
It is bad because it is wrong, there is a chemical imbalance in the brains of people who think that what they are doing to children is right. ( you may want to get tested for this).
I didn't say I didn't think it was wrong. I believe that every offender deserves to be punished forever. Infinitely worse than the punishment you described. But that's my opinion. All I'm trying to do is getting people to examine their morals and question what's right and what's wrong. If there is no set list of rules, then anything is thereby permissible. Like I said if everyone got raped as a child and it was a common practice society would tell you its not wrong. You're relying on an instinct of right and wrong. I could give an explanation for this instinct, but I merely want you to question your own morals first rather than me shoving the answers down your throat. I know the questions seem insensitive and I'm terribly sorry. This is a messed up topic. I'm sorry that you or anyone else had to go through any of this. But in a world bound up by the rule of society how can you know this is wrong?

Nothing you do is worth anything no idea you think of, no action you perform
If you commit suicide tomorrow, it won't matter and those people crying for you will be dead soon too
Why does man try to advance? there's no point
and why post this thread it only makes you consider the inevitable
that is all to say "if death is the end"
-
Why do I think that? Because I was abused when I was growing up, do you know how much SCARS that can leave on a person?
I have had to work really hard to be the person I am today and not become a cynical bitch. there are body image issues as well I had to work through, and trying to forgive that sick and twisted **** for taking away my innocence.
I was abused from the age of 6 to 11, my own MOTHER chose to ignore what was happening to me.
THAT is why they should be put on an island THAT is why it is wrong to look/touch a child.
I'm sorry to hear that but it looks like you didn't read the previous posts
what makes it bad? your pain? what makes your pain bad? Why should you keep your innocence? what's the point? What are you today? Why is being a cynical batch bad?
point is, despite all the pain it brought you, pain, emotions, and morals are easily manipulated. In a society where abuse and child pornography are accepted and everyone got abused when they were young how would you know that its bad? What makes it bad, ultimately?
If there is nothing that makes it bad except society telling you it is, then in a different society where other things are bad that are common practice now, we'd be considered the evil people, and it may be us on that lonely island
-
Child pornography is wrong in my opinion simply because that is how this world views it. I will admit that if nobody thought it was wrong then I probably wouldn't either.
so you aren't any different than a child pornographer
You may like to play baseball and the child pornographer doesn't...
In a society where baseball is taboo you'd be in the same shoes because there is no ultimate standard to compare your actions to
so either no one is sick and all should be allowable, or everyone is sick and no one can do good

I don't believe i got the question right. Can you for instance bring an example of something that does exist indeed, so that i can use it in my answer?
Pretty a broad variety of possibilities for a simple illusion, isn't it.
If I brought in something that DOES exist that would ruin the punch line

just because something is complex doesn't prove that it's not an illusion in and of itself... you have to be able to KNOW, you know what I mean?
You guys are thinking and thats good but there was someone who attempted to prove this in the past... maybe they can inspire your thinking more...
-
my question is how do you all know it's wrong (not that I'm saying its not it's one of the most perverse things imaginable) but where do you get all these answers? Society told you its wrong but if you wanted to watch it than why wouldn't you? What makes this wrong and what's the root of what's behind it? What makes you different than people who watch it if you don't?

I post just to prove you wrong

If this world is an illusion and nothing is really happening would you be able to tell? Is this reality or is it a false one? How do you know?
You can just share your opinion or take the challenge of proving to me that you exist, if you like.
Can you prove your own existence?

Okay, once again, you can't prove your own existence through complexity/things around you. If you can't prove that your mind exists in which you process all of this information then that would be a possible explanation but there are much better arguments to go off of once you prove your own existence. However, unless you prove that your mind exists you can't talk to me based on logic or life experience. What logic? You don't exist, silly. Your memories? What memories?
I personally believe that this is reality and this world exists, but no one has come up with a valid argument without presupposing their own existence. I'm not telling you, you don't exist. It's just a good thing to think through because if you don't know you exist nothing matters, and there is no truth. You can't know anything. And that's just bad
