    • 1TB HDD (64.9GB free)
    • 2TB External (24.8GB free)
    • 256GB SSD (28.75GB free)

SSD main purpose is for games, but does have some spillage of movies that were on my 1TB in the past; 1TB is predominately used for storage of movies and TV shows, as well as real-time downloads, pictures, documents, etc; 2TB external is for all my anime and a backup of all my pictures, important documents, game ISOs, and a little spillage of movies.

At this time, I really need a big 4-6TB drive for mass storage of my movies, tv shows, as they take up a lot of space. I've actually had to delete TV shows that I've downloaded (always in 1080p) after I've watched them to make room for new content, and if I download a game, I play it and then uninstall it. I can't just let things sit.

Even though my total space dedicated to shows, movies etc is 3TB, I've probably downloaded and deleted an additional 3TB. If I got a bigger drive, I would download all that stuff again for archive purposes.

  2. Then get out of here Maverick!

What if I said a dodo bird is still alive?

I'd make preparations for the capture and consumption of the creature(s).

What if I said you can go back in time and redo everything from the beginning, but you have to give up your sight?

  3. Zankyou No Terror -

Shocking ending, at least for me, another good series over, time flies.

    Mushishi Zoku Shou Special -

Really dark tone to this one compared to the others, losing your soul just to be a zombie hunting mushi. Can't wait for the next season!

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders

Great adaption, better than the OVA long ago.. so many awesome moments, great action.

All I have left from Summer 2014 is Akame ga Kill Sword Art Online II.

I just finished Zankyou no Terror. It was your comment that convinced me to finish the last three episodes I'd put off watching. I don't know whether it was your words that influenced my guess on the ending, or a conclusion I would've come up with on my own, but I kept thinking:

"When are they going to die?" I almost thought they weren't going to; I wouldn't say that it was hugely shocking. If he'd been shot suddenly, without warning, then I would've been caught off guard, but we knew the instant the American's reared their heads again, that they were dead, and that bomb at the nuclear plant was a bluff; they're not killers.

  4. Then I'm about to commit a lot of crimes and indulge every fantasy I've ever had, and then I'm going back to 'sleep' for good.

What if I said I can't think of a what if question, because I think they're somewhat pointless and only serve as a tease to the reality of which you desire?

    1. A Certain Magical Index - Honestly, I was rather disappointed with this series. I don't know if it's a bad adaptation or just bad source material, but the 'plot' felt forced and emotionally manipulative at times, as well as not really going anywhere. By the end of the series, I only just felt like perhaps the actual series was starting. The characters got hardly any development at all and when I thought about it, it felt like a harem show in some ways-- as far as I'm aware, this show isn't intended to have a harem aspect. I couldn't bring myself to the idea of watching A Certain Magical Railgun. In the end, I was glad it was over and I could move onto something else.

  5. it just needs more cowbell

also needs a setting in profile config to hide online status because i would just LOVE that.

I'm new, but you're a curious fellow based on what I've seen and read. I would deny that request just to irk you.

  6. Seriously the manga is that different? Might check it out cuz honestly the show just seemed bland to me. What did you like about it Koby?

I took a quick skim of the manga up until where the anime stopped. The content is relatively the same. They've cut out some of the explicit content and some backstory; added in their own content here; changed the flow of how events take place, but overall, as far as I've read so far, overall, everything that it's in the manga, happens in the anime with a bit of censorship here and there.

I'd still read it, as the dialogue is slightly different and there's a little more back story to some characters that fleshes them out a tiny bit more.

Something that I've learnt from reading the manga that I find most surprising is that there's a seven year age gap between Ryota & Himiko, 22 and 15 respectively.

  7. Personally, I loved it. It couldve done with a few more episodes to really flesh out the story but in terms of pure action, it was very entertaining. And of course, the soundtrack was godly xD

This is true, but I wish they'd at least fleshed out the main male protagonist's--see, I can't even remember his bloody name, but oh I can remember f******** Slain's name--, fleshed out the main male protagonist's character a little more.

    Even if he

gets killed in the end, at least it would've made his death more agreeable. It felt like his entire existence, this being a stand-alone anime, was to further the plot and yet it felt like they really wanted us to feel something during that crawling scene. I don't feel sorry for a cow's death; I feel sorry for its' reason for existence, and that is what he felt like, cattle born to be slaughtered, but they still wanted us to feel emotionally attached to him, which is ironic considering he's virtually emotionless as it is. Sorry, rant over.

    • Akame ga Kill - It's my AotS for Summer 2014. I've enjoyed this more than any other anime this season. Animation is good, characters slightly archetype, but the action makes up for it.
    • Sword Art Online II - I was suprised to hear this is, again, a 24 episode season, but I honestly don't know what they're going to do for the second half of the season.
    • A Certain Magical Index - I'm up to Ep. 10 I think; even at this point, I don't know what this series is trying to be, but it feels like it trying to hard. I'm enjoying it, but I have no sense of purpose so far.
I'm really liking Akame ga Kill myself too. Pretty generic, but it's a fun generic. It was actually not something I had planned to pick up from the initial previews and season previews, but ended up picking it up when some friends recommended it so it was a pleasant surprise.

SAO2, well their is another arc after GGO in which Asuna is actually the main character from what I'm told. So I'm pretty sure that's what will happen during the second cour seeing that the GGO appears to be coming to a close soon.

*nods* Yes, yes. Very much fun. The sudden 180 during the final quarter of the the first episode of Akame ga Kill was a [pleasant] surprise. I liked that it didn't mind getting its' hands dirty; I liked there wasn't any hesitation in his slash. I was hooked from there.

Now that you mention it, I do vaguely recall the second part of the season, as I read the plot of the light novels a while ago, but I won't do myself the disservice of spoiling it by re-reading it now.

    1. I know I'm being greedy, but perhaps avatar increased to 200kb?

    2. I support Live-Action idea; support general concept of exclusive/hidden content.

I support the idea of Light-novels, but only the highest quality and only novels they can't be officially bought in English.

Feature so you can choose to notify someone that they've been mentioned by name-- not saying every time you type their name it will happen - it's a choice--, and they'll get a PM or something; like the Facebook feature. It'd potentially help with get users more involved, especially if their input is specifically requested.

I know this may just be me, but some form of restriction or requirement to make Requests? I know it's our choice to help them, but it does irk me seeing people (leechers) registering on here, just to have us find them what they want and then they pop off.

Again, this is just me, but maybe an auto-deletion of inactive accounts under a specifc post count, with a one-week email notification warning to log back in?

    1. I just increased it from 50kb to 150kb. o.o -> :'(

    4. Would be nice to use the @Username for this, but unfortunately this would require more coding knowledge than I have. Would be nice to have some more code devs on the team. Otherwise maybe this will end up a feature in in IPBv4.

    5. Use to have a higher postcount needed to make requests. Could possibly reimplement this.

    6. Wouldn't this just make people constantly create new accounts and spam the SeeD Hallway every week with their new account?

Firstly, thank you kindly for addressing my point so promptly.

    1. I know, I know. I did say I was being greedy, yes?

    2. It's time like these I wish I'd learned to code; I will put the idea in my back pocket for now.

I personally think it would be a good idea. Some of their requests take a little bit of effort in research, or time/quota data depending on what they're asking for. I feel such an ability should be a privilege of the valued members; particularly the active members who contribute to the longevity of this forum.

Well, if you deleted their accounts that quickly, of course, but I was more thinking a quarterly clean up? If they haven't logged on in 3 months, their account is deleted, with warning one week prior to log in; excluded from cleanup if account is above X amount of posts. Then, for example, if you're above X (25), but below Y (50), you will be deleted after 6 months; continuing that sort of escalation until you're 100 posts, from you're only get a reminder if you're inactive for an entire year. ; this whole scheme would only apply to a Crusader.

On a side note, if the colour of my font is causing issues. Koby, I'm willing to use the default colour.

  10. For personal reasons, I actually only recently started using this username. I will not mention my prior names.

I chose this name, because when I speak verbally, people have noted my main way of communicating is through questions. I articulate myself better through a keyboard.

  11. As it is Sunday, my entire house is on lockdown; all rollershutters are down; my room airconditioned to 21C and my house is echoing viking metal.

I checked the local forecast for today online. Apparently it's a beautiful warm sunny day at 29C--we haven't had such in months--, outside with a bit of wind, due to living along the coast.

  12. Personally, if they're completely green to the anime world, I don't volunteer to be their inductor. If they're interested, I try to see what they know and if they're any anime that they're curious about, so that if they a have bad first experience, it was more of their own idea than my own.

So far, if they haven't had any idea where to start, I've pointed them towards Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It hasn't failed yet.
