  1. well so far there is not enough material to follow the manga properly anyway even if they did try lol. Also from what I've heard madhouse might be taking over but not sure if its true.

It wasn't true, that was from an Anime Maru article (animemaru.com).  They write parody stuff, basically an Onion but for anime.  They are hilarious though you should check them out.

  2. Out of the stuff I watched, Gangsta. is the clear winner, though Durarara!!x2 Ten is probably the best season of that franchise yet.  Also Koby, one of the things I've seen frequently that leads to forum stagnation is too much splitting up of discussion.  Try consolidating the least active subforums into the larger ones.  It means faster boards, which encourages people to post.

  3.

It might be hard to have a clear line on what is the correct resolution for certain anime [...]

Not might. It will be near impossible. Unless you have a source from the production studio, it is hard to definitely deduce what is an upscale and what isn't. Oh, and don't forget that the userbase wants small, compressed encodes.

Of course you could just say 'x downscaled to 720p then upscaled to 1080p looks the same as the original so why not'.

Besides that... Who's going to maintain this to-be thread? They'd have to download and do convincing screenshots of releases from the various regions.

And what about the 'newbie encoders'? It's not like they bother to research potential sources for their encodes now, so what will it teach them? How to be even lazier and plop out another CBM/E-D level encode?

Sorry if this is off-topic, but if you don't mind me asking, what exactly is wrong with CBM and E-D?  As far as I am aware, their work is just fine, perhaps not archive-level quality but at that point you're better off with the ISO.

  4. Yo,

I've been swinging around torrent RSS recently and it's working pretty solidly, the only problem is I have to keep seeding stuff.  I have a tendency to screw around with files once I get them though, which naturally means they take up more space.  However some of the stuff I was looking at seems to have MEGA options as well, in folders that are updated weekly.  So I was wondering if there was anyway to keep track of these folders and automatically download any new files that are uploaded to them?  I have MEGAdownloader, if that helps.

    Much obliged //
