  1. For my fellow citizens, I’ve been working on an independent study for my political science major. As part of that study, I’m conducting a survey to see how people consume news online. It would be great and really helpful to get the participation of the Kamestu community. If you’re interested, just click this link: https://qtrial2014.az1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_3ER2cJGVmDgrbrT Thanks! And I hope this encourages some debate.
  2. Currently reading: An Introduction to Political Philosophy (college requirement) Will read next: A Clash of Kings (hopefully, given how much I've procrastinated finishing this novel)
  3. ^When I saw this thread title, those were the two choices that came to mind first, so kudos! Regarding Batman vs Superman, I'm skeptical as well or maybe cautiously optimistic? My rational is the same as yours though: "Hey, it's Batman." The influence the Dark Knight Returns is having on this movie is encouraging.
  4. I finished season one not too long ago and I agree that it's a great show. It's crazy, evokes some deep thought and of course is hilarious. "You shall now call me Snowball, because my fur is pretty and white." For those interested, this article remarks on the show's potential and examines its place with respect to other animated series: http://splitsider.com/2014/04/rick-and-morty-bobs-burgers-and-american-dad-three-cartoons-at-three-stages-of-life/ Adult Swim definitely has another hit on their hands. I cannot wait for season 2
  5. For newer series, based on manga, there's this sense of disappointment because there's no real resolution to the story. This is understandable as these series inevitably outpace their source material and as a result get picked up for a finite episode count (e.g. 13-26 episodes).

    Hey!

Obviously I'm a new member here (if you don't believe me just take a look at the post count lol). I stumbled upon this forum through my search of an explanation as to what happened to Cartoon-World. It's a little bit surreal that it no longer exists. In any case, I'm glad to have found another forum that embodies a similiar intent. Looking forward to getting to know the regulars on Kamestu. -Cris
