  1. Not it, sadly. It wasn't a mech anime at all. It wasn't really even futuristic--no robots that I recall. I wish I could remember much else. AFAIR, one of the main characters was a girl with long, black, hair and the male MC is a high school student. It would have been 26 episodes or less but I couldn't give an exact count. Edit: Found it. Probably mixing in things from somewhere else, though. I was thinking of the Interlude OVAs http://myanimelist.net/anime/1085
  2. I'm guessing that's a negative. It's seriously bugging me though; I've gone through 400-some series in my collection and can't find anything like it, but I still can't shake the feeling that I've seen it.
  3. I buy in small bulks--like 10 to 20 at a time, usually an entire series to current if there aren't too many volumes. Before that, though, I abuse the free previews from Amazon's Kindle delivery or stop by the local-ish Barnes & Noble (I don't buy there; they're too expensive.) If I think I like the series from what I have read, I'll buy new copies from Rakuten or Half.com or good used copies from Ebay if there is a good deal on them. I have a few digital versions of ones that I couldn't find in print, but I mostly just buy hard copies. I've never bought one without at least seeing the cover and a few pages since I am particular about art style. The only one I've ever bought that I was formerly familiar with was Loveless... since the anime adaptation leaves it hanging like... half way through the serialization.
  4. I feel like I've seen the plot-line before, but I can't, for the life of me, remember from where. Forgive me if it isn't even an anime... or real at all; I could have dreamed it in a fit of anime deprivation. If you do know where it is from, though, I would greatly appreciate the help. As I can recall, it is something of a romantic drama set in a, basically, empty city that the protagonist can't escape (the train returns to the same place that it left.) In the end, the protagonist wakes up (or appears) in a global desert and starts following a set of footprints in the sand... That's really about all I can remember of it. Does anyone know of something like this or should I ask the doctor to prescribe anti-psychotics?

    Hello!

Hello everyone! I've made my way over here from MiniTheatre, which has become something of a disappointment in the DA/Dub sections lately. After some non-intensive searching and poking about I found Kametsu... honestly, I couldn't tell you how, but it looks very promising. I am heavily engrossed by anime but activity is questionable; I do partake in discussions that aren't repeats of the same things I've seen again and again. I also do occassional re-encodes, if I have the time avaiable and the urge to compress the contents of my hard drives. My top five anime... ehmmm... That's very hard to decide. I think I would always have to put Rurouni Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, and Nabari No Ou very high on my list of tops, but I would also have to say .hack//Sign, Mushi-shi, Baccano!, Ouran Host Club, Black Butler, Chrno Crusade, Code Geass, Death Note... I'll stop there, but those and many more would also be held in very high regards. I couldn't stop at five. As video games go, the answer is just as indefinite. I play and have played many MMORPGs as well as console games. The best two, by far, that I have ever played, though they aren't strictly two games and definitely greater than five, are Star Ocean and Final Fantasy. My other hobbies are woodworking (I build furniture and other sorts of handiwork,) drawing, fictional writing, singing (and parody writing,) and tinkering with electronics. I'm not into graphic design, though.
