Argh...just finished Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. Second time I've cried about an Anime (First being the death of Maes Hughes). I feel so un-manly.

-
For me it changes a lot. First it was Death Note, then FMA:Brotherhood, then Black Lagoon. But I have to say that my all time favorite series that I keep going back to is Code Geass (+ R2).

Just finished Blade of the Immortal. I do not recommend this anime.
This show does have a good story, but has trouble telling it. It has no flow. The fight scenes are average, and the end of the fights are predictable. Rin as a character had potential, and it showed in the final 2 episodes, but for the first 11 episodes she had an unlikable personality. The ending was horrid, it felt as if it was leading up to a big confrontation/fight with the antagonist switching sides. But it just ended, no season 2, just nothing.
However, the show was not completely bad, episodes 9-12 were quite good and were episodes that actually left me wanting more. And the antagonist (Anotsu) was a great character.
5/10 for me.

I am currently learning Japanese. I used to learn it during Primary school and when I was in high school I had the choice of going on with Japanese or German, I chose German as it was a class you could stuff around in. I very much regret most of my years in high school, and now I attend two 1 hour classes a week learning Japanese.
I also plan to make a trip to Japan someday.

Well other than possibly a reboot of Soul Eater with the proper ending, I would be happy with another season of Claymore.
-
Blade of the Immortal. Pretty average, and is quite predictable.

Gantz Second Stage episode 13 (end).
-
Gantz Second Stage. I think it was great, my only problem was the last couple of episodes as it felt like constant yelling at each other. Also the ending was weird. Nevertheless, the positive strongly outweigh the negatives. I give this a 9/10.
Edit:
Just watched Ninja Scroll (the movie). I thought it was very good, I liked the fight scenes, they weren't dragged out too long but some of them were too short though, I liked the ending a lot as well. 8/10.

Gantz Second Stage, this is definitely better than the last season. I love this show.
-
Gantz Second Stage episode 8. After seeing this, MIND = BLOWN. So much killing, I'm going to bed, this is too much awesomness at once.
-
Deadman Wonderland episode 4, and also Gantz Second Stage episode 6.
Just watched Deadman Wonderland episode 4. I fell asleep. It's starting to become so boring now. There's so much dialogue. Uninteresting dialogue.I disagree, I think that this episode was important to the story. I would imagine the next episode will have a lot more action in it as Ganta will be fighting that guy (can't remember his name off the top of my head). Also, now we know that there are more with the same powers other than the red man and Ganta.
-
Haven't cried to any, but these were the closest that I have come to.
Fullmetal Alchemist - death of Hughes.
Gantz - Death of Nichi
-
Black Lagoon
Gantz
Baccano!
-
They generally have the same meaning, just worded differently.

Gantz episode 13.

Just finished Gantz. I thought it was awesome. I saw some posts that people made about it being mindless gore and nudity (even going as far as to say its borderline hentai). I really don't see that in this, sure you see some tits and it is no more gory than a hell of a lot of other anime I have seen.
I really loved this anime, and can't wait to watch Gantz: Second Stage. I will rate this a 9/10, it had great action, an awesome and original plot, and it made me laugh a lot too (mainly every time Kurono panicked when he got in danger or when hiding his you-know-what).
If you don't mind seeing some boobs and some blood, then this Anime is a must watch.
-
I will be starting on Gantz tonight, I have heard some good things about this anime.
-
Just finished Ergo Proxy, was a good watch. Got a little confusing in the last few episodes, and the ending was a bit average. Overall I'd give it a 7.5/10
-
Ergo Proxy episode 23.
-
Ergo Proxy episode 14. So far a great show.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
10/10
I just came off watching Gantz, Ninja Scroll and Blade of the Immortal. So this Anime was a breath of fresh air. I loved this a lot.
In the beginning Mirai was such an annoying and a very unlikable character (to me anyway). And by the end of the Anime she was such a kind hearted girl who really showed care for her brother and to others. Yuuki along with Mari were also a great characters.
The ending was good and very sad. It went for 11 episodes and I felt that it was just the right amount of episodes, any longer it would of been dragged out.
The artwork was excellent, from seeing buildings collapse to the way Yuuki smiles. This is a must see.
Anyway I think I've gone on enough about it. To the people that have seen this, please feel free to recommend me similar style Anime in a PM.
