  1. Long time ago... Speed racer, battle of the planets, star blazers. Didn't know it was anime then!
  2. Just watched Space Battleship Yamato 2010. Not bad but the ending was such a departure from the anime it was really a shame!
  3. The Hobbit. Good movie and was pretty true to the book(or what I remember of it). I just didn't realize it was only half the book. I was a little disappointed in that considering the Lord of the Rings was a movie per book.
  4. The new series is decent, but TLA is a hard act to follow. The original series had much better character development, though it was longer. I just feel Aang's character is somehow more believeable.
  5. Storage Wars! Barry is a riot. It's my daughter's favorite as well.
  6. I'd have to agree that it depends on the genre. I remember watching Robotech and thinking in some episodes just get on with the space battles! Other times I end up watching a series because I connect with the characters and want to see what happens to them or how they overcome a situation. I guess character development is important unless is an epic battle series, then it's the animation and the intensity of the scenes. Although the story line is important I've seen some so-so story lines that I couldn't stop watching because of the characters.
  7. MoH Airborne - the campaign was way too short and a little frustrating at times, but I really enjoyed it and have played it through several times. Second would be CoD - MW but really only for the AC-130 mission!
  8. Claymore, Trinity Blood, Chrome Shelled Regios, Kaze no Stigma... all need more seasons. Nothing worse than really getting into a show only to have it end with no resolution.
  9. My first was either Star Blazers or Battle of the Planets. Didn't know they were anime, but they definately got me hooked. Speed racer was an early one too. That was long enough ago I really don't remember which came first, but Star Blazers was definately my favorite!
  10. I'm replaying Fear on the PC. Pretty sure I wouldn't last long against a little girl trying to light me on fire!
  11. Iron Storm! It's an old PC game but the only one I've played over and over. Graphics are very dated but the concept is very original.
  12. I have a local store with good prices and selection for my console. Computer games I use steam or amazon. I like downloading games, but sometimes it's nice to own a physical copy!
  13. If you're looking for a single movie go with Appleseed. It's well developed and understandable by itself. If you get Ghost in the Shell you'll end up wanting to watch all of it, not just the movie.
  14. I like the character depth and the drawing style. Also, many of the storylines I watch are dark and kinda tragic, but there is always hope in them. It really draws me in. Makes you feel like you are there, in the story.
  15. 26 Episodes of Star Blazers Remastered plus the 6 divergences. I don't often have that much time though.
